One of the dialogue trees when you first arrive on Dantooine includes the Council replying with "yes, the Jedi Council is on Coruscant". you guys are confusing the Jedi academy with the jedi council. The council was originally on ossus ( the planet that was destroyed & moved to Coruscant. The academy was on Dantooine and i think afte it is destroyed by Malak it also goes to Coruscant where Anakin & co. will destory it in episode 3.

It dosen't have to but I think it will because the of these little points 1) The first Kotor only took place on only outer rim worlds, that way they can use existing star wars material without really affecting the expanded universe . I think KOTOR 2 is following this idea. 2) Vid game developers are oh so scared of fan backlash, So if they can't depict Couresant as legitimatly in game form as the Pequels did in movie form they'll probably think it's better not to try. 3) The plot setting that has depicted on vid game web sites which states: The events from the end of KOTOR, which included a rather dramatic change in the Jedi population, have led to a shift in the balance between good and evil. The Old Republic is beginning to collapse because the scars inflicted upon it during the war with Darth Malak have run deep. The worlds of the Outer Rim are left to fend for themselves, while Republic forces pull back to try to maintain what order they can. Though this move is great news if you're a resident of the core systems, it kind of blows if you live in the Outer Rim. The remnants of the Sith, who are never in a good mood to begin with, are especially punchy following their battle with the Jedi. As a result, they are preying on the unprotected worlds and are slowly gaining a sizable and dangerous presence

Naw I don't think it's Coruscant because they establiished that the sith problem in the galaxy is mainly taken place on the outer rim worlds: Dxun, Telos, Dantooine etc. so I don''t think Corucant will be in it. another reason why I don't think that those pics are Coruscant are because even at night Coruscant is always teeming with life speeders etc. (except if your going to meet a sith lord in a burnt out industrial area ;-) so I they wouldn't try to make Coruscant in KOTOR unless they could do it right. P.S. One thing that I like about KOTOR is that they went out of the way to interpert little things about the Starwars universe like how the tuskens came to be the way they were etc. Now the Jedi knights are the sworn protectors of the Republic. It would be nice if in the game they explained how that promise came to be.

With Christmas being a cash cow season for video games, If Obsidian did get the game completed & approved by lucasarts before this time I can see why they would want to release earlier then feb. Either way is cool The main thing is that they get the game out before episode 3.

I had suggested this to the devs @ Bioware before KOTOR came out and they thought it would be pretty cool but it's completly out of there hands so hopfully since Obsidian it working closely with Lucas Arts on this they might be able to make somthing happen.....or at lest suggest it. PS I would love to see KOTOR UNLEASED characters like they did with the movie charcters!

I don't think that means anything. The original KOTOR had a trailer out long before even starwars fans knew what was going on. Only Starwars fans who were also bigtime game fans knew ahead of time what a good game this was going to be, because not only were BIOWARE dreaming of a starwars rpg, on some level we all were. what this all boils down to is KOTOR SHOULD HAVE A TRAILER BY NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I think it's great Jeremy would come and make a post like this. I am dissapointed that he isn't doing KOTOR 2. I loved the themes he did for the first one & Baulder's Gate. Hopfully Mr. I forgot his name at lucasarts will be able to add to this.

well, the hard dudes at least. i still remember the sith on the unknown world going "i increased my power tenfold blahblahblah". ZZZZZZZZZZT! "arrgh" i mean, come on. i was ALONE. they should've at least had some chance against me, what with being sith and all... (who's the master? who's the funky jedi master? that's right...) more evil lords with more cinematic (meaning LONG) fights. else it'll be just like in kotor. some quotes to make my point: "our master will be most pleas-"ZZZZT! "aaakkk" "die jed-"BZZZBZZZBZZZT! "aaaiiiieee" (thrown lightsaber) "you may have killed that pathetic bounty hunter, bu-- khhk hkkhhk. aakkkkh" (choke) "GROWLGROWLGRO-" ZZZZT! ZZZZT! (two lightsabers on dimwit wookie) Ha hah sniggy's a joker I love it i'm gonna use the second last one as my signature from now on!!!! :D

Also what about the trailer any Idea as to when we'll get to see one? I don't mean a gameplay trailer i mean one that will be more cinematic COME OOOOONNNNN!!!!! PLEEEEEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, either flurry or power attack. Can't remember which Edit: removed image from quote... I used Flurry a lot but not Power Attack. Could it be Critical Strike? Didn't use that either. I noticed it a few times on enemies but my own character never had the 'glow'. You guys kill me! :D the glow is because the character is wearing some form of enhanced gloves ie sith guantlets, power gloves etc.

I don't think so KOTOR has only delt with outer rim worlds ie tattoine, Taris, Mannan etc. Kotor2 seems to have the same settiment with the sith lords laying claim to outer rim worlds & the republic retreating to the core worlds, so I don't think they are gonna stray from that. I would like to see some core worlds though like Mon Calimari Corellia etc.

The cinematics in KOTOR were beautiful It will be very hard to top them in Kotor 2 More detail in the planet take offs & landings (ie more ships, weather effects etc.) would be cool. (I think they are already doing this by the way) I would also like to see more manuverablity in the Ebon hawk. This was something that wow'd a lot of people when they first saw Empire Strikes Back because they had never seen the Millenium fly like that before...They tried this a little bit in Kotor when the hawk was escaping the Leviathan but it was seen from such a far distance that you couldn't really see that much detail... Also somthing that is cinematically Star Wars but never used in Kotor "FUZZY WIPES"! wether circular, left to right, right to left, or whatever KOTOR never had any and that was somthing that Lucas took from the old serial shows and added to StarWars. I know that it may be jarring to have this in gameplay but since Obsidian is intent on spilting up parties on missions and stuff like that i think it would be a great oppurtunity to use that technique maybe it will work better in cut scenes or something

Okay the things I want to see formm E3 in this order are.... #1 TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It can be a teaser or a full-on (yeah like that's gonna happen) but it was the trailer for the original KOTOR that really got the buzz going for the game I think Obsidian should get one out soon so people can get a feel of what this "darker" KOTOR is supposed to feel like. Remember the original KOTOR had a teaser trailer out a long time before the game came out. #2 OTHER WORLDS!!!!!!! I'm tired of those mining colony pics lets see some real stuff now we know Dantooine is one planet Telos is another lets see some more!!! #3 FIGHTING ANIMATIONS!!!!! This is supposed to be one of KOTOR 2's claim to fame so I wanna see how good these new animations look. OTHER THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE DURING OR AFTER E3 -An official game website like the KOTOR site not that lucasarts crap. -game music -how some of the cg cut scenes are gonna look.
