  1. WarnerMedia greenlights Dune TV series with director Denis Villeneuve "The new show will focus on the Bene Gesserit and operate alongside Villeneuve’s 2020 film."
  2. Even though I didn't enjoy D:OS 2 as much as the first one, I trust Larian enough with this. This is a different game (even if it turns out different from BG too) and I expect different writing.
  3. You should definitely NOT visit the freefolk subreddit.
  4. What are the Paladin and Priest subclasses? Please keep us informed about the progress. :)
  5. Just finished Good Omens. Very good, which is not a surprise if you consider the cast.
  6. I was right before the end of the game and I got the book, so you shouldn't have to load a save from your first time leaving Neketaka. Try to spend some time in the city, visiting another district, leaving by foot, coming back and leaving with your ship. It shouldn't make a difference, but I did those things before leaving by boat, so who knows right?
  7. Yes, it seems they will start with (part of) the New Spring novella. One scene of that book would be particularly good in explaining Moirane's motivations and what is about to happen in the world. Not to mention showing a very interesting moment of a certain war. They should start with Book 1's prologue anyway, it is fantastic. I can actually accept most changes, as long as they don't remove main characters or merge them. The LotR adaptation should be pretty easy to do right. They have $ 500 million and the movies as an example of how it should look. But they will have to create the story from nothing. Or did Tolkien leave anything of sufficient size about Numenor? I agree with you, I doubt any of them will surpass GoT 1-4.
  8. Brandon Sanderson on Changes in the Wheel of Time TV Show: “Majority of These Decisions Are Excellent Choices”. Too soon to make any judgements, but I agree with the comment "majority scares me."
  9. Good luck on your new path! You will be missed.
  10. I still had to finish the game again with my character that fought the megabosses, so Woedica had a lot of gossip to catch up to. I particularly liked her comments about the crown and her reaction when I mentioned Thaos. She also said that I was behaving in a way she would never accept in one of her inquisitors. I might have to replay the conversation to see what she was talking about, so that I can avoid it when I play as a Steel Garrote. She reminds me of an old work colleague, that would always say thing wouldn't work, even when everything was doing all right. lol
  11. So they even admitted to it and later changed their mind. I wonder what will be the "inspiration" of S3. Maybe Buck Rogers? Asha could easily be included in the fight with Euron (instead of Jaime), making it much more satisfactory.
  12. This is the only good in this disaster: watching people getting mad and cursing D&D.
  13. People should stop complaining, it was foreshadowed! Edit: also, subverted expectations!
  14. The way it was going, no behavior from any character would surprise me if there was another episode. There are plenty of examples I could mention of the "to be honest, I never really cared about..." meme, but it was done so many times that even the freefolk subreddit lost patience with it.
  15. As little an indication as it is, this makes me more optimistic about PoE3. And I'll have to reload my clever/shady character to have some fun mocking the gods again.
  16. Yes, basically it makes no sense because Dany's supporters should never have accepted that. There is no purpose for the Night's Watch anymore, the Wall is on the other side of an independent country and there is no way to check if Jon will stay there. But the real problem is that they didn't kill Jon immediately. Notice that he must have confessed his crime because Drogon left with all the evidence. lol
  17. I forgot about that one. It was good. Game of Thrones' Brian Cogman joins Amazon's Lord of the Rings.
  18. Maybe they didn't reveal anything about the Night King because they will do it in the prequel. Stupid idea if it is the case. Even worse if it is not. Edit: sending Jon to the wall is the same as sentencing someone to prison by giving them a one way ticket to Australia. lol
  19. Yes, The Wire and Breaking Bad are good examples. I also liked the ending of The Americans. Nothing extraordinary, but I liked it. It's definitely a very good show, even with the poorly executed S8. But it feels really bad because it could have been avoided easily. Apparently HBO offered more episodes and D&D didn't want them. Lots of stupid things could have been easily avoided too, for example:
  20. My thoughts exactly. Episode 3 and the dismissing of such an important aspect of the story (the most important in fact) was bad enough, but I'm happy I avoided the rest of the disappointment. Better to read the spoilers than to watch them unfold in the last episodes.
