  1. Again, wait til you watch EP3. EVERYONE'S view of Anakin would change.
  2. I was told that it'll take a while for the questions to be answered. Since the questions were so broad, I'm believing that multiple people is answering these questions rather then just one or two. I give LucasArts a call tomorrow to see what the update is. It shouldn't take this long to answer those questions. Unless they forgot, which is why I need to call them. I'm just going to have to stay on their asses. Oh and last night I was again rollin.
  3. I say Anakin would win. Just wait til you all see EP3: Revenge of the Sith....
  4. I vote Darth Revan. I believe Vader gets too much glory just cause he is Vader. Maybe EP3 will change all of that though....
  5. I like the LS better male or female. It just makes the game a bit more darker. Don't ask me how it just does to me....
  6. Well you have to understand that Fable has been in production since before the Xbox, then it was known as Project Ego. People have been knowing about this game since before the Xbox. KOTOR 2 is just something recent. Hell before the Xbox KOTOR wasn't even known.
  7. I talked to Alexis Mervin from LA on the phone and she said that it'll take a week for the questions to get turned over to the team. Why? I don't know but it shouldn't take that long. Anyways, expect the interview to be up on PMC sometime late this month, maybe even later. I'll give you all the link once its up.
  8. For those who submitted questions for the Playmoreconsoles.com interview, just to let you know that I sent them out earlier today. 20 questions in total. Just to let you all know (Those who submitted questions) thanks for your time and effort. Some questions were really good, hell some people had like 3-5 questions that made the final cut of 20 which is great. Oh and about that TSL release date confirmed thread I created. I'm sorry that I was late. I was pretty busy since Thursday of last week. Why do you think it took me so long to send those questions out. Also I had a Cross Country race (I run for KU home of the Jayhawks!!!!) plus I was watching the game as we killed Toledo 14 to 63 I believe. Even after that I was busy with parties and getting hung over on two X-Pills. Sunday I was still rolling (Term you use if you are on X) and even today I'm still feeling a bit wozzy. But yeah I had no idea that the news has already been published. I just happened to log onto TFN today and see the news. I thought it was new so I posted it here. Jeez people calm down, you act like I shot your parents or something just get a life . If what I did was so bad and wrong, well take me to court and sue the hell out of me then. B) But anyways, those questions were sent out today and the interview should be posted on PMC sometime next week. I'll give you all the heads up.
  9. Guys, thanks for supporting this interview. We at PMC has 3 interviews with Obsidian regarding TSL. One we have already done, the 2nd is in progress now, and the 3rd will be shortly after the release of TSL. I have made the decision that this interview will be 100% fanbased. Meaning that all 20 questions will come from you guys instead of just 10 from you and 10 from me. Going through the submitted questions I picked a total of 11 questions that I want to be in the interview along with the name of the person who submitted them. There were MANY people who had more then one question picked. So I'm letting you all pick the last 9. So even if you submitted a question, you can still add more. I was supposed to send these in last Friday but I got caught up with college work and stuff. Hell I'm typing this from a PC in my English Composition II class. I'm supposed to be finding info on my research topic but I'm taking time out to post this before I forget. So yeah, you all have until Sunday to finish off these last 9 questions. Post as many as you want, but only 9 will be chosen.
  10. Nice questions so far. Keep them up!
  11. Hey guys. PMC has another scheduled interview with Obsidian/LucasArts regarding The Sith Lords. Fortunatly enough the staff over at PMC really doesn't have any logical questions to ask for our 2nd interview with Obsidian about TSL. So I guess that I'm going to have to come up with all 20 questions. I could do that if I wanted to but I decided that I'll let you all come up with 10 of those 20 questions. I guess you people knows the rules. Just post as many questions as you want about TSL and out of all the entries I'll pull out the best 10 that I believe is reasonable enough to be placed into the interview. I could do this for the PMC forums but the people over there really hasn't followed TSL much and most of their questions would be those simple ones that we already know of like "Is Revan in this game?" or "How many planets are there?". You know, **** like that. So it would be best fitting if the official forums had a crack at this. When the interview is posted up, and if a question that you submitted is in the interview, instead of having PMC or Tyrell as the person asking the question, it would have your forum name (The one you use here) as the person who asked the question. For the other 10 it would be my name though. Again I'm taking the 10 best questions and you can submit as many as you want. It is possible that one person here could have like 5 of his/her questions picked for the Q&A. If they are good enough, I'll use them. Well that is it, if you are interested then go ahead and start submitting. The deadline for questions is Friday cause that is the day I send them out. Good Luck!!!
