  2. As a quick aside: I am a soft-hearted person, so understanding that with sufficient speech I can save a character's life means that I am psychologically stuck on Paradise Island at present. Without a way to give a temp boost to speech (either by gear, comestibles, or Companion), I'm struggling to try to make the XP to get to the next level, and Law I do not want to start over or back up. So, it would be really nice, if you have options that are literally life and death for a character, to make it possible for a player to achieve that outcome.
  3. Didn't know about the cap. Played this in EA as well, playing it now. Nice to unlock buildings with tech rather than the town center. Finally have surplus population, my previous games always left me with no labourers. Seems kids take ages to grow up as well, so maybe was lucky with immigrants. Salvage sites is new to me too, also good. Shame soldiers are expensive as heck though.

I'd like to add another bug I encountered: At Anslög's Compass after encountering Edrang and Tilly & exiting the conversation leading to them getting ambushed by xaurip the game doesn't start the turn-based battle, seemingly stuck in real-time with pause until both NPC died & the xaurip focused the party members.

I would say that if you continue to have problems with this, put it all in a write-up using the Contact Us button at outerworlds2.obsidian.net/issue-tracker -- you could reference AR-126155 (which is the original issue tracking number). Make sure you're providing your platform, and the fact that although AR-126155 has been marked as fixed, you still can't do it (and detail all the things you've tried). You should get a confirmation via email that your message has been received. Putting all the info (and referencing the tracking number) in a single report will help the devs out. In fact, if there's anyone else in the thread who's still having this problem, I'd recommend this too. More data == better results. : )

  9. First thing first, thanks for the ammount of work put into all this. Bugs Npc tend to get stuck on other npc corpses(either allied or ennemies) leading to difficulty targeting them/issue moving character accross the battle During a battle and after getting downed Edér was brought back thanks to a "Second Wind" (sorry if it's not the right name I roughly translated from the french name of the ability) and by doing so was out of combat while the remaining hostile npc got stuck in a loop and pretty much soft-locked the game (forced to reload before the fight) A lot of text "X attack Y" can get spammed in the combat log Feedback The Initiative stats isn't clear about what affect it (I presumed Dexterity and action/attack speed would affect it but no idea in what kind of way). It would help to have the tutoriel/tooltips/entry in the encyclopedia more explicit about it. In the same way regarding turn orders/being able to get multiple turn during a single round, attack speed modifiers (such as the monk swift strikes, barbarian frenzy, Two Weapon Style) being shown as %increase end up odd/strange/vague to how it will affect things in turn based combat.

I just got the game for PC, deluxe edition btw, and im between 30m to 1h of gameplay, I am not even in the first planet yet (is suppose to be my next step). 2 crashes in the Incognito in less than 10 min between each other, that had lead into a complete shader compilation for the second time (the first time was when I launched the game for the first time). Sentry Blade, the first melee weapon of the game, cant be unequipped, just like it is there but is a ghost. Incognito autodoc doesnt heal you nor give you inhalers. The stuttering, etc, have been so far a no problem. The game run smoothly and i am enjoying it a lot, but all this bugs and crashes are making me think if I should make a refund until the game is ready to play, because clearly it is not. I hope you look at this, because its hard to enjoy, and seems that im looking more for new bugs that new weapons, armos, etc. I dont know what to do. PS: All this I just describe have happen AFTER the first mission, once you are back at the Incognito.
  11. The elevator to the right when entering the Head Office on the Undisputed Claim leads to the negotiation room to progress the quest.
  12. I tested it on my game. I can confirm that the armor appears to reduce my damage dealt by 90. Sorry I don't have recording but I could test it again if it helps.
  13. Quest Mechanical Matriarch is bugged. The hidden door in the Automech Production Facility won’t open. I don’t get an ‘open hidden door’ option. I’m playing on PS5. The quest seems to be bugged and I can’t progress. Anyone else with the same problem? I found someone on Reddit with the same issue but no workaround yet I guess. Would be nice if this could get fixed

