So....glad there be an update... but when I try to listen to it it gets cut off. Aurora starts talking, then it cuts off at "...and over at the HK fack.."--cut. Quicktime says that is the end of the file, but i think not. So is it me or the site? Thanks

Jedi Master Windu hands down in my opinion. Plus, the fact that he was the only purple lightsaber means that no one was more experienced in lightsaber combat than he. Dont yall know your Star Wars Trivia? LOL. And lets not forget how he owned Palpatine, Fett, etc.

you dont actaully have to sign up. I did because I am an idiot...but I didnt need to. Just copy and paste the whole url and the download begins automatically. But I agree, the attacthement bit would make if more user friendly.

Im with you on the FPS thing. Thats GOT to be a high priority. Also, i think better detection of the video cards would be a priority. The patch helped, but didnt solve the whole problem. EDIT: BTW, your performance tweak posted the other day did help my performance, thought only slightly. But ill take what I can get! Thanks!

For those of you having problems with the patch i recommend two things 1. Start a new game. People have reported that save games dont work with the new patch. 2. IF you have a No-Cd patch, uninstall it, then install the patch as the NoCD patches are not compatible with the patch and will prevent it from successfully installing. If it still doesnt work then i dont know what to tell you.

Yeah so they are just rumors...I thought as much. At least we will have the mod to restore the missing content. Cant wait for that!

My understanding is that there is this one, a second one that will contain high quality movies and music (anybody know if that is ALL it will contain?) and there are RUMORS of a third one for content....Though with Auroras mod that probably wont be necessary.

Well sort of. I was not able to get out of there until i ran over to the large open space in front of the main hanger (the part were you previously always talked to mandalore), then after coninting some fights in that area it cut to the cutscene. So make sure you get to that area because if you stay right in front of the hanget that contains the ship, it seems to never end. Hope that helps.

Two things. First, uses have reported that save games are not always compatible with the changes in the patch (start a new game) Second, if you have a NO-CD patch installed prior to installing this patch, the patch will not install correctly. Remove the NO-CD if you have one and THEN patch. I hope that helps. As for getting your money back, probably have to take that up with the retailer you bought it from.

And still you can choose a lower or higher texture pack .. I don't see your point <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Judging by your spamming of these forums with complete crap that has nothing to do with tech-stuff, that doesn't surprise me. .... On a related note... I've also discovered something VERY interesting using Fred Tetra's KOTOR Tool and that has to do with the textures.2da file that allocates how much memory the game uses with regards to different video-card RAM amounts. The defaults are set to 32 MBs and 64MBs -- Because of the native, onboard XBox GeForce 3 type GPU -- So, I added one for 128 and 256... And the game performs MUCH smoother (I dropped a copy of this .2da file into my Override folder like all mods). There are still problems... But they aren't as severe and the game is much smoother. I did this BEFORE the patch came out if you are wondering. With the patch, it is very smooth except for some areas -- Dantooine STILL has the problem (ATI card; have to have DVBO line in .ini file) -- As do other levels (Peragus Fuel Depot; etc), but the game feels a lot more fluid and like it isn't trying to load things on the fly like it may have been. I don't know if this tweak really works, but it seems to help. Also, the game plays better on Windows XP 64 than regular XP. This may be another reason why as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could you give a little more information? I cant find the file anywhere in my directory but I am the guy that has it detecting the wrong amount of video ram. Thanks!

Anyway....my patch does not seem to be updating...it downloads, installs, but then after I restart and choose update again...it says i still have the old version and attempts to update all over again. So im getting the manual to see if that works....but heads up! ><><<><><><><><>< EDIT: Yeah...since the file is called sw_pc_english_from200424_to210427.exe I would expect it to change the version from the former to the latter....but it doesnt Manual didnt do it either....maybe it really IS patching...but doesnt know it. LOL. ----------------------------------- BUT it sounds like your thing MIGHT be a bandwidth...server overload...internet problem...maybe.

I was hoping for this patch to address some of the performance issues throughout the game but alas, it didnt do it for me. I started a new game, but didnt notice any improvement. Also, it still inaccurately detects my ATI card.....it get the 9600XT part right, but not the amout of vid ram. Well I guess Ill just shelf it and hope and wait for a more comprehensive patch.

Hmm. I wish I could be more help. It sounds like a problem with your video....or more specifically, the ingame movies. After defeating the sith that boarded, you should cut to a movie to see the EH leaving. Sounds like the game be locking up and looping at this point. EDIT> post your specs

BAD: -The Ending (or rather lackthereof). Need i say more? -The general bugs mentioned to many times in these forums to recount. -Force crush was way to powerful. On normal difficulty, I went thru the rest of the game from the point you get force crush thru the end WITHOUT even having ANY weapon eqquiped. This includes fighting Sion and Kreia. I was a sentinel/Sith lord. I suppose it did put some meaning in the power of the DS and being a sith lord...but comon way to easy. GOOD: -The Plot with the excpetion of the end -The added functionality of the HUD and interface. This includes the weapons switching option in particular. Very handy. Also the datapads being displayed when you get them as opposed to having to sort thru your inventory to find the right one and read it. ETC ETC

Spoiler Warning!!: Well I certainly agree about the ending being an anti-climax. I have beaten the game on both the LS and DS and both endings I just sat there staring at the credits thinking, "uhhh what the heck just happened?" At least on the LS you get to question Kreia about the future and get some closure on what you accomplished. But the DS (at least my playthrough) left me completly hanging as to my compainions, the galaxy...and even myself...dont even know if i survived.

I was just curious. Personally, I like the plot of KOTOR 1 better, but I like many things better about KOTOR 2...like the new force powers. But, this poll is JUST ABOUT PLOT. So no basing your decsion on gameplay effects, HUD, characters, etc.
