I dont think they would be too major, it mostly a case of creating new cutscenes that are triggered by different criterior. I dont know enough about programming to say.

Not necessarily, as wouldnt the ending of the second game take into account the ending of the first? Thus you would only have to describe one ending. Or maybe youre right and you describe 2. Is that really so much to ask for a a great game?