I think there was plan to make another side of conflict which Sub-Rose should be, but as always in modern games happens later this faction was greatly cut from game, and now we have reputaion points and several quests but nothing more. Same with Protectorate but in this case you cannot have any reputation with this faction which looks unlogic because Protectorate is full side of conflict like others
  15. How do you receive the second quest? (The one after Better Than Nature) I read that there's a courier that gives it to you on the ACS but haven't come across it
  16. Haven’t beaten the fame yet. Im taking my time. But so far im on eden and the storyline is very good and writing is also very good. I will say that between grounded and the outer worlds obsidian is the only game studio i know that actually improves on their work and polishes it to a shine. If only more companies were like this. One thing i will say is i am curious why you decided to take out the stat boosts that food and drink used to give you in the first one or in fallout. Like I could drink this to get my speech a little higher for a minute so i can talk to some npc or something. Just curious why you decided to take that aspect out of the game. Anyway great games. Dont change. Don’t become like the rest of the sellout companies. Stay true to your work.
  17. I thought this might be a good place to collect bugs found during the Turn based Beta-Phase. Before jumping into this: I really appreciate Obsidian's decision to put in the effort for this - awesome! Bugs: When queing up a spell that needs some time to cast (putting it to a later place in the turn-order queue) and you take an instant action (like drinking a potion), the spell is instantly completed The text window sometimes gets flooded with messages like "X enganged Y in melee" as if the game was checking for this every second or so Feature request: Hitting the spacebar in turn based combat should ideally not put the game into pause mode but instead finish the characters turn. Alternatively please provide another keyboard command to end the turn Make travel-distance per turn not static (12m) but instead rely on Dex, worn armor etc.
  18. Level cap is too low.. or reached too quickly. I hit level 30 before even getting Inez's first mod kit. I then played for 23 more hours before reaching the end. "Not being able to be successful in conversations outside of Speech checks feels bad." - I agree. Especially if you are completely locked out of something that is supposed to be a choice. Marisol's second quest locks you out of a non-violent solution unless you are dumb or have science 14. They then blame you.. acting like it was your choice to kill everyone when you had absolutely no other choice. And by the way.. There are 3 [lie] options. 1 with Brun and 2 with the security officer. I had both the Charlatan and Tall Tale Teller perks and none (NONE) of the lie options worked. In fact, [lie] barely ever worked in any conversation with those perks. Makes me completely believe that there are no alternate lie dialogues or they completely forgot to put in the options for those perks to give you alternate outcomes. Things I still don't understand: Why is the Protectorate my enemy? Why do we have a reputation meter with Sub Rosa?
  19. I agree with companions. There's barely any babble between them. They are eerily silent during some sections. like you forget they are even there. Each companion team-up seems to have about 3 lines between them and that's it. They then repeat those same lines over and over again which is annoying. In OW1 they babbled a lot more and even gave you compliments when successfully picking locks or hacking something.
  20. Yes please! I love making multiple characters. There's probably no way to manually sort save files on consoles and although you can do it on PC.. it's annoying to have to.
  21. Just found out what happened here. Turns out, if you take the archive solo / don't choose the "make allies" option, you get locked into that choice. Now I have to start the whole game over if I want to negotiate. I would highly recommend that the devs do something to make it more obvious. There was absolutely 0 indicated before or after that it wouldn't allow it. At the very least get rid of the negotiation quest if you're not going to let us complete it.
  22. Having this exact issue as well. When I talk to Ruth, she doesn't have the dialogue about Auntie's Transmission, and despite Inez saying she'd be okay doing the quest, the reputation with Auntie's Choice immediately goes to Kill on Sight. Please fix this!
  23. Very Hard difficulty speaks for itself. I also got wrecked when bossfight in Vox. But after 10 attempts I managed to kill final boss. All you need is bunch of smoke grenades to revive your mates without beeing spoted. Also make sure that you killed all non-boss hostiles in that room before attacking him. Use weapon with corrosive damage and then switch to electric or plasma when armor will be destroyed
  24. I play on Very Hard difficulty without any point in mellee and only 1 point in range weapon. Yeah it's hard to play before you reach 15-20 lvl. But game allow you to abuse dummy NPC AI. So I free to spend points to max uncombat stats like engineering lockpicking etc. But ofc if you have skill issue then play without combat skills on Very Hard is not your way
