  1. China will back NK as long as its prudent to do so. But, even China won't back them if Nk poushes too far. China has given NK a major tongue lashing in the past, and if this report is true, I would not be surprised if China will okay further snactions... which will prove how empty the NK threats for 'full scale war' are as I doubt they would commit to a full scale war over sanctions as a full scale war would likely - no matter the result - end with a certain leaer no longer leading his country... if he doesn't believe it, he can ask his buddy Hussein...
  2. Fry him. If he was so naturally talented at being a pilot, why not just get the license? He's a scumbag who respects nobody but himself and his owns elfish desires.
  3. Racism is racism. It's not about hurt feelings. I believe in REAL equality not this pretend garbage. Then again, youa dmitted to being a bigot by assuming I was Amerikan and took that as a chance to bash Amerikans. I cna't takebigot seriously when disucsisng the evils of bigotry and racism.
  4. "And court cases have upheld that they can restrict what students wear, sorry bud." To a point. They still have to follow the rule of law. They can't show racism, bigotry, biasness, etc. They can't have one rule for one sect of students and another rule for another. They have to be consistent, and alw still trumps the school. "Ah. So accosting a teacher, or speaking out against the curriculum in an attempts to disrupt the class is still A-OK, because children (deemed minors, and hence of limited rights and privileges) are fully protected under the first amendment, right? If children are not deemed capable enough to vote, why are they fully protected under rights that they presumably (through the fact that they are a minor) don't fully understand." The law supposedly exists to protect those who can't protect themselves so yeah the law most definitely is there to protect children espicially. Let's not forget, nowadays more and more the public wnat children to be treated as adults. Afterall, everytime a child commits a heinous crime how many times do we hear they should be tried as an adult? "What? Does this also mean parents can get sued for telling their kids that they are not allowed to wear a particular shirt as well?" Don't be silly. The law gies parents more leeway to deal with the special relationship between parent and child. This is why it tends to be illegal to physically discipline a child unless you are the parent (unless the aprent goes toof ar and it becomes abuse). So, the law allows the parent to decide what their child wears. Of coruse, the parent has more responsibilities in regards to the child due to their special relationship - providing them free room and board, etc. Schools, are also deemed to have a special relationship with their students hence why they are allowed to have dress codes and rules of conduct. But, they still have to follow the rule of law. That's why the school in this case was wrong. Plain, and simple. The school board even agrees with my assessment here. They know the school screwed up, and overstepped.
  5. "But with everyone taking different sides." Huh? According to my post, I'm taking the same side - of the students who is supposedly 'provoking' others while Hurlshot cotninues to go with whatever the school wants. I wrote the following in that thread: 'The school is in the wrong. School shouldn't just be teaching math but about teaching tolerance, acceptance, and respecting otehrs' choices. The kiddies who fought over this should be the ones punished not the cross dresser. I won't pretend to understand the need to dress like a girl; but it's not a big deal because someone cross dressing does not hurt me. Period. ' "I'm not trying to be rude to Volourn," Stop lying. Your constant harassment and flaming is silly. Espicially with your spamming (thankfully you've stopped it) of my inbox with your foolishness. "That said, your suggestion basically amounts to giving people carte blanche to taunt each other and if they get hit they can recover, and sue the guy who threw the punch. " Nah. Not really. But, it does say that you cna't use someone's 'provoking' you as an excuse to get violent. "Either way, the school is not a court room. What works out here doesn't work within the schools grounds." The law overrules the school ground. Also, the school board itself said the school was in the wrong.
  6. "administration. My argument is that a disciplinary action was not appropriate, but they would be remiss to not address the intentional baiting. If a situation had escalated between the 5 students and the ones celebrating Cinco De Mayo and the administrator had ignored the 5 students, I see that as a serious offense." You see wrong. If the situation had 'esclated' into a violent confrontation I would disicipline the ones who started the violence. At best, it's called aggravated assault for a reason. Do not punish potential victims. But, hey, I guess women who wear revealing clothes are evil punks since they are baiting potnetial rapists right so it's their fualt if they get raped just like it be these boys' fault if they get assault for wearing flags of their country in that country. Come on, now. " It doesn't matter what you put on, if you put it on with the objective of baiting, then you are baiting. " So, like I said ebfore, if a Montreal fan wears a Cannadiens jersey to the Penguins arena, they are evil and baiting? Hmm... And, they get what they deserve? Does. not. compute. Stop blaming victims 9or potential victims) for the crimes of others. "educator. It is not a job for everyone, it requires a certain type of mindset. That is why there is such a huge burnout rate, 50% of new teachers quit within the first 5 years. Given that it is a job with good benefits and 3 months of vacation, that is a surprisingly high number." No, it isn't. Lots of jobs have much higher burnout rates. *shrug*
  7. Even the school board made it very clearly the principla was in the wrong. They apologized on behalf of the school. And, anyone whose dealt with school boards knows, that's very rare for that happen espicially this quickly and so matter-of-factly. The school was in the wrong, and they know it. And, any reasonable socially concious person knows it.
