I stand by what I said as well. NWN was awesome. I disagree with you on its most redeemable feature though. It's most redeemable feature is seeing the same people bash it even know they are wrong and everyone knows it. btw, Criticism is different than bashing. In fact, as a 'total NWN Fanboy', I have criticized NWN A LOT, and I'm not exactly gungo ho about SOU. And, I'm such a 'total NWN fanboy' I rate the OC 75%. R00fles! And, LH while not good is definitely not 'amongst the worst'. It certainly is no POR2 or MW or DS. That's for sure. "NWN has horrible rules implementation compared to ToEE." No.TOEE was *slightly* better.

Don't insult NWN's awesome combat by comapring it to the horrible KOTOR combat, NWN's combat has lots of options, variety, and fun. None of which the KOTOR combat can have. Not even close. And, the KOTOR stories are not unpareelled. They are slightly above average (in comparison, the OC's is average, SOU's is slightly below average, and HOTU is above average). Don't overrate KOTOR series. It is a sad state of affairs when that occurs.

That shouldn't matter much. Afterall, I'm sure they budgeted the game accordingly. Or they didn't, and that's why it bombed.. Afterall, Bio and Atari (anmd Interplay) liekly had no problem putting cahs into it 'cause they likely knew they'd get the sales required to pay for it as long as the game was good. I would hope the creators of VTM:R did the same. But, apparantly they didn't and hence it's utter embarassment. Heck, if it wasn't for NWN and its Dm client or VTM:BL no one would likely remember that horrible game at all. That's how awful it truly was. Its claim to infamy is its crappiness, it was the first game with a DM cLient, and the first v:tm GAME (iirc). " Anyways, back on topic, I doubt that Obsidian will make a sequel to BL. Who knows if they will make a Vampire game though.

It's biggest problem it was just old fahsion crap. The handful of people that RP is talkiong about just wasn't enough to sutain it for some obvious reason much like the handful of hard workers still trouncing along on TOEE. But, at least with TOEE i can see why people would like it. I can't say the same for Redemption...

NWN2 is supposedly gonna have as much dev time as BG2 (give or take). I've read more, and that was from Mr. Feargus IIRC. Length of time should not be an issue as long as they plan accoridng. I beleive they've learned from what they did right and what they did wrong with KOTOR2. The fact that they hired/are hiring a dedicated QA staff also illustrates this fact.

The reason it didn't have a supportive fnabase (outside of the one or two typical rara types that even the worst games have) is that there wa snothing redeemable about the game at all. Whether an indidivudal dislikes NWN or not; it obvious had enough people liking it to keep it going strong which, of course, making it worth BIO's time to continue support it. V:R was just plain old fahsion dreadful, and most people had that assessment of it.

"Thanks to you guys, POR2 was a commercial success!!!" Only for the first couple of weeks than our heroism and bravery of being amongst the first purchasers made sure other innocent games didn't fall victim to the evils of POR2!!! And, hence, why there is no POR3 at this time!!!!

It doesn't mean they suck to me.

I do know that games can be made in a year. So, making that exuse for a game whose engine and rules as well as a good chunk of story was pre made for it making exuses based on length of dvelopment is silly. Anywyas, KOTOR2 is still a good game, and I'm of the belief that outside of a few bug squashing and simply MORE content that the quality of said content would not have changed one iota.

POR2 - Pools of Radiance 2 DQ8 - Dragon Quest 8 IWD2 - Icewind Dale 2 DS - Dungeon Siege 2 DD - Divine Divinity VTM:R - Vampire the Masquarade: Redemption W&W - Wizards & Warriors ES series - Elder Scroll Series (Daggerfall, Morrowind et all. though Df may have come before who knows) "Thought this was "Worst CRPGs"? I wanted a good single player RPG, I didn't get that. I got a tired generic story with no real depth." These two games are good, and it's silly to discount half of the game of NWN.
