  1. Any class can train others to be jedi assuming your influence is high enough with them and you've satisfied any other prerequisites (I.E. Conversation trees). As for what I would recommend, the Watchman is similar to the sentinel in that it recieves a lot of skill points, it also gets force camo and sneak attack if you're into that. If you're a straight up fighter, then you'll enjoy the new feats that the Jedi weaponmaster unlocks. Finally, if you want to push your ally's alignments to the extreme and want to get LOTS of raw force power, be a jedi master. That's about all I can say. I've only actually played through as a Weaponmaster and a Sith Lord. I would assume all the classes have potential to be enjoyable. Just choose which one you feel your character would want to be.
  2. Strange. I've never heard of someone influencing her so quickly. You must have picked up influence on the way. The duels shoot your influence through the roof, and are also a prerequisite for turning her to a jedi. You can duel her once you reach level 10, then again at 14, and again at 18. I'm not sure how much further you can turn her.
  3. Same here, my friend. Same here. Her portrait is mighty misleading when you first look at it. I might have found it less revolting if it was a different color, though the cut itself is just terrible, and unfortunately it is also a fair resemblance of what's in style with a lot of otherwise attractive females these days. An absolute shame.
  4. If by "turn to the dark side" you mean get her Light/Dark meter down in the red zone, then the answer is yes. You can do that with anyone, though getting your influence high enough to have a drastic effect on their alignment often requires that you be remotely sensitive and not completely cold, thus you might have to get LSPs in the process, but you can always get more dark side points pretty easily. Alignment shifters are a whole lot more common than influence shifters.
  5. Which is a bloody shame. She was the only character that I was remotely interested in after seeing the terror that is Handmaiden's hair. She's the only female on that ship with you know, a relatively normal personality.
  6. I was wondering that myself. My DS character was the first time through so I didn't know that you could side with Vaklu on Onderon and therefore didn't kill Kavar. Later I go to Dantooine and finish off the weakling there (Though I must admit he puts up a better fight than the other two). I was wondering what would have happened if I nabbed Kavar as well. My guess is Kreia orders you to Dantooine and you talk to her there.
  7. I think that has more to do with your influence levels with Visas, I think (her not talking to you). Furthermore, most of the time if you want to build up influence with certain party members, you have to get LSPs while doing so. You can't always take the DS option or you'll shut yourself down. Furthermore, murdering innocents is frowned upon by Bao-Dur, Handmaiden, and I think someone else. It's easy to get influence with the characters who can't become Jedi (Mandalore, HK-47, Go-To) through evil acts. Go figure. Though I hear that Atton is pretty susceptible to going dark, though I haven't tried it. Honestly, after seeing the ending of the game, I have absolutely no desire to really build up influence with any of the party members. Also, after seeing the difficulty level of the game, on difficult, I've found that it's more challenging to go solo whenever possible, and if you don't care about gaining influence, then you aren't missing out on much by doing so.
  8. Yeah, I'm starting a DS sentinel this time through with a similar mindset, but you'll be surprised by how tempting it is to not be a jerk in dialogues and end up being one o' them light sided, stasis fieldin' jedi hippies.
  9. Yes. And I was so confused by the end I had to come here to figure out what was going on AT ALL. I still don't understand this force wound business, either. I've since beaten it as a LS Jedi Guardian/Weaponmaster and actually talked to people some more and did good things, and lo and behold the story made a little bit more sense. I agree that unless something is released that explains the story a bit better for DSers, you should probably play through as a light sider first time through. For me, the Dantooine council helped a lot, and since there WAS no dantooine council for me as a DSer... heheheh...
  10. I'm not trying to whip up a "red scare". I just posted what I saw as the only public comment about knight2 problems, that's all. It seems to ME personally that he didn't care about us minotiry in the way he phrased his comment. But I urge everyone to make up your own mind. Perhaps I did read to much into it, if I did then I do aplogize. But it still leaves the fact that this has been the only public comment about the problems with the game and that's just not right. (If there has been another public comment, please someone let me know) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I have to agree with you here. I read that and I was going to reply with "that was incredibly arrogant", but didn't feel as though it would be appreciated. I don't like that this is the only thing we've gotten so far. Sadly a programmer's comments on another forum are the only scraps we can get from the devs these days.
  11. Yeah, I loved Zherron's voice. Creepy and unsettling... I was half expecting him to try and kill me right then and there when I first met him.
  12. I couldn't place it, really. Though now that you mention it, I suppose it could be scottish... Hmm. For the record, I honestly found Sion to be an amusing character. Far more so than Nihilus. I admit that, obviously, a lot of development was cut out for all of the villains, but Sion's cutscenes are really quite cool. I especially like the one where he's meditating or something on the bridge of the republic cruiser after slaughtering the command crew. Anyway. The voice + appearance is really what made him seem cool, it would've been interesting to see him fight in some cutscenes
  13. I'm trying to remember. It was the second of the force forms I got after force channel or whatever it is that increases non-combat regen... It must have been Kavar, then, because I went to Onderon/Dxun after Nar Shadaa.
  14. Yeah, that's my line of thought as well.
  15. Now wouldn't that be devious? Sadly I thought I would be buying a game, not a Machiavellian device through which Obsidian determines how I will act, heh. Whatever works though. It's possible, and I know I might have done something similar.
