Time to bee HEard players from the UK!
Volourn replied to 3vil Duckie's topic in Computer and Console
They wouldn't be disgusted by it if they didn't play it. IMAGINE THAT! -
He did nothing illegal in the Libby case as far as anyone knows so its not an impeachable offense whether you (or I) like it or not. What does Enron have to do with Bush? I musta missed that.Outside of eveyrone being rich businessfolks and Bush likes the rich business folks. As far as the Iraq war.. while it has obviously been mishandled by EVERYBODY involved; I don't see how that's relaly impeachable either. And, no disagreeing with it is not enough.

Irrelevant. I don't care how violent the game,, or it makes someone sick, or whatever excuse is used. Games (like movies, books, and the liek) should not be banned and/or censored. If you don't likes oemthing; don't buy/play/watch/read it. It's really common sense. Violence is the point of the game including such popular games like God of War, Gears of War, and a host of others. I don't want to live in a dictatorship that tells me what I can or cannot do when what I'm doing isn't hurting anybody else. We have enough of that with other stuff. Basically, get OUT OF MY HOUSE! -

Here's a thought. If you don't want your games playing a certain game don't let them play it. Perish the thoguht of parents actually doing their job. Manhunt 2 shoud be left alone. Censorship is for cowards with no self control, and being judgemental who annoy me because they get me to write posts like this judging them as well. It's a vicious cycle they start. -
Proof, please.

I've changed a lot. And, I blame the internet 1%.
-
EA is awesome. Period. They would make ana wesome FO. My chocies would be companies who make games that i enjoy which would included both BIO, and Obsidian and completely nullify Bethesda.

Wow, thats up there. Even for you Just because something is illegal doesn't make it immoral. I have no perosnal problems with people speeding. Espicially, since 99.9% of drivers do it without getting into accidents. Speeding to me is not a problem; it's lack of control of the car is where the problem starts. I mean isn't there that one super highway somehwere in Europe that allowspeople tod rive at 'insane' speeds comapred to most NA places yet supposedly they don't, in comaprison, all that much problems with accidents due to that speeding? Game over, DUDES, game over.

Interesting. Can they prove a signature, though? I doubt a 'verbal agreement' will suffice in a court of lw in this case with Washington having (presumably) asigned deal.
-
I agree; but that wasn't the issue that some were arguing. They were whining how this proves Bush was going 'above the law' when, in essence, he was following the law.
-
"I have no sympathy for people who intentionally break the law and get caught." Aren't there laws that disallows many silly things? I mean, if a place made it illegal NOT to own a slave; I guess you would cheer if a non slave owner didn't follow that law? R00fles!
-
"the bigger picture of above-the-law antics the administration loves so much." You seem confused. Bush's actions were presumably LEGAL which means he FOLLOWED the law. Git it?
-
I think all these laws punishing drivers is beyond dumb. It sounds like a horrid mix of greed and delusional over protectiveness by nanny states.
-
Wat i find funny is I'm no big fan of Bush; but his haters are so asanine, foolish, illogical, and hypocritical in their criticsim of him; they make it *eall* easy for me to support him and me come across more pro Bush than i am. I wanted him to lose the 2000 election, and I like Clinton way more than Bush . Well.. I used to. until his uber supporters went insane. This is another instance where Bush is the Anti Christ despite doing something that pretty much every former President has done as well. *shrug*
-
Disrespect for the law? Huh? That's weird. Isn't the President LEGALLY allowed to give pardons, and 'commute' sentences? If so, this was the President upholding and using HIS legal powers. Nothing about disrepecting the law here.

Where are people getting the idea that Gomez is being paid $10 mil? I'm seeing about $7 mil. Either way good for the Rangers. Too bad about Nylander - he and Jagr are perfect for each other. Now, hopefully the Rangers can trash Shanahan and gain by subtraction. Shanahan is too old to help.

"I don't know better, can you share your story? Who doesn't get free coverage?" I, for one. The only coverage that Kanadians are guaranteed are life threatening ones, and you would have to show that is. In fact, in some ways, it is better to be on sociala ssitance than have a low end job because you'd get more overall coverage then. I know this by experience. And, I've seen people putting in 40 hour weeks with actual helath insurance and still not be fully covered and have to pay for it out fo tehir own pocket. This myth that Kanada has fully free health coverage insurance is plain old fashion bogus. Is it better or worse than the US'? I duno. Can't compare the two since I've never been the US; but the US isn't the only country with some horrid 'worst case scenarios'. Taks makes a greta point about that thing. Not to mention the wait times can really be horrible in my country. Good health coverage; but FAR, FAR, FAR from perfect.
-
"There medical systems are better than ours." O RLY? That must explain why many Kanadians head south to Amerika for health care. Not to emntion, the absolute constant whining one ehars about our health care system. It's non stop, and annoying. And, we don't get fully free coverage for every Kanadian. That's baloney, and if Micheal Moore is trying to spread that kind of lie through this new movie; only a fool would believe it.

1. I didn't think so before, but I'm starting to believe it possible. There are a lot pitfalls though. I used to think internet romance couldn't lead anywhere, and was a joke. Not so sure anymore. I'd just rather not be a victim of someone lying. That would be embarassing. Not as embarassing as beiung one of you; but embarassing nontheless. 2. Ahh... So most of you like to taunt poor souls who got hit by the ugly stick. Now, i know why I find internet drama cool. HAHA! I wouldn't care if someone was 'ugly' or 'not ugly'. It's mostly irrelevant. 3. It's because we want to. the same rerason some people like athletic activities, and some like more quiet pursuits. (BONUS POINT QUESTION: Kind of a trick as there are actually 4 answers - Obsidian, Television Without Pity, BIO, and MLB.com). 4. Hades is the coolest. 5. Rosh is the foolest. He murdered a man, and I hate murderers. More drama to come... or not... it depends on how bored.. I get... HAHA!

Games, and movies, and books, and tv shows are not reall. Only delusional freaks who have major problems already would think otherwise. Using entertainment as scapegoats for other atcual issues is cowardly, and pathetic. Don't bury the heads ain the sand. Deal with the TRUE problems.

"2. Find help here." On, mon Meta, u r a funni man.

Tale admits to supporting book burning. Cool.

HA! Another made up fact: Actually, the more video games you play the less likely you will have a girlfriend in the first place. This means by playing video games, we as a society, lessening the chances of there being such abuse, meaning games actually make the world a better safer place. L0L

"I'll agree blaming a murder solely on a video game is silly, especially when there are other violent medias like TV and movies, but it can help to make situations worse when the person is already suffering from drugs, social issues, or whatever." I'll concede this point. However, I would point out that instead of trying to take the easy out and making a scapegoat, it be better to focus on the person's actual serious problems (whatever that may be) that led them, to that situation in the first place than blaming something like entertainment. Afterall, millions of people have played the GTA, the vast vast majority of them act relatively rationally and non violently. The ones who don't were more than likely already violent to begin with. ie. A boyfriend who beats up his girlfriend is likely to do so whether he has access to GTA or not. Afterall, spousal abuse has been around forever.