  8. "if a positive discrimination is terrible? The answer is no. No it fething well isn't. I don't agree with it, because I believe it demeans the beneficiaries. But is it properly serious? No." There is no such thing as 'positive descrimination'. Racism is racism. "I'm pissed off with you because I'm sick of white people" Racist. Or self hating white person. You decide. "YOU WHITE PEOPLE" 'Nough said. "Ooooh. We have it so bad here. I'm a third class citizen in my own country." Never claimed that, Mr. Extreme. "I've been to America for many years. I have family there. I've also seen formal racism under apartheid, encultured racism in the Far East, and casual racism in the Army. I've experienced it myself. It's insane and it's terrifying AND IT IS NOT HAPPENING TO WHITE PEOPLE IN AMERICA." I'm not even Amerikan so what you gibbering about? NEWSFLASH; I am not going to apologize for what OTHER white people did. What OTHER men did. What OTHER Frenchies did. I take responsibility for my actions only, and I have done nothing racist or acted racist in any way. DOUBLE NEWSFLASH: Racism is NOT a white disease. It's a disease that poisons people of all cultures. There are white racisr. There are black racists. These are facts. And, they're both real racists.
  9. Really simple. If you are offended by seeing someone wear the Amerikan flag in Amerika leave the country. Period. I don't see this being handled like this in any other country. btw, It's not about offending someone. It's about them being unreasonably offended. I don't believe bowing to the pressures of the unreasonably offended as morally acceptable. These kids wearing the shirts didn't absolutely nothing wrong. Those bashing them are anti Amerikan or self hating Amerikans. but, hey, I guess those Montreal fans who wear their Canadien jerseys in Puittsburgh are just trolls looking for a reaction and are scumbags. And, it's their fualt if they get bet up by offended Pens fans. L0LZ
  10. People who bash people for wearing their country's colours inside their country are not reasonable people. I say this not being the most patriotic person at that. It's beyond ludicrous to bash Amerikans for wearing the Amerikan flag in Amerika. Just like it be ludicrous to bash Kanadians wearing the Kanadian flag in Kanada or the Iranian flag in Iran. No matter the day. No matter the scenario. No matter what. It's just not reasonable to bash them and label them scumbags over this.
  11. "There's nothing wrong with wearing an American flag in America" 'Nough said. "but there is something obnoxious about a group of kids planning to wear them on a day on which they know it will offend people, whether or not being offended is a reasonable response." Some people deserve to be offended. People who hate Amerika yet live in Amerika are one of those groups. Nazis are another.
  12. "There's no "bashing" going on here. You're ranting against absolutely nothing." Did you read the thread? There is most bashing going on. Unless calling them 'low lifes', 'punks', and other nasty names are supposed to be terms of endearment? Come on, now. People in this thread *are* bashing (Mexican) Amerikans for daring to wear Amerikan flas in Amerika. L0LZ
  13. Yeah, and what he means doesn't make sense. There is no such thing as 'real' racism vs 'fake' racism. Racism is racism. However, some situations with racism end up in harsher and more deadly situations. Holocaust = Case of exteme violence done in name of racism = real racism Japanese person calling black eprson the n word = not extreme violence = real racism whites holding black slaves because they be,lieve blacks are innately inferior = serious case of abuse = real racism black gang beating up white person because of skin = violent = real racism Some of the above cases are more extreme in terms of violences or results but ALL are real racism. It's ludicrous to argue otherwise. Also, guys, which is innately worse? White person who refuses to hire black person based on skin colour OR Black person who refuses to hire white person baed on skin colour (and don't try to argue this never happens) If you answer one or the other, you are a real racist. They are both equally wrong, and both are the actions of a real racist. Period.
  14. "There is a known school policy against wearing bandannas." Bandannas ar enot the issue. They were asked to remove their bandannas and they did so. This is about the flag on the shirts. "There are also many schools with uniforms or limited color choices." Not this school. At leats one of these MEXICAN-Amerikans wore his Amerikan flag shirt OFTEN. " This debacle will likely lead to more schools moving in that direction. " Schools with hardcore dress codes are Nazi wannabes. Yes, I went there. "For example, both red and blue are not allowed on my wife's High School campus." We aren't talking about your wife's campus, are we? Totally irrelevant. " They have a heavy gang issue, but the letter of the law means students can't wear US flag regalia. " Irrevant in this situation. And, oh, btw, a school having a dress code is not the law. It can be overruled by the law, and I bet if someone at her campus would pushf rot he ability to ware a shirt with the Amerikan flag on it they would no doubt win it school 'law' or not. Schools are NOT above the law. That's why they their by laws overturned and once and awhile when they make a garbage by-law (not saying your wife's campus has one but it's not a law). That said, that situation is not this situation. Only hateful anti Amerikans would bash Amerikans wearing an Amerikan flag in Amerika. friggin' ridiculous.
