Most people tend to go with their hometown team, if they have one - or if they had one. I'm a Seahawks and Chargers fan because I've lived in their home cities, but I don't like the Panthers and Redskins, even though they're geographically closest at the moment. A few teams have a more widespread following, sort of like the Yankees or the Red Wings - I attribute it mostly to bandwaggoning. Everybody liked the 49ers when they were winning big, and the same goes for the Cowboys. The Patriots have been in vogue for the past couple of years, but I think support will drop off now that they're starting to suck. Plenty of people - myself included - root for teams that have players they like. I want Denver to win because I'd like to see Jake Plummer finally get some recognition. I like Atlanta because of Vick and Dunn. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So I see....I'm a supporter of my hometown soccer team Hajduk Split, although I'm hardly in any 'soccer' mood as my team really sucked lately so I haven't been to any soccer match in the past six months or so. Here on the mediterranean we're known to be very emotinal, but when it comes to soccer you can triple that.....you should of seen the sh*t that has been going on here in the past few years - the fans were so angry with the management of the club so there were couple of riots on and outside the stadium, clashes with police, I remember tearing, sneezing, coughing and even vomiting because of the tear gas all the time and getting all soaked by water cannons - those were the days ^_^ And last year my team was doing pretty bad so couple of fans sneeked into the stadium in the middle of the night and dug up 11 graves around the centre as a warning...and I can tell you that they played much better after that

Hey kumaq, or any other american football fan in the US, are you a supporter of your hometown football team - considering if you have one because not all cities or states have a representative in NFL (correct me if I'm wrong)....is there any pattern in the US who's supporting who or is it a totaly random thing, what's the deal?

There was a huge frenzy in my country about that issue, although the anti-dialling software took care of it , but huge amounts of money were 'stolen' by hackers...

Let's take this from the start - I stand by my statements that all rioters in France who did what they did were conducting actions of violence-primitivism and by those actions marked themselves as primitives. The fact is the majority of the rioters are immigrants/muslims, but not all muslim/immigrants are rioters - primitives as I called them, on the contrary many of the immigrants in France are against such ways because it only harms them rather then helps. I never said or meant that all muslims in France are primitives and if you misunderstood something from my statements, that were pretty harsh I admit, I'm sorry but you're taking this the wrong way. I know that almost everybody on this forum doesn't share my beliefs, in fact I know many of the people here don't like me and even hate me - but that really doesn't bother me as I'm only trying to state my opinion, not to rally some support here or any other bullsh*t. I am an anti-US, I don't hide that fact nor I ever did, you can call me many things but please don't call me a rasist because many can confirm on this forum that I stood up for the muslims when the talk of ME came up and I never said anything directly against them and their religion. Sure there are numbers of immigrants/muslims in France who have done acts of violence and primitivism, but that isn't explicitly a case of muslims as you can find examples of the same or worse primitivism in all other religions or ethnic groups through out the world.

To be honest I don't care very much what they'll think. As for the reasons of the countries the HRW listed, I think many of them didn't knew what the CIA was doing or just looked the other way, or agreed for reasons the rest of us will probably never know. So now you and people who think like you all of a sudden represent the voice of rationality and reason......sorry, didn't know you were John Locke of the modern age...talk about egoism and arrogance... ooooooooooooo my bad When you said: "That only shows they're primitives and should be dealt with 'primitive' means (brute force) as any negotiation with them is impossible" and "As for the rioters, they should be cut down effectively and immediately using riot police and national guard/army because they're nothing but savages, thugs and criminals" I thought you meant the rioting muslims and N.African teens. There I go, using reason again, my mistake. O, so the rioters arn't French people now? Ok, I think I got it know: French citizens = Rich white non-muslim ones "primitives" = Poor muslims and N.Africans <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh please spare us your pathetic attempts of sarcasm in an attempt to back your baseless accusations to show that I think the muslims and N.Africans are 'primitives', that the rioters are not french citizens or that only rich white non-muslims are. If you really think I mean that then I can only understand that you have a very 'primitive' ability of deduction - but then again I really think your accusation is mostly generated by the fact that I'm anti-US too much and nothing else - not ration or reason as it's my humble opinion it doesn't go in your favour as I only said that the rioters should be dealt with hard and swift no matter who they are as they all draw just one common thing and that is primitivism which just isn't justifiable. And you come to conclusion that I think all of french muslims/n.african are primitives <_< Sorry but I'm not a raisist and never have been as anyone who knows me better on this forum would say so I'm off to bed.....good night

I'll do that any time any place because the actions of your imperialistic goverment give me all the material in order to do so. Just the beating of teenagers...oops, I mean "primitives" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did not say for the police to go out there and beat explictely teenagers, or muslims, or immigrants - I just don't use that Texas-right wing bullsh*t 'logic' or method, but target the individuals(no matter the age, nationality, religion......) who are harming France and the french people through their primitive action. Any solution for a proper way to deal with this seems to be futile, because of that the french authorities are forced to use methodes seen as 'brute force' - agressive riot police, strict jail sentences, impossed curfews in the most hazardous regions hit by the riots and I can say that the french authorities are doing a great job

Tourney time is coming. We'll see We will see still, soccer is prolly like the 6th most popular pro sport (not counting nascar and such) in the US. Say what you will, but we're ranked 7th IN OUR SPARE TIME. You would give up a pinky to be ranked that high <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes kumaq your country is ranked better then mine by fifa ranks....but let me tell you that few people rank the strength and quality of a team by fifa ranks as statistics don't always relieve everything, results from the World Cup and other tough international competitions and matches show the real quality of a national team. Like Lucius said, my country can trash yours any time in soccer, but the WC is coming around next year so we'll see how things come out

I'll be waiting for your post where you pick apart these country individually for allowing this to occur <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't pick them out just that, HRW did in their report which started this issue about torture...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When those 'civilians' burn not just cars, but schools, ambulance clinics and various goverment buildings, put in danger the lives of innocent people, they deserve to be etiher deported (if they're immigrants), imprisoned and if that doesn't stop them, then bring out 'the last resort'(army) on the streets and deal with the internal threat that is endangering lives of the French people and their property - by that I mean cut down effectively and immediately I never said that or meant that - so don't put words in my mouth. Nobody deserves torture - not the people your goverment is torturing and certainly not the rioters in France. No I didn't.

...you do realize that Leadtek is one of nVidia's premier partners and that the Leadtek versions of the 6800 series and the 6600GT were rated by many reviewers (Anandtech, Tom's, ExtremeOverclockers, etc...) as the best overall choice in nVidia GPUs???... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...don't know about the 6800 series and Leadtek, but I had another nvidia Leadtek GPU and it was the biggest piece of sh*t I ever put in my PC....

Go with Novatech Steve, in my opinion they're better then Assus, Gainward and Leadtek put together when it comes to nvidia graphic cards

Actually, you can. That's the military. However, I think Hades' argument is a little crazy. On the other hand, I don't see why clarifying our stance on the issue of torture is such a bad idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well Bush's statement is quite clear - We Do Not Tortue (on US soil) and CIA's 'black sites' that were set up after 9/11 in Poland, Romania, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Thailand.....God knows where else, are probably nothing but Americas centers for distributing candy for children as a wide spread strategy of 'win the hearts and minds'. As soon as this dust, started by the HRW, settles down - the CIA and the SOC will continue with their 'distribution of candy' - that's for sure......

Purple isn't Dark side at all. Mace Windu had a purple lightsaber and I believe in the New Jedi order Jaina Solo also has a purple one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Conclusion - it can be used by both
