  1. Oh, hehe. Well no biggie then. ^_^
  2. Denmark is above sea level, unlike Holland and New Orleans. Besides, nature doesn't hate us as much as it hates the US. Ooops, I said hate, am I going back to moderated status now? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whoops wrong country/reigon... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you mean Holland then? Why did you think of Denmark? ^_^

Being conquered by Rome and then by the Turks makes democracy kinda tricky. Besides, they're doing just fine now.
  4. I don't know, but I do know that every single comment you make seems to reek of Fox News propaganda... Also known as "right wing". Additionally, you're completely humorless.
  5. That you would be an O'reilly fan doesn't surprise me in the slighest taks.
  6. To be honest, England would go up in flames Eldar. I'm sure of it. :D As for myself, I think American Football would be much more enjoyable to watch if it didn't have all those breaks.
  7. On a related note, I really hate that Hannity dude, and I'm not even American.
  8. I've watched some NFL on TV a few times, and it's painful really, there's commercial breaks all the friggin' time. I don't know if this is standard in games besides those played in NFL, but I'm glad we don't have these breaks in football.

With people like Pat Robertson doing the Lords good work in the name of democracy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 290 million people shouldn't be judged by one individual. Your tactics do not amuse me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I'm not here to amuse you, but you gotta admit... only in America. You might take a peak at the reaction of my two northern brothers below, I'm not the only one finding your argument... far out, so to speak. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me too comrade, me too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  10. Volo you're a SCREAM! How do you come up with stuff like that!?

Oh, I thought you weren't in the army yet. Personally I never heard stuff like that in our army, but then again, we've never been ruled by fascism. Not before we make the Canadians speak Danish.

It's always nice when a monarchy grants democracy to its people without the need for bloodshed, ours was created the same way (this was in 1848) when the nation became a constitutional monarchy. This gave the king much luv, and the right to not lose his head. Still, to this day, the monarchy has huge public support. How is it that you work with fascists on a daily basis? Clearly my teachers was misinformed then, or just tried to make us behave while we were there. I did have a small encounter with one of these guards at the airport on the way home, though, I'd forgotten about a butter knife I had in my bag and the guard seemed somewhat puzzled about why I wanted to bring it onto the plane, and his english was so poor (combined with my rotten Spanish) that I had to communicate with my hands instead. No help from my Spanish teacher in this most awkward situation, noooooo sir. I must admit that he really was a nice fellar, though he could easily have been saying stuff about my mum without me noticing.

No flamy Volo? I see, well my interest was sparked when I read about the Spanish civil war back in HS, and I remember finding it odd for a dictator to be a monarchist (that's what I read anyway) as well, made him stand out from the others somewhat. But I never got to read about the years that followed. I've been to Spain many times, once with my HS class a few years ago to Barcelona, and the teachers kept reminding us not to piss off the Guardia Civil, trying to scare us by saying that this force was a remnant of the Franco regime, and there would be hell to pay.

How does Spain regard fascists today? I mean my knowledge of general Franco and his regime is rather limited, I don't know if he was a tyrant or not, is it a huge taboo like National Socialism is in Germany? I know you said you were only a little fascist, but I'm curious.
  18. And their fairy wands.
  19. I'm a royalist myself, so don't be shy to admit it. Getting fire from snipers or ambushed or blown up while on patrol is not unsual for gorilla warfare, is it? These tactics are not acts of terrorism in my opinion, but then again, my view would probably be different if I had been shot at myself. But alas, this is how it is with all things we've not experienced ourselves, yes? I'm not saying that a suicide bomber is not a victim, but whatever screwed up childhood he made have experienced, whichever nasty ideology he might be following, it simply doesn't justify blowing yourself up to nail as many as possible. Pardon me for my rather conservative stance on this one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> SpellMar says that, unless you are talking about espap

Surely you ought to take a peak at Danish peace-keeping mission records if you're planning on doing a nonbiased comparison. But even so, what would you expect of a nation with six times our population? I'd certainly expect an even higher punch.

I think there was just hatred towards France. Germany we understood the reason why they wanted to be non-aggressive because of their past. And Russia, not sure why, but no one was really too angry at them either. A little anger I'll admit, but not a lot. But France everyone hated. Probably has to do with the US liberating France in the World Wars and then they piss on and deface our cemeteries of dead US soldiers who fought for France. Unfortunetly, I still think most people in the US still do not like the French. Anyway, it was never a European thing, nor did anyone from the US blame the entire continent. Heck Poland, Britain, Spain, etc

Eldar Eldar Eldar, the reason I even mention pacifism is due to Volos absurd (as usual) claim that made Europe sound like what it was 60-100 years ago. It wasn't an attempt to glorify it.
  25. So are you also a devious patriot, and extremely loyal to the crown, then? I don't know about the claim, I'd say that some of the "insurgents" fall under the "one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter.", while others most certainly don't. In my book it depends on what they're doing, I don't see suicide bombers as "freedom fighters", but the arab fireing an RPG or an AK-47 or even using those devious roadside bombs at US and Coalition troops is not a "terrorist" either. But that is just my humble opinion.
