"The Shining (the original Kubrick film)" The second one was better. Much better. the original is well liked because of one line. The wife was horrible in that one, and Steven Weber did a much better job that Nicholson (though Nicholson is a better actor overall). Henceforth, the REAL 'The Shining' by Stephen King is the best The Shining movie. Undisputable.

Games aren't funny. They're deadly serious. Funny games tend to suck, and are automatically thrown in the trash.

Outside of the the stupid new class, and the crappy new DR rules; the interview is kewl.

"Iran is very stable, Volourn. As stable as the US if not moreso. Just because you don't agree with their leadership does not make a country unstable." There are countries who I disagree with their leadership that i don't feel is unstable. I don't care for Chirac; but France is VERY stable. Heck, I don't care for our Kanadian gov't which are a bunch of crooks; but our country is stable is as well. Iran's country is unstable, imo, because the rulers of Iran rule their country by force which means all it takes is for someone stronger to come along and take them out. That's a sign of an unstable country to me. Not to mention that in 2005 when a country's leader says that another country should be completely wiped out or that a amjor event of the last century is make believe are sure signs of instability. The list goes on...

No. I think its' funny that some people love violence in games; but ahbor sex in them. Much like movies, tv, and the like. Weird. To me, anthing should be allowed in games. If ya don't like it; don't play it. Simple yet logical rule that hurts nobody.

"What gives you the right the judge peoples taste?" The same right that everyone has the right to judge me or anyone else they interact with. They give their opinion. i give my opinion on their opinion. They give their opinion on my opinion on their opinion. "If people think the OC for NWN sucks, then it sucks." Nice to know when someone 'thinks' something it is auotmatically a fatc. I mean, just because someone thinks FO sucks doens't mean it's true either. R00fles! P.S. I'm not trying to get you to go by my opinion. I'm just sayin' your opinion sucks and is therefore wrong. LOL -

You should play POR2. Or Sacred. Or MW. Or a host of other games on that list. Anyone whos eriosuly thinks that POR2 or VTM:R is better than NWN OC doesn't know squat. Just sayin'. " -
"Additionally, I don't think it's for anyone to say who deserves to get nuclear weapons and who doesn't. Either we're all allowed them, or we're all not." Huh? That's silly. The world's countries aren't treated equal nor they should be. Just like I ahve no problem with police officers having guns, and strictly oppose criminals having them; I'd rather have a country like Britain having access to nukes than a rogue, unstable nation like Iran having them.

It'sa funny that the two best series on that list are actually losing. LOL And, I don't even care for the Diablo series much, and I'll say that. -
"FYI Volo the UK, like Denmark, are Constitutional Monarchies. I dunno how you got that mixed up with theocracy tho." LOL I know. I already amitted my bad. I was just being silly. :D "He lost in an election that weren't framed at all. The SL can voice his opinion to the voters which candidate he thinks is better for the job, but he can't make ppl vote who he prefers, the guy lost - end of story." Huh? Who said otherwise? All I said was that the President doesn't have any real power. In fact, that's why the Iranian people didn't vote for the old President - because he lacked power to make any real changes as the SL would just veto anything that might be against his ideal view Islam. You also, once again, conviently ignore the fact that the SL and his religious advisors BANNED many candidates simply because he dissaaproved of them. "the president has also executive power, that is my view." My point though is that whatever executive power the Prez may have is pretty much nullified by the fact that the unelected SL can simply say no if he so chooses.
-
Not opinion; but fact. perhaps, you missed what happened to the other President of Iran. You seem to forget that Iraq also had elections. I guess that means that Iraq was a Democracy, and Hussein was the democratically elected leader as well. It's fact that the President doesn't have ultimate authority and hence Iran is not a democracy. Democracy is about the people voting their leader in. The people of Iran don't get that to do that. They vote a President in who answers to the SL. The SL *is* exactly what his title says he is. And, guess what? He's not voted in by the people fo Iran. Therefore, it isn't a democracy. Sure, it has some bases of a democracy; but it is not one. Game over. Unless the Supreme Leader says otherwise as he has ultimate authority. R00fles! P.S. So true, Hades.

