One of the things BIO has mainly pimped about ME is their dialogue system, and how chocies made will not just effect ME but ME2, and 3. Your post is an embarassment to truth tellers.

Hades loves BIO. He buys all their games, plays them multiple times (even NWN OC a half dozen times minimum), enjoys them, then bashes them to be one of the 'cool kids' who hate someone that is popular to make themselves feel special, and elite.

That's okay. The Madden games are one of my fvaorite series. I have no problems forking $50 a year for its 'updates'. And, as a fan of the series, they do make changes to the game eahc year - and, not always in a good way hence why some versions I love it, and others I hate. Example is the NHL series. NHL 08 (the latest one) is the first EA hockey game I've enjoyed in a long while. "Conceivably like DA then?" Yes, DA. Everyone here knows I like the dwarven race as is. BIO has aid their dwarves have certain differfence to the typical dwarf trhat we fantasy fans know. For all I know, I may HATE the DA version. Not to mention I dislike the fact that DA is using mana.. Urgh. With NWN2, even though there are parts are dislike, I like the game just fine even if it is just a sequel (by a new company) largely due to its similarities to the original (and some differences/upgrades too).

Finished the first chapter. Pretty good game with very little if any bugs effetcing me. I thought I had a problem with the SM; but I jumped the gun. The joinable npcs are, on the whole, much better than the NWN2 OC ones. There are no really annoying Neeshka type ones. I really like Safiya though two things bug me about her - first off, she comes off 'too goody goody' for a Red Wizard, and she comes off as too emo at the start. You just met her, and you can already tell she has big secrets to tell, and she seems way too into you. I'm sure I'll learn about why later on; but still.. Overall, great character. Gann, and the Angela re rather cool though the angel should NOT be wanting to travel with my chaotic evil Red Wizard (who nobody not even Safiya recognizes as ones meh) who just gobbled up a spirit of a god. L0L I haven't done much with the spirit meter; but it looks managable. It seems alright. Battles are a lot more challeneging than the OC (still not super hard; but that's ok). Then again, I have no real tanks (angel isn't too bad) though other ice demo summon. Combat is definitely more fun. I'll ignore the ph@t loot as that's not surprising. The new PrCs, spells, and feats are neato though I wish some more dwarven subraces were added as well as spells like Time Stop too. Epic spells are just as limited (if not more so) than HOTU's as they all seem to be variations of each other. At least HOTU's epic spells had defensive ones. Story is much more more interesting than the OC yet again even with the attempt to cover it up, the story is obviously another version of 'PC is the Chosen one' as everything is about the PC. *shrug* The Okku choice was very solid. Overall, very good thus far. I'd give it around a 8-8.5. It's pretty much tied (thus far) HOTU and TOB as best epxansion. there's a chance it'll be better too in the end.

"Explain." From reading the boards, after you defeat the first major enemy in the game, you should have a choice to devour its spirit energy or not. Afterwards, the spirit meter should show up. That never happen for me (and others), because of some major bug. So, it seems I won't even be able to judge the spirit meter system since I seemingly won't be effected by it if I'm reading things right. L0L

All i gots to say is that Obsidian seems to like me as I won't have to deal with the Spirit Meter at all in my game. HAHAHA!

NHL 08, and MOTB.

ME should be BIO's best game espicially in the actual role-playing department. The game should be 20-30 hours main quest only Meshugger. It should be up another 15-20 hours on side quests. I'm a little worried about combat; but I expect it's gonna have lots of similarities with KOTOR and JE so if you like that great; if not no. Even my doubts about the dialogue system is waning though it's still not my deal. Remember, that BIO RPGs (espicially since BG10 don't tend to ahve 'empty space' areas like an Oblivion style RPG either.

Expected by who? Those who think BIO is bigger than they actually are? Even KOTOR which is absed on one of the most popular IPs ever sold about 3 mil copies combined. I expect ME to be around 1 mil copies sold. 2 mil max. Anymore is wishful thinking, imo.

There is no reason to believe the gobblygook of DA being 'vapourware'/ That's nonsensical talk. As for what BIO is, theya re like they always are - a game company. The only difference now is that they are a game company just bought by another company. 8shrug*

I don't take that 'review' seriously. the game isn't even complete yet so I doubt they played the final version. R00fles!

EA is profitable because they make games people wnat to play, and enjoy. i dare say LOTS of people like EA just fine despite all the rnating on how 'evil' theya re. It should also be noted that while EA was the first to pay for the rights of exclsuivity in the sports genre, they're not the only company to do. 2K did the same (after whining about EA) with MLB, and EA's abseball games were vastly superior (no swuch thing as a better baseball game that EA's MVP). And, 2K's fanboys celebrated that hypocritical move. That said, i find nothing wrong with such exclusivity deals, personally.