  16. Yeah, Force Crush does some pretty obscene amount of damage. Let's do some calculations, shall we? My Consular/Sith Lord beat the game at level 26, a relatively low level, we'll go from there. I didn't powergame him as well as I could, so I think this will serve as a good example of an average character. My Relevant Stats (As best as I can remember, they probably are higher) and yes, I am well aware that these are pretty weak for a consular, he isn't optimized at all. Wisdom 18 + 4 Force Focus Visor + 1 Jal Shey Advisor Armor + 2 Insight Implant Total Wisdom: 25 (+7) Charisma 16 + 3 DS Mastery +1 Force Focus Visor + 2 Jal Shey Advisor Armor Total Charisma: 22 (+6) Force Power DC: 5 + 7 (Wis) +6 (Cha) + 4 (Master Force Focus) + 26 (Level) Total DC 48 First off, force crush does 1-10 damage per character level, with a fort save for half. So right there we have 26d10 (26-260) damage with for an average of 143 damage. Personally, I know I've done about 240 damage with this power before. If they made their DC 48 fortitude save, they take half that much damage, or about 71 damage. Now then, let's toss in force potency, to boost the damage by 30%. Now we're doing an average of 186 damage per force crush with a max of 338 damage. That's for level 26. I've gone ahead and calculated the damage range for force crush while using force potency at some of the higher levels. Level 30: 39-390 (Avg 195) Level 40: 52-520 (Avg 260) Level 50: 65-650 (Avg 325) Anyway. But yeah. My personal record is 240, but I know that there are a lot of twinks out there who have exploited loopholes in the xbox version to get to the upper levels, thought I'd just show you what some of them probably have. Though to be fair, force crush takes a round to do, and in a round, you can get off a lot of lightsaber hits. In terms of the most damage per single attack, the winner will most often be a force power, in terms of the most damage per round, the lightsabers will reign supreme.
  17. I went through my first time as a Consular/Sith Lord, and just finished up the game again last night as a Guardian/Weaponmaster. Both of these chars were about the same level at the end of the game (26 and 27) and my observation yielded that yes, there is a pretty noticeable difference between the two and how effective their force powers were. With the occasional exception of something like a sith lord or a sith marauder, none of the enemies ever saved against the Consular's powers at the end. He had pretty high wisdom and charisma, and was (obviously) dark side. Even the high level enemies like the Marauders and Sith Lords usually failed their saves. I would say one out of every 4 or 5 of them were able to resist the effects of an insanity or a force wave. All of the lesser enemies had no hope of saving, I think I might have seen one or two commandos out of 100 (Or more) save against my force crush, but even then, that power is so ridiculous that you were likely to kill them regardless of whether they saved or not. Now my guardian had force wave, and his base wisdom and charisma weren't that high, though by the end he was wearing several stat boosting items, enough to get his wisdom to 16 or 17 (From his base of 12) and his charisma to 14 probably (Base of 10). Furthermore, he could temporarily boost his stats (and therefore, his save DCs) by using the final version of Force Valor (Can't remember the name of it, boosts all stats by 5 for 20 seconds). However in the same area as above, enemies would frequently make their saves. This isn't to say that force wave was useless, just that, for example, if I walked into a room of eight sith assassins/troopers/whatever and force waved, I could reasonably expect 6 of them to fail their saves and get knocked back and stunned. Final Point: If you want to use the force, be a consular. Not only do you get the DC boosts from force focus, but you'll also probably be concentrating on boosting wisdom and charisma anyway, getting a boost to your DCs from there. Finally, and perhaps most importantly is something that I didn't know about when I first went through: Sentinels and Guardians get a lot of lightsaber forms, but only one force form. Consulars get all 4 of the force forms, and believe me, these are nice forms. They affect everything from force point regeneration (Which you won't need, trust me, I ended the game at level 26 with over 600 force points with my Consular/Sith Lord and never even went down to half of that except perhaps during the final boss battles when I was abusing Force Crush up the wazoo) to the damage that your powers do, to the save DCs of those powers. Force Potency boosts the damage of your powers by 30% for a 20% increase in cost, for example. When you force lightning, you can expect things to die. And since they usually don't make their saves, you can expect things to die FAST. As a sentinel or a guardian you can get the offensive powers, but you just don't RELY on them as much as you do when you're a consular. As a consular, if I wasn't able to knock back a group of 8 or so sith commandos with force wave, I'd probably be in for it, but as a guardian, you can easily handle those guys, and the force powers just make it easier/cooler looking to do so.
  18. Actually, though I may be wrong, I think that Kreia actually uses a different model for when she's handless. At least this is what I would gather from KSE, where she has a different "appearance" setting for before and after her run in with Sion on Peragus.
  19. Hm, I clocked at Consular15/Sith Lord 11 (26) (Difficulty: Normal) my first time through and Guardian15/Weapon Master 12 (27) (Difficulty: Hard) the second time through. It is safe to assume that I really didn't use Kreia that much and I probably could have twinked up my experience a lot by defusing mines instead of running through them like a maniac on Jedi-Crack. Today I'll probably start up again as a sentinel and attempt to solo the game on hard, probably focusing on blasters. I'm really reaching for some sort of a challenge here.