All countries must do what they think is bets for them. If Iran feels like attacking Isreal to help their cause so be it. However, all decisisons have consequences. Same with nukes. They can go grab nukes; but if the US (and other coutnries) feel that iran having nukes is too dangerous they ahve the right to preemptively strike to make sure Iran never gets to use them. See, how your 'countries have the right to do x' works? It works either way and becomes a nasty cycle.

"In a Theocracy the religion has the power. Last time I checked the power of Great Britain isn't in the hands of its religious leaders." Oops. My bad. I should know better. LOL "The president and the supreme leader both have executive power." All the funny charts asdide, we all know wheere the real power in Iran resides. It's the Supreme Commander and his religious advisors. Afterall, that's why the last president lost this election. He was VERY popular with the Irnaian citizens; but he simply could not successfully push for reforms becuase the SC kept overruling him. You also convienntly ignore the fact that the SC and his religious advisors can veto EVERY decision the Presdient makes. And, it's nice you ignore the fact that the SC and his relgious advisiors also stopped many would be Presidential Candiates from running just because they can.

No. The elected governement has no real power at all. The Surpreme Leader who is not elected does. Heck, the name says it all. Britain is a solid example Democratic Theocracy. It has a Royal Family; but the elected government has the power to rule. Don't spread rumours, myths, and innuendo.
-
"their president is the head of government (executive body" Iran's Presdient doesn't have the power. Nice try though. He is NOT their leader. As for the election, sure the elction itself was fair; but let's not forget the hundreds if not thousands of candidates that were thrown in the trash can because the Elders led by the Supreme Leader didn't like them because they bel, ieved things. But, yeah, the President has the power. Lame. You also seem to forget there's a relatively large base of Iranians - espicially the youths - who DO NOT hate the US. Nice try though.

Your must be crazy. Worst combat ever? Ha. KOTOR is closer to that function. NWN is close to being the best. Very, very close.

Don't. It's 3+ years old. If you haven't bothered to play it yet why start now? -
Like I'm worried about being found 'non credible' by the lunatics on the 'net. LOL :D

NWN does. Madden 2006 does. Megamania does. MVP Baseball 2005 does.

I stand by what I said as well. NWN was awesome. I disagree with you on its most redeemable feature though. It's most redeemable feature is seeing the same people bash it even know they are wrong and everyone knows it. btw, Criticism is different than bashing. In fact, as a 'total NWN Fanboy', I have criticized NWN A LOT, and I'm not exactly gungo ho about SOU. And, I'm such a 'total NWN fanboy' I rate the OC 75%. R00fles! And, LH while not good is definitely not 'amongst the worst'. It certainly is no POR2 or MW or DS. That's for sure. "NWN has horrible rules implementation compared to ToEE." No.TOEE was *slightly* better. -
"KotOR is definite a B+ (90%) and KotOR 2 is a solid B (85%). " Weird. Earlier in this thread I swear you had said that KOTOR2 was > KOTOR using my numerical code. Hmm.. P.S. Haha Take your funny Bs.

M&M is a CRPG. So is the 'other' Vampire game. Just not a very good one. heh. "Wow, admitting ignorance and changing my mind in response to a counter-argument, all in one thread. I'm breaking new internet ground here!)" That is impressive! WOWSERS! Good stuff. -
Don't insult NWN's awesome combat by comapring it to the horrible KOTOR combat, NWN's combat has lots of options, variety, and fun. None of which the KOTOR combat can have. Not even close. And, the KOTOR stories are not unpareelled. They are slightly above average (in comparison, the OC's is average, SOU's is slightly below average, and HOTU is above average). Don't overrate KOTOR series. It is a sad state of affairs when that occurs.