  12. I was at one thread about what planets you are wanting to see the most. Then I ran across a reply from Craftsman saying "I bet theres the option of re destroying the world.". He said that in regards of what a previous reply said about Dantooine. But that got me to thinking, what are going to be some of the evil things we'll be able to do in TSL? Didn't the devs say that they are trying to make the DS options more sinister rather then thuggish or bullyish? In KOTOR I did some pretty evil things but I didn't have that....sense of power. Like Darth Sidious or Darth Vader. Being Revan that added more cause I knew how evil my background was. But as for the evil things we can do in TSL, do you really think they'll be things like destroying a planet? Even besides that, how far do you think Obsidian is going to let us go in terms of DS evil actions. Cause remember they did say that it won't be as thuggish like letting someone die cause you didn't give them a cure or making a whole two groups of family kill themselves cause of....instigating. Hell would there be a part in the game where you can kill one of your party members cause they didn't capitolize on a ceratin task? Vader style. "You have failed me for the last time...." What are your thoughts?
  13. The story is whats going to seperate this from KOTOR, so I voted for story.
  14. I guess the point that JediMafia is trying to make is....is that he isn't what you call a suck-up. Not saying that everyone else here is, just saying that he is going to speak whats on his mind. Even though this is the Official TSL forum and the devs post here a lot, he isn't just going to tell them what they want to here. He isn't going to pamper them and say their game is all good and great and this and that. If he isn't liking something about the game he is going to voice his opinion. And after all isn't that what message boards is about? Voicing your opinion? Yes his opinions may seem to always be harsh and negative but when its said and done, thats what he is thinking and he is letting it be known. And I don't fault him for that and neither should you all. Its nothing different though, that is how society works. The ones who voice their opinion tends to be the ones that are looked down upon. Take Charles Barkley as an example. He was one of the most open-minded NBA players of all time. He had something to say, he'll say it. He'll get fined a lot afterwards, but he spoke up. He wasn't what you call a "yes man", by just telling others what they wanna hear. I was no different when I first came here to the forums back in March. I would voice my opinion and I still do. It was that it was more gloryfied when I first got here. Anyone remember Shdy? He used to always mess with me cause I was different and stood out. When I first got here there was a bunch of praises going out to Obsidian and such. Everything was positive and then here comes me, the odd ball. There were things that I didn't like about TSL at the time and I letted it be known, and what other place to do it on.....the official forums where the devs can actually read it and take into notice rather then just some random Fansite out there like TFN where devs really don't goto. I know the devs here get tired of people like JediMafia and I. Cause we aren't yes-men and we don't always say things that they want to hear. We don't like something, we tell it. I know us two aren't the only ones like that here. There is MANY others of you out there that has things about TSL that you don't like....but these people (could be you) are too afraid to come out like JediMafia and I. These people are too afraid to be looked down on and be viewed as "complainers" and such. So they just keep to themselves. Which isn't bad. Again, yes JediMafia and I complain a lot, but is that a sin? Are we breaking a law? What can Obsidian do? Sue us? Ban us from the forums for taking consideration of one of our rights, the right to free speech? Then again you all have the right as well to bash JediMafia and ourselves for our views, cause it is your right to free speech is it not? I'm just letting you guys know why JediMafia and I are like that. When JediMafia made that comment about they should change this forum for fanboys only, he did have a point. What he is trying to say is "damn, I speak my mind and I get bashed for it. As if this place is only for those to speak 100% genuine of TSL. As if this place is a Utopia for TSL. As if you can only post here if you have something positive to say." At the end, that does sound like a place for fanboys. But now onto the subject. As for the storyline so far I don't have any problems with it. To tell you the truth I believe the story is the best thing about the game so far, everything else is just okay. But I do like the updated robes....but the story is still the best part. For me atleast.
  15. oh yes, on that we can agree <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just hope it stays like that. I don't want it to be November and we get an announcemt saying "TSL is being pushed back to March 2005 (For whatever reasons)" Even though something like that would only make the game better by polishing it up, it'll still hurt me cause by November I'll already have my hopes up....thinking its coming out next month.
  16. Not yet another rant! WHY ARE YOU HERE? All you do is complain about this awsome game! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well....he does have that right as a consumer.
  17. One thing that I am happy for is the push up from Feb 2005 to Dec 2004....if that is true.
  18. I must say that to a certain extent I am dissapointed with what we've gotten with TSL. Yes the core is still there like everyone says. You know, new force powers, characters, story, locations etc....That stuff there is enough alone to be good enough for the sequel. Cause KOTOR really wasn't that bad and like Darth Sirius said, if it ain't broke....don't fix it. Thats what Obsidian is doing which is okay to a certain factor. To a certain factor? What do I mean by that you say? Yes if it ain't broke don't fix it, but just ask yourself the question....could there have been more that Obsidian could have done with KOTOR 2? Like making the timespand of the game longer by making it be 80-100 hours to complete rather then 40-50 which is REALLY short for RPG standards. I wanna say the graphics should have been better, like Jade Empire but that would be unfair to say. Why? Cause Bioware gave Obsidian the graphics engine so in a way they had no other choice to make the graphics better, they could only enhance them which is okay and it isn't their fault. Overall though I'm satisfied by what we're getting with TSL. New story (Darker story at that), new characters, new locations, more realistic Jedi robes, and things like that. But given the fact that Obsidian was GIVEN the sound/tools/graphics engine, I believe that had and should have taken a huge load off of Obsidian's back cause they didn't have to build a game from ground up like Bioware. GIVEN THAT FACT, I believe that there could have been more things that Obsidian could have done with TSL to make it a solid sequel, instead of a glorified expansion pack that TSL is. Cause if you think of it, the suposenly huge additions to TSL are things that are normally in expansion packs for RPGs. Again, I'm not complaining, I'm happy with what I'm getting. I'm just saying it could have been more given Obsidians situation.
