I watched “night teeth“ on Netflix last night. It was pretty good. Or at least those two vampire girls were pretty freaking hot together. definitely worth two hours of your time. After all of his acting work I imagine Alfie Allen is going to have a negative association with knives.

What You've Done Today - But you… have elected… the way of… pain!

Sitting at my kitchen table drinking coffee. Going to be very, very, busy for the next few days. I rented a new storage unit in Dyersburg. Larger, air-conditioned place. More expensive and with better security. I rented a truck from them for two days and I’m going to move all the crap in the one in Covington up there. That’s the plan for today. Tomorrow is really going to suck though. I’m going to have to start packing up things in my house and moving them to the storage unit. The gun safe is the thing I dread the most. It weighs 400 pounds empty. -

Cancer sucks. Sorry about your friend Majestic -
Blanks are regular ammunition that have propellant but no projectile. For a semi automatic firearm to use them you have to stopper the barrel. In the military we had a red box with a screw that you actually screw into the end of the barrel that traps most of the gas from the propellant burn so it will work the action of the rifle and chamber the next round. I believe in this case Baldwin was firing a handgun so the barrel of the handgun would have to be blocked inside in such a way that it wasn’t visible. Usually that means “leading “ the barrel. Blocking it permanently with lead or silver or some other malleable metal. Once you do that the gun can never be used for regular ammunition again. I was reading the description of the movie and it sounds like it’s an old West movie. Which means the prop would’ve been a revolver. Since it’s not semi automatic there is no need to block the barrel. So that really comes down to inventory and asset control. How did live ammunition get on the set? as accidents go this is about as tragic as it gets. Alec Baldwin is a pretty substandard human being by most of my criteria. He treats his children and the people around him like garbage and has a reputation for just being an all-around ****. That said I’m certainly sympathetic for how he’s feeling right now. This is not his fault obviously but it would still be a very hard thing to deal with knowing that you were the one holding the pistol at the time.

You’re right. I forgot about that one.

Sheriff's office: Alec Baldwin discharged prop gun that killed crew member, wounded director WTH? Movie prop guns are actual functional firearms? I didn't know that! That strikes me as being not only stupid but extremely dangerous. As this story indicates.

I hear you. That WAS a very generous notice. But IIRC some of your tenants have been with you for a while. I'm not expecting big jumps in interest rates. More likely a steady but slow increase. The Biden Admin will lean on the FOMC for that. They are independent but not above influence. As for long term, the treasury notes will do what they are going to do. There is no predicting that. Kiplinger's had an analysis last month that said the Fed was going tp taper purchases of T and mortgage securities. That mean "probably" no big jumps in rates. My lot in Dyersburg closes in two weeks. The one in Brownsville hasn't gotten even a sniff. But I have decided to list my house and see what happens. That as not an easy decision to come to. But like you said (and I agree) if the bottom drops out it will be a number of years before it turns around.

I’ll give it a look. I have another recommendation of yours on my Kindle. It’s going to be the next one I read. “A hero of two worlds“. -

LOL no. Two glasses of champagne each in the context of the evening it’s not what I would call drinking. That’s actually the first alcohol I’ve had in… I guess a year. May be a bit longer I don’t remember exactly when I stopped. i’m in pretty good shape. Not just for my age but for any age. I’m 6 foot four and I weigh 215 pounds. Just a bit under 2 m tall and 98 kg give or take. So when I went to the doctor last year I found out I was pre-diabetic. Well I eat very little in the way of carbohydrates. My biggest sugar intake was whiskey. And that made me realize I was drinking quite a bit of it. It’s not healthy. It was making me unhealthy. Plus my self-control was not all that could be desired. So I just cut it out. My A-1 C is back to normal and I’ve lost 20 pounds. -

That is pretty smart. The grocery store and the Walmart here you can actually order everything you want and they will have it ready for you. So the delivery service is only making a delivery they’re not doing the shopping for me. That’s still a service I deeply appreciate. -

Small price to pay to minimize your contact with the other humans! There’s only one human on this big blue ball I want close contact with. And she’s much better looking than what I see in the Covington Kroger! -

I don’t think serfs were tipped half so well! I let the Kroger guy know exactly how much I appreciate his efforts. -
I’ve been watching interest rates in the United States very closely. Over the last six months they are starting to trend upwards. Interbank rates are of course leading the way. I know this is something the Biden administration does not want to happen because it will have a negative short term impact with the election next year. But with inflation already in double digits and creeping higher this had to happen. Plus I will admit it would ease my mind greatly if one House of Congress changes hands. I don’t care which one. as a man with real estate to sell however this is making me very nervous. The difference between selling with mortgage rates below 3% and over 3% is substantial. I have a very important decision to make and I’m going to have to make it sooner than I would like.

Something kind of funny happened last night. I get a call from my brother. I’ve told you guys a little about him he and I are not real close and don’t speak very often. In fact I talk to my niece and nephew more than I do him and my sister in law. Anyway he is shopping on gunbroker.com. And I told you guys I listed a couple of my firearms on there for sale. He recognized one and called me about it. He asked if it was mine. I told him yes. He said why didn’t I call him because he’s always liked that one. I said I did. Two weeks ago! Left you a voicemail and you never called me back. Then I laughed and I said you never call me back! We had a chuckle about that and end up talking for over an hour. It was good to catch up with him. He’s a good guy he just has a lot of demands on his time. Since our parents passed away we’ve gotten out of touch. he invited me to come down for Christmas. I hated to decline but I don’t know if I’m going to have plans or not. I’m kind of assuming that I will. But I told him definitely maybe. I asked him if he wanted the rifle and he said yes. I told him he could have it. I wasn’t taking his money. -
I'd call them the least objectionable. But you aren't far off.

Watching the NLCS and pulling FOR the Braves. That is such a weird thing for me to do. But... it's the Dodgers on the other side.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I'm pretty sure that was Madison. In other news Trump once again showed how classless he is in trashing Colin Powell right after he passed. Not that Powell should be exempt from criticism but c'mon man. We haven't even had the funeral yet. De mortuis nihil nisi bonum

I just ordered this. Gail said it helped her a lot. That piqued my curiosity. This is the first non-kindle book I've bought in years -
Watching the Astros vs Red Sox now. Valdez has a no hitter going through 5!
