Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Goes Gold
If the fighting isn't too difficult, and if it's believable, i.e. the character fights when she would realistically fight, and only wins fights that she would realistically win, then I'll be happy. Dreamfall seems to have an adventure core with some fighting added on, so it doesn't fit easily into one single genre. That can indeed go horribly wrong, but you also have to be prepared for the possibility of a good game that the reviewers just don't get.

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Goes Gold
(w00t) My most highly anticipated game of the year. I hope they've got it right.

Would it not be easier just to attach a mast and sails to the roof of every car?

Talking to yourself is good, but singing works better for me. Walking in the countryside singing at the top of my voice is great, though not necessarily for anyone nearby.

No, I smile at them until they go away.- Ways to fight stress
Alone time. I find many things relaxing if I can do them by myself without fear of interruption.- SEGA and Obsidian
Wow, two worlds collide... Hello, Mr. Sega-Soldier, and welcome to ObsidianLand. I don't know where we're supposed to discuss this new project, since the relevant thread got closed and there's no dedicated forum for it, but since we have no information about the project as yet it's rather a moot point. The Project New Jersey forum has been around for a long long time, and we don't know anything about that game either.- Let
Not high society at all. Middle and lower-middle class, I'd say, many of them sponsored by the companies they work for. No princes, alas. I was offered a job teaching the spoiled brats of millionaires, but it sounded like a living hell. I don't want to take this off-topic any more (sorry to the original poster) as US energy policy is very interesting. I'll put together a more considered post with my impressions of Saudi Arabia at a later date, if you're interested.- Let
I can't say where I am, for security reasons. If you have clearance, you may look under the spoiler tag. :D- English language spreading like cancer
This has been French policy for decades, carried out through La Francophonie. Where schools in foreign countries have a choice of which foreign language to teach students, there's often a sizeable reward in terms of resources for schools that pick French. I don't think there are many takers, though. English is the dominant global language of the globalisation era, but native speakers be warned - it's not your version of English, whether British or American, it's International English and belongs to no-one. Moreover, who's to say how long it will last? The next global language could easily be Spanish, Chinese or even Esperanto.- Let
It's interesting that the United States is the world's leading advocate of globalisation and free trade, yet some voices in the US are now demanding autarchy. I don't pretend to be an expert on the Middle East after only two weeks here, but if most people hate America, I've yet to see evidence of it, though there are real security concerns for all Westerners. You really should come out and visit and try to get a more balanced view.- Why do you hate YOUR country
Yes, there was definitely something suspicious about those nuns...- If you die and discover there is a God,
There are people who think that this world is hell, and we are the damned who've been sent here for transgressions in a previous life. They're probably quite unhappy people. On meeting God, I would tell him what I thought of him, politely but firmly.- Starforce enforces DRM by instant reboot!
If there's no notice or disclaimer, wouldn't Starforce be legally liable for lost data and the costs incurred as a result?- The Ferret Conspiracy
It's a shame, and it's not good publicity for the game. The main page of this website is still linking to an interview with Ferret, so perhaps he didn't depart on bad terms? Maybe they should hurry up and get the NWN2.com site up again, to generate some good publicity.- Your favorite drink
Cognac is always welcome . ...though not necessarily mixed with melon soda. Jorian, my non-3D video card has conniptions every time I scroll past your sig.- Why does everyone hate the Disciple?
It's the things he shouts in battle. I think you all know which one I mean in particular.- Oblivion GOLD!
Today is never tomorrow, and Oblivion will be out when it's out, but I'd be very reluctant to buy something like that as soon as it was released. Surely something so demanding in terms of system requirements, with a whole new engine, is likely to be rather unstable at first? I'm waiting for the patches. I don't want a repeat of Morrowind, where the first 30 minutes put me off so much I put the game on the shelf for months before trying again (admittedly that was due to the big icky silt strider kind of bug, plus the overall brownness, not instability).- When toilet water is more sanitary...
In the south of the UK there's a long-term shortage of water, and people are being encouraged to install separate rainfall collection systems for flushing the toilet. It's a huge waste of resources to treat water and make it drinkable only to use it for flushing the loo, especially in rainy old England.- Xbox or Pc
In keeping with the general vagueness of the poll I voted randomly, and I don't remember what for.- Your favorite drink
I heard that stuff was lethal.- New NWN2 Site
This really shouldn't be taking so long. They seem to have the NWN2.com address now, yet no site. Are they waiting for the noise around Oblivion to die down before launching?- Why do you hate YOUR country
As others have said, I don't hate my country (the UK), I dislike some aspects of the country and a lot of things the government and people do. One thing I dislike is the way the British make stupid jokes about the French and Germans all the time. They're not funny, well-observed or original, but just because they're at the expense of the French and Germans, everybody laughs. - Ways to fight stress