  19. Just like the topic says. Ever since you played KOTOR it was a given that there would be a part 2. We just didn't know when. There was even some speculation that KOTOR 2 would be out until the Xbox 2 comes out and it'll be a launch title. Before you knew anything about the official KOTOR 2, how did you always picture KOTOR 2 to be? How did you play out the plot? What newer features did you think it would have? How did you imagine the graphics? Etc.... Also now that you know plenty about KOTOR 2, what is your thoughts now? Is it more then what you expected or did you expect more?
  20. I must say I agree 100% with everything you said. I've been saying this from the very start back in May. I see TSL more of a glorified expansion pack rather then a true sequel. Ever since I beated KOTOR for the first time this is how I pictured KOTOR 2: -- Space Battle. Yeah KOTOR had space battle to an extent, but you really aren't flying the ship, just moving the turrent whiles Sith Fighters fly by you saying shoot me, shoot me. It really wasn't true dog fighting. You know, like what you have in the Jedi StarFighter/Rogue Squadron games. -- The ablity to put hoods up and down. But not just stoping there, but the ablity to take off/put on your Jedi Cloak....like in the movies. Example, at the end of TPM when Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon encountered Darth Maul. They slowly walked up to him, and pulled off their cloaks and ignited their sabers....the duel begins. I thought that you'll also be able to do something like that in TSL as well. -- Vehicles. In KOTOR you had somewhat of vehicles but not true vehicles. I'm talking about things like land speeders and such. Like you'll see them in KOTOR like the speeders the Mandalorian Warriors had in the Shadowlands and things like that, but you couldn't ride them. I thought that in KOTOR 2 you'll be able to. -- Better graphics. When I say better graphics I don't mean enhanced graphics. There is a difference. Enhanced graphics is what we are getting in TSL. Better graphics would be like Jade Empire. See the difference. I always imagined KOTOR 2 to have Jade Empire type graphics. (Assuming that Bioware would again make KOTOR 2) -- Bigger worlds. I must say that the KOTOR worlds were limited, take Tatooine as an example. Tatooine being one of the most famous SW planets we get 4 mediocore areas of the world. Landmass wise I would say that more land is covered in PS1 Final Fantasy games then in KOTOR which is a Xbox title and we know the Xbox is capable of storeing much memory. I must say that I was dissapointed with what we got landmass wise with KOTOR and I thought that KOTOR 2 would be better....but by what the devs are saying it isn't. -- Longer game. Bioware lied to us when they said that if we take time to do everything in the game like side missions and talk with everyone, you can finish the game in 60-80 hours. BIG LIE! I did EVERYTHING possible in KOTOR and talked to EVERYONE that can be talked to and just barely got 40 hours in. So I thought that KOTOR 2 would be longer. Guess what? It isn't. Devs are saying that the timespand of TSL is going to be the same as KOTOR, about 40-50 hours doing everything. Which means about 20-30 hours doing the minimal. Thats sad for a RPG. I know FPS games to where I can get 20-30 hours in. Again, FF games and other RPGs back on the PS1 were longer then 40-50 hours. I logged in 80-100 hours with FFX. But 40-50, Obsidian is this just a joke or are you really serious? -- With KOTOR 2 I believed that your character would have a voice but you'll have to option to turn it off. So in conversations when you pick what you say....then your player says it. -- Real-time combat much like Jade Empire. Read up on JE and you'll know what I'm talking about. Again, this is all assuming that Bioware was the dev, not Obsidian. There is many many many many more things I can add but I just dont have the time. The things I said above are things that actually make up the layout of a sequel and are too broad and dynamic for a expansion pack. I mean think of it, TSL is more of an expansion pack cause the new things we are getting are things that the typical RPG expansion packs get: -- New classes, expansion pack material. -- New force powers/features, expansion pack material. -- New clothes/faces, expansion pack material. When TSL comes out I'm going to be one of the first people to get it cause its a SW game plus its a RPG. I love Star Wars and I love RPGs, and TSL is that so I'm going to get it. You take Halo and Halo 2 and compare how much H2 expands on Halo. You take GTA: VC and GTA: SA and compare how much SA expands on VC. You take KOTOR and TSL and compare how much TSL expands on KOTOR. Now you tell me which expands the most and which expands the least. Right now I just don't believe that TSL is going to be that game that KOTOR was. Go ahead and flame me but I'm only expanding my right as a consumer of a product and speaking my mind.
  21. I vote for Canderous for plot reasons. He is a Mandalorian who fought in the Mandalorian War. Your player Character in TSL fought in the Mandalorian War. I believe he has a closer connection. But then again there is Carth who fought in the War for the Republic which is the same as you. Plus his planet Telos is there. So Canderous/Carth.
