It's been out for six months now. The reviews are pretty good. And they seems to be selling well since there is a 60 day delay in shipping. But, what puts me off isn't the price. It what it can't do. Namely convert my hand written documents to print. If it could do that I'd be all in even at that price point.

Don't fall for that one Gritino. Bruce never pays you back!

Alan Bean passed away: https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory/astronaut-moonwalker-alan-bean-dies-86-55461427 There are just four people alive today with first hand knowledge of what the surface of the moon is actually like. And sadly small chance they will be able to discuss it with someone new in their lifetimes.

OK, I might swear at Siri but at least she never did this to me: http://indianexpress.com/article/technology/social/amazon-alexa-spying-family-private-conversation-then-sent-it-to-someone-else-5190466/ Watch what you say around Alexa. She isn't your friend!

Not exactly electronic but I love archery and this is pretty innovative. I'm not sure about the concept of "take-down" arrows though. The inserts in the middle would probably screw up the balance and air resistance profile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BSNaqGhLqg&feature=youtu.be

Just don't think about it. No one of is is immortal and you can't stop whats coming. Just live your life and be happy. Don't deprive yourself of the things you like. If you want a Coke then have one. Sure it's not healthy so don't have two. You want a drink of good booze have one, or two but not three. If you have three have none tomorrow. That kind of thing. Cook really good meals, but not really big meals. Those angry people out there who deny themselves enjoyment as if it were some virtue and insist we do the same will end up in the same 6x6 we all will. Like Samuel Butler once wrote "Let us eat and drink neither forgetting death unduly nor remembering it. The Lord hath mercy on whom he will have mercy, and the less we think about it the better.”

Thanks! The Georgia State League and Georgia-Alabama League are on my "to do" list.

Once we finish this (if we ever do) we're going to take a swing at the NPB in Japan & LMB in Mexico. The former should be easy. It only goes back to the '40's. The latter... going to be a lot of WAGs.

Not ambitious are you? I think there's like 42 defunct 'major league' baseball teams from 1880-1896, including minor and independent ...yikes! Do you have a source for logos, caps and uniforms? This site has been a big help: http://www.logoserver.com/Baseball.html The folks over at Chris Creamer's site www.sportslogos.net have gathered quite a few. This is another great source: http://funwhileitlasted.net/ Plus OOTP has been around for almost 20 years now so finding major league teams already done is no biggie. It's just trying to line up dates and format the images for the game as it is today. Negro leagues are a little harder. The older ones at least. The famous teams like the KC Monarchs, Pittsburgh Crawfords, NY Black Yankees are easy. Tons of pics because lots of famous players were on those clubs. The Ocean Springs Keys were a much bigger challenge. I found a roster from 1921 and started searching for pics of the players and I found one: His name was Joe Wallace and all I know about him is he played INF for the Keys and he hit .302 in 1921. But I did get an idea what their uniforms looked like. There is something quite cool about digging up history like that though. Minor leagues are even harder pre-1950. In 1948 there were over 200 professional minor league teams on 42 circuits in the US. Most were unaffiliated. I've come to realize few even HAD logos and many didn't even have "official" uniforms. That kind of marketing didn't exist in the minors until the '60's. So in those cases you just make something up or take a WAG. Some teams are easy. The Buffalo Bisons, Rochester Red Wings, Syracuse Chiefs, and Chattanooga Lookouts have all been around since the '30's so there is plenty to find. They haven't been around every season since the '30's but most of them they fielded a team. But the Charleston Chasox only played one season: 1959. Other than a few box scores a short article in Baseball Reference this is the only image I ever found: It's similar to the White Sox logo from the early 50's so I used that and changed the colors.

You know, come to think of it I don't recall a single military muster, formation, assembly, or ceremony my entire time in where the National Anthem was played. I wonder how this all got started in the first place, playing before sporting events? Objectively is just seems like an odd thing to do. Yeah it's kind of a tradition in baseball (going back to 1916 IIRC) but I can remember in my lifetime they didn't do it at football games. In the military there is a colors ceremony every day at dawn and sunset where the flag is raised. There is a song that plays over the loudspeakers and if you are close enough and in uniform it's customary to stop and salute. It takes like 10-15 seconds. It's just odd that it's supposed to honor the military and the military hardly ever plays it. Edit: Correction, there was one. Boot Camp graduation. That is a real Dog and Pony show so they did play it then. -
Minor league baseball has had some weird team names over the years. That one doesn't even make the top 10!

I'm working on a mod for OOTP Baseball with a few others. The game includes every major, minor, independent, and negro league team from 1880 to modern day. But they only have logos, caps and uniforms for the 2018 season. So we are making logos, caps, and uniforms for every team, every season in the game from 1880 to 2017. Talk about biting off more than you can chew. But spending a lot of time on google trying to find pics and old newspaper articles on what these things actually looked like has been interesting to say the least. Check out this picture I found of the Bend Rainbows. Bottom row, 2nd player from the right. That's Kurt Russel!

Don't worry until you're 40. Statistically speaking you have fewer days before you than behind you at 40.

Considering my marriage track record I'm sure this will f--k up for me too: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/6366262/marry-robots-sophia-harmony-hanson-2045/ Of course in 2045 I'll be 74 and with my drinking habits I expect it will be a hard 74. A wife, android or otherwise wouldn't be much use to me anyway. -
Don't blame me. I voted for Johnson.

Jeez... this anthem thing is like the fly at the dinner table that just won't go away. They don't want to stand? Fine. NFL makes them stand? Fine. People boycott the NFL for one reason or another? Fine. This isn't even 0.00001% important enough to deserve the kerfuffle it has caused. It's ok not to stand. It's ok to be mad, or not. It's ok for the NFL to make them stand. IT'S ALL OK!!! GET IT? No one's first amendment rights are being violated. Read the goddamned amendment before you quote it! If the US Government ran the league THEN you have something to complain about. Of course if they did there would only be two teams. Each team would have 2500 players most of whom have never played football before and don't even know how. The two teams would play a 30 minute game ever two years and have and annual budget of $60B and $400B in expenses.

For Katphood, Lady Crimson, Tale, and anyone else in the thrall of one of these things -
Yep. It' when the government begins to give them power over people who are not members that they become monsters. Of course, who is really to blame? The Unions who supported the politicians that empowered them or the politicians that took the support and created the monster? Don't know. But I DO know we CAN take the politicians power away. And God knows we need to.

That sounds very pro-union from you. They do have good leverage in states where unions aren't considered a dirty word. California gets bashed over the power of the CEA pretty regularly by Republicans. I've got nothing against Unions. I do have a problem with compulsory membership in a Union. All associations should be voluntary. Of course, Unions can't FORCE you to join and pay them dues. But guess who can.... that's right, your old friend the government. Or the company your work for sometimes. But you can tell them to f--k off and go work somewhere else. The NLRA allows the government to create "Exclusive representation” (more accurately, monopoly bargaining) privileges for Unions. Which means they are empowered to negotiate for you whether you want the to or not. And as your government is so fond of saying you can go f--k yourself if you don't like it. That is what I have a problem with. I am 100% in the Right To Work camp. Unions can do good for people who join them. But that stops when the government puts a gun to your head and says "join or else"

Not since Obama left office. Gun sales are in the tank. That man could flat out sell guns.
