  1. I thought every day was Spam Day.
  2. Sure, and throw in the bat bomb for good measure - they can carry out their own controlled explosions. It won't work, though. While dogs are famously loyal, wasps are untrustworthy, and could easily go over to the other side.
  3. That's very moderate and reasonable of you. (You really know how to goad Child of Flame, don't you? )
  4. Obsidian Entertainment is a very good game developer, with one excellent (though imperfect) release under its belt.
  5. But there was spam. This thread is about to be closed, I'm sure. Can anyone come up with a legitimate thread for this forum? The description says "Have a news tip, question, or comment about Obsidian Entertainment? Post it here!". It just looks so weird to have a forum with no open topics. *sigh* Select teeny tiny text Right-click - Copy Show Desktop Right-click - New - Text Document Double-click Right-click - Paste Yes, they are, sometimes. You could try reading a book, or even playing a computer game.
  6. What, like this one? Can you believe this is the only open thread in this whole forum?
  7. Looks like Gothic 2 has just been released in the US (about a week or so ago?). That's 1-2 years after the European release, for what it a pretty good game, certainly up to the standard of many US games. Personally, I have issues with it because I think it killed my video card, but otherwise I hope North Americans enjoy it. Slowly, slowly through the orcs...
  8. One sign of a bad planet is that by the second playthrough you're already using Master Speed and looking at the mini-map rather than the main picture as you travel around. Malachor V was very bad on this score.
  9. The last official patch was v1.2. I think v1.9 of the fan patch is out, and they still come every so often.
  10. I don't know that anyone could ever run VtM:B without a glitch or occasional slowdown, but your computer should have fewer problems than most. Don't forget to install the official patch and the latest fan patch.
  11. Thank you. Sci-Fi/Fantasy pronunciation is a minefield. I assume from the context that he's the one who married Anakin's mother.
  12. How are we pronouncing this? Clegg? Cleegg? Clee-egg? Cligg? Claig (rhymes with time)? I know it's not important, but it's bugging me.
  13. You mean Mira never appears at all? Even to talk to the information guy near the Ebon Hawk? Then you have a problem, and probably need to reload, if you can. The Red Eclipse (quite different to the Crimson Permanent Assurance) should appear the first time you return from the refugee sector to the Ebon Hawk area, so again, if that didn't happen, you have a problem. Some people run into trouble because they please and annoy the Exchange in equal measure (either deliberately or by just not thinking about it) and so the invitation never comes. I think you can still get past this by completing all possible sidequests that the Exchange may care about, and a gamefaq could help you find this - some are a little obscure.
  14. Or just Jedi. That was one thing I liked about Manaan - seeing the all-knowing Jedi hauled before the courts for every minor infraction. Very humbling. Still not worth all the traipsing around, though. You can usually get around the snail's pace underwater sequences, if you cast Force Speed just before you go through the airlock, it helps a bit.
  15. If everyone's going to invade Canada, shouldn't we roll the die to see who goes first? And are we going clockwise or anti-clockwise?
  16. I suppose I always assumed she was human. Aren't Echani human? If anyone had, I'm sure they would never mention it. You do realise that every time someone posts in teeny tiny letters I have to cut and paste it into a text document before I can read it?
  17. Aurora's rebalancing mods make combat harder for non-combat types, adding to the difficulty if you play a force-user character. Follow the links in the mod thread and you'll probably find some more hardcore rebalancing mods.
  18. Manaan is the clear winner so far. It just seems to go on and on and on. The four big zones of the main city create too much running around. It could have been packed into two bustling and lively zones instead.
  19. I remember getting my first computer, a Commodore 64, for Christmas, and spending the whole day typing in The Mystery of Silver Mountain. My parents thought I was crazy, but I was in heaven.
  20. Could the US invade Canada during the winter? I thought the US Army's equipment was all desert-enabled. Do tanks even work in snow? Will having this election in the winter have any effect on the outcome? I wouldn't fancy going to the polling station on a winter's day. In the UK all our elections are in spring or summer (and we still have lousy turnouts ).
  21. He'll be edited out of the next DVD release. He never existed.
  22. Yes, probably rather more so than they deserve. Yet still the topic was closed, rather than moved to a more appropriate forum. Is there an appropriate forum for criticism of the Bioware boards at Bioware? Obsidian forums are so user-friendly they've spoiled us. Here's an interesting quote: So long as you accept the downside of that, which is that the community will stay at the Bioware boards and is unlikely to follow you into enthusiasm for PNJ or other new projects. Is not the better long-term strategy to build up an Obsidian community?
  23. VtM:B is a very good game, well worth playing. If there were a deluge of quality RPGs being released, I could understand someone giving it a miss because of the bugs, but beggars can't be choosers. It has faults, but it's a great story, interesting characters, well acted, and lots of fun.
  24. So many scandals, so little time.
