Here's the article with the alien STD reference. Googling for "alien STD" alone sure produces some exciting results.
-
"He" isn't non-gender specific when it's used to refer to a certain person. Meh.
-
Hey, thanks a lot. That's cool. ...and I'm just going to go somewhere and SCREAM, because apparently the name "Aurora," with a female avatar, isn't girly enough to get me actually recognized as female. I'm changing my nick to SparkleKittyPrincess. Sweet lord. atleastheinformationaboutthecutendingsisgettingoutaaaaargh

It looks like the article is just about the cut content, not about the mod. And, uh, okay, I guess that it's out now that I hate men. Gee golly. Uh, sure, whatever works for you.
-
Wow, that's pretty cool - although I 1) would like to point out that someone by the name of thedigitalsin originally posted stuff on the boards about some of the cut sound files and 2) wish I had a more unique e-name. Thanks, Dowie. Anyone happen to have a scan of the mini-article, for, ah, informational purposes?

A fair amount of the cut dialogues and some of the cut sounds are listed here.

Should Revan Have An "Offical" Gender?
Aurora replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, because unlike a fair amount of the posters here, I am *not* that childish. In addition, I do not believe that by making your games appeal to, apparently, 60% of the market, you automatically make the game repulsive to 40% of the market. -
Ah, well, I'm in love with T3, too. Plenty of love to go around, especially since neither the fish nor T3 are capable of bearing my children (but any of my theoretical fanboys, being of a particularly special sort, would have to be).

I am in love with this fish.

Should Revan Have An "Offical" Gender?
Aurora replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm, gee golly, all this talk about how games won't market towards women and thus women don't buy games and thus games can't ever be marketed towards women has sure persuaded me. Since our TSL Restoration Project is *not* going to be sold on the market, and since half of the group working on the project is female, I've decided that we're not going to add in any extra or missing ending options for male characters. It's our time, it's our effort, and why on earth would we want to put forth either into something that half of us won't even probably play? On the plus side, you have sports games. Here's a ball... perhaps you'd like to bounce it. -
TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Aurora replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The core story will be the same, yeah. The ending section will be pretty different. SPOILERS: Given that this is all unofficial, it's highly doubtful that it'll have any sort of effect on K3. In fact, I believe that in the long run (as in, after the game is complete) the extra endings ultimately be the same as the regular endings. Yes, your character may choose the path that leads to him or her happily walking off with Atton - but as far as the future/K3 is concerned, and as far as I can imagine, s/he's not going to stick with Atton & the others. They really will have to go at it alone, or something horrible will happen to their companions on the Outer Rim: whatever justification was given for abandoning your companions in regular-K2 will happen. But as far as the mod goes, you may get a bittersweet or even happy ending at the time, and at least you'll have the chance to *try* to change your destiny. -

I'd prefer it if we kept LA and Obsidian bashing out of this thread, please. -
Get it from here, free of other mods.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Aurora replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
We are *not* currently working on the Droid Planet. The material that exists for it is basically an outline. Storylining, scripting, writing dialogue & recording sounds for an entire planet, as well as working it into the plot of the rest of the game is beyond the scope of the project at this point. If nobody's fixed it up by the time we finish the project, though, we certainly might look into it. It does have great potential. We're fixing some cutscenes so they actually play or are more likely to play, but we're not going to be fixing in-game bugs unless they're important for the mod. -
No, LSers get the same underwear as neutralers. I have no clue why DSers get special underwear - some kind of weird in-joke between the K1 developers?
-
She needs to be wearing any clothes (only called clothes) or no clothes so that she's in her underwear, not any specific set of clothes. She also needs to have a melee weapon equipped.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Aurora replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
We're going to release most all of it together - the music will likely be separate, however. Originally I considered making a few separate releases: however, a lot of the areas are linked and it'd just end up kinda messy. Do you mean the "party members team up to fight Traya, get horribly beaten" part? If so, then yes. If we finish up before the patch is released, we'll go ahead and release anyway: but I'm really hoping that the patch comes out soon. -

Oh, just in general, I'd like to mention that it's fine to mention the site and project elsewhere: but pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaase do not link to it from any high-traffic sites. Our bandwidth is not quite yet prepared for slashdotting. edit: And ideally, we'd have the project out after the patch so that we don't have any conflicts between the mod and the patch. -
TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Aurora replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
We're not able to post even a rough estimate yet - which isn't to say that this is going to take years and years, just that we're not sure of how long it'll all take yet and don't want to make false claims. -
TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Aurora replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There will be at least one ending where Atton dies, certainly. His famous death scene will not appear for all characters, but for some. -
We'd like to announce that the TSL Restoration Project now has a shiny new website! If you're not familiar with the project, we've been working on restoring the cut content for about a month now. Among other things, we're extending the ending, restoring the droid factory, and tweaking and restoring other fun dialogues and cutscenes. Why? Because we enjoyed the game greatly and we'd like to see it in a more complete state. We think that it would benefit greatly from the return of many of the removed scenes and areas. This is not an officially-sponsored project. We currently know of no other efforts to restore this missing content. The vast majority of the material we will be using will be just as it was intended to be as far as we can tell from developer notes. However, some sections have been tweaked and edited in order to form a more cohesive storyline. Behold our shiny new forums!

Feminazis? I say Sion should have been female. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, because wanting equality is pretty much the same as hating people because of their race alone or maybe their sexual orientation too, and wanting to murder billions of people because of their race or sexual orientation or ethnicity, and your own overwhelming hatred and oh, *actually* murdering millions of people because of their race or sexual orientation or ethnicity or fun-club membership. But then there's no true equality and asking for it just makes guys feel bad, so yeah, I can see how that's pretty much the same thing, yo. Or, like, anyone who uses the word Nazi to describe non-Nazis is like, a Nazi and stuff, yo.

Things you wish a KOTOR2 character would say......
Aurora replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I may be the only one geeky enough to get that, but I love it. -
Oh good. Absurd trolling, feminists = Nazis, "true equality is whoring yourself out" and "not wanting characters with exaggerated bodies means you want fat ugly characters." Looks like this topic has covered everything on the subject of gender in games, time to close it, please.

Fell in love with Atton and Disciple
Aurora replied to Jedi Master Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
God yes. When he was all like "hahaha women are all evil, if you know what I mean," and "I killed her because I loved her," I had to change my panties. *Twice.* edit: But really, I adore Atton, I'm just able to overlook some of his REALLY GODDAMN CREEPY ISSUES because he's a computer game character and all. Yipes.
