With tournaments like these when i cannot decide who is hotter i just choose the most well endowed contestant, but alas in this tourny they are all similarly well endowed, much to my delight/chagrin. How on earth will I choose?

The Tank is awesome!!! The fight scenes are like that cos it a 12A/pg-13 movie. Cept the warehouse when (i think) you are not supposed to be able to see what is going on - its like the baddies' perspective.

Any rational person would say: at this stage who can tell. You cant and shouldnt base these consoles on their predecessors. 360 is the only one with anything worth scrutinising and it all looks fantastic. But i cant count out teh PS3 or revolution cos i dont know what they offer.

The graphics thing - people tend to say that every generation "surely the graphics cant get any better!" and yet they do. But largely i agree with you , its difficult to see what the new horizon to break is in gameplay and to imagine how they will make big improvements in graphics. but developers will keep pushing the boundaries requiring more space and power and in turn that will necessitate an update in consumer technology.

5 years is a an eon of technological improvements. So i expect new consoles to made purely on that basis.

I guess its still too early for Nintendo to reveal much about the console. It probably did so in response to the other two console unveilings and to ensure that peoplel know nintendo isnt out of the console game. They wouldn't even give a general release date other than say it will be released in 2006. ...of course it could be that they want to keep things ultra secret and create an air of mystique.

With self made pcs isnt there a risk of random hardware conflicts? The bigger names tend to do soak tests on set hardward configs so at least you know the ste up will work.

.. will this mean i am able to play games on my microwave and warm food in my console? Or how about keep food cold in my tv. With all these cell enabled home appliances talking to each other, will they form a clique and shut me out? Worse still what if they conspire against me?

Ninty being innovative refers to thier hardware does it not? All that stuff ender said and then now eith the Nintendo DS touch screen. In the N64 days they were very controlling about volume of releases and they withheld coding techniques from third party developers.

Cell processors are not just made for gaming. Sony want to put them in everything. But yeah 360 not more powerful than PS3 (like it matters)