  15. Ooo... a personal attack. YAY! Anyways, the people seeing things in black and white is the side who claim these kids are just evil punks who deserve to be terminated. All because they wear Amerikan flag shirts in Amerika. WEARING AMERIKAN FLAGS IN AMERIKA IS NOW CONSIDERED EVIL. LMAO
  16. You just proved your ignorance since you know very little about me or what I perceive as 'real racism'. LMAO What does that even mean? All racism is real. btw, You can be racist and not be violent. Afterall, there are plenty of racist white people who have never physically or verbally attacked a black person. Doesn't make them any less racist than the KKK member who burns the black perosn's house done. It just makes them less violent.
  17. I guess some noteable like that black lady (can't remember her name) who refused to sit at the back of the bus or MLK were just trolls? Or the women who demanded the right to vote? Some of the most positive changes in the world are done by so called 'trolls' provoking others for a reaction or to make a point. Afterall, the oen refused to sit on the back of the bus could have pushed some racist piece of crap into killing her. And, we all know what happened to MLK when he stood up and 'provoked' others. This situation isn't as dramatic or world effecting as those two but your response is silly and has been disproven many many times. Unless you want to call MLK a troll. Do you?
  18. "The rule of international finance capital strikes the Chinese people once more, this time by pushing the citizens of China to the point of committing acts of violence against their nation's children. But let's blame communism and "those wacky asians" instead." wut? So it's westerners' fault that chinese adults are murderirng chinese children? wth?
  19. Even if their purpose was to make a point or get a response, good on them. Sometiems you have to prod people so they can show their trukly ugly colours. This works for the Muhammed cartoonist. Obviously, the drawings for done to make a point/get a response. And, the point is proven there as it is here. In Amerika, there's a certain section of people who are so hateful of their supposed country that they loathe anyone showing its colours. In Muslm society whuile they claim to be a religuion a peace, the natural reaction to a certain segment of that supposed peaceful religion is violence. That's why I feel the 5 boys - including two of which are Mexican-Amerikans - did absolutely nothing wrong mno matter their motives. Even if they were all whites whsoe message was 'I HATE MEXICAO', they still would have done nothing wrong. You can never be wrong to wear your country's flag in your own country. Period. But, hey, a Mexican wearing a Mexican flag in Mexico on Amerika's Independence Day in a neighbourhood known to house many Amerikans is a scumbag... right? L0LZ
  20. "As if whites in America are suddenly the victimised underclass." You completely miss the point.
  21. "Do you really believe these 5 students just innocently showed up with US flag bandanna's and matching T-shirts? They just happened to all coordinate their wardrobes on this day?" My gosh. 5 Amerikans wearing Amerikan flags in Amerika. What evil ghouls theya re! "You have a series of bad decisions being made here." Wearing your country's flag in your own country is never a bad decision. " It started when these 5 boys decided to synchronize their clothing on a day of a Mexican Heritage Celebration. All parties should be held accountable. " Those 5 boys did nothing wrong. The people who claim they are, are the bigots/self hating punks.
  22. "LOL. So you'd argue that calling you a 'dumb ****' would be identical to calling Nelson Mandela a 'dumb ****'? WTF, Volo?" If you can't tell the difference between monkey with the other word, you aren't using common sense. Monkey has multiple meanings including referring tot he animal. btw, Did you know that all humans and monkies have a lot in common. The term 'monkey' has been used to refer to lazy, dumb people who ar eno better than the flingers of crap. It's been used as an insult for people of any colour. While the racist word you refer to really only has one purpose. It is completely illogical to use that to refer to a white person or asian or whatever. But, monkey? Not racist. Just a general insult. Nobody, on the other hand, would ever think of calling me the n word because it would be illogical in any context. But, hey, I guess I should go up to a black person and call them white trash then right? Racism term, afterall. But, kind of loses its racist power when used against a non white person. The sad fact is I am lone of the few people who is truly antin racism as most have no problem with racism against causcaions. To me, racism is wrong no matter the forum and no matter who it is against. But, monkey is not racist.
  23. Meh. Only crybabies as monkey in that context can be used just as well for white people. But, I guess, it's okay to insult white people by calling them 'monkey'. I really loathe racism.
  24. That last article brings up a good point.. what would the reaction be if an (Mexican) Amerikan living in Mexico wore an Amerikan flag shirt on Independence Day? Even more to the point, what would the reaction be if other Mexican students decided to wear the Mexican colours that day/ Would they be accused of bigotry or would anyone even care? To me, this is just abnother example, of how it's alright to bash the US/whites. It should eb pointed out that two of five students are Mexican Amerikans. This is pure bigotry and/or self hatred. Disgusting.
  25. Back on topic, a certain famous movie reviewer has decided to liken these teens as Nazis. All for daring to wear an Amerikan flag in Amerika. Extremists are scumbags and now that sadly includes one of my fave movie reviewers. Pathetic.
