The US Election 2016, Part VIII
No you right, your assessment is correct. WOD wont vote for Clinton....what will WOD do? Not vote in this case? This election is not a binary choice... it never was. Just because the candidate you are voting for is unlikely to win does not mean a vote for them is wasted. For the Libertarians and the Green there is something to be won besides the White House. And as Hurlshot said, you won't feel dirty after voting 3rd Party this year. And, just because you are voting does mean you HAVE to cast a vote for President. It's ok to leave that one blank of you want and vote on everyone and everything else on the ballot. My sample ballot this year is three pages long with 11 elected office races, three judge retentions, and seven "ballot resolutions" to be voted on. A voter is not required to cast a vote on every one of them.

I'm with you. I remember when I was impressed with how good Baldur's Gate looked. Because in those days it did.

I was playing Stellaris. I'm totally off Master of Orion CTS after finding that game. Saying that game compares to Stellaris as Checkers compares to Chess does a disservice to Checkers. But my Stellaris game after 287 years of warding off the ambitions of two much larger empires and losing entire fleets fighting the Unbidden (which it seems I'm the only one doing that) is now unwinnable. The problem is I don't want to start a new game before the Leviathans DLC and the big free content patch comes out on Thursday because I'll just have to start over again. And I can't go back to MOO4. I won't. I'll have to find something else to do until then.

Don't get excited Bruce. This does not mean he'll vote for Clinton.

That's for sure. It it were otherwise we'd have better candidates.

You are correct Zor. Everything released only confirms what everyone already "knew" was going on. Hillary Clinton and her entire staff are irredeemably corrupt and dishonest. Still, there is a difference between "knowing" your wife is cheating on you and seeing the 8x10 glossy the PI took. And as I said before none of it makes Trump a better candidate than he already was.

The WSJ has a great piece on the press ignoring the content on the wiki-leaks releases: http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-press-buries-hillary-clintons-sins-1476401308 It's a funny thing about the skeletons in the closet. When they get let out the Democrats and the media (essentially the same thing I know) want us to be mad at who opened the closet door. I want to know why there were so many f-----g skeletons in that closet!

ISIS Final Days : Mosul and Raqqa attack imminent
There is nothing more f----d up than having to shed blood over the same ground more than once. In this case it's been several times. If they are ad demoralized as the papers say it should be a short fight. They will be hit from two directions by the Iraqi army & Kurd militias. Let's hope they don't fight each other after.

NHL 2016-2017 The Return of the Panthers!
I've got the Panthers pre-game show on my XM radio blasting over my outside speakers. I just made a turkey sandwich and a big glass of unsweetened iced tea with lots of lemon. I'm going to sit on my front porch and listen to the game. GO PANTHERS

The US Election 2016, Part VIII
Roger Cohen of the NY Times writes how a Trump Presidency heralds the dawn of a dictatorship: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/15/opinion/how-dictatorships-are-born.html?ref=opinion&_r=1 If so perhaps it will make the typically freedom-averse Democrats re-think their stance on private ownership of firearms. After all, the government seizing all means of resistance and imposing it's will on the people through subjugation and a monopoly of force is only fun when it's YOUR team doing it.

A dog at a hockey game is very unusual. A dog at a hockey game in a $200 seat even more so.

The cats lost Huberdueau in the win against the Devils. That sucks. That sucks a lot. They spent a lot on 2nd tier free agents this off season. They definitely added experience to the young core of the team. So far it seems to have jelled.

Isn't it illegal to sell those? Edit: apparently only if you're serving in the military. Guess you learn something new every day. Didn't think it was, seen videos of people reviewing them and so on. GD, stock other militaries' MREs :D The only other one I've had was the one the ROK Marines use.... it's sooooo much worse! They will trade a LOT for an American MRE. I traded two for a guys dress uniform buckle. It's cool, it has the ROK Marine Corps emblem on it.

No its fine? What aspect of the US foreign policy do you question He's not questioning US foreign policy he's say (correctly) that the public is not in on every detail of the big picture so no one outside the NSA, CIA, & State Dept actually knows what;s going on. Even if the news story is true, if I read someone one chapter from The Count of Monte Cristo they would not be able to tell me what the story is all about.- The US Election 2016, Part VIII
