Does an item with +1 int stack with an item that has +2 int for a total bonus of +3 int for example?  What about inspirations?  Do they stack?  How about weapon proficiency modals? What among these things do and don't stack with each other type? Is suppression still around in PoE2 or will all items' effects stack with each other?

What kind of douchebag reply is that? Do you not realize that the only reason Google is filled with information is because someone ASKED for said information in the first place (outside of articles)? Whatever you search for, the answer is often found on a forum of some kind.

Not like this.

Yeha, apparently in Deadfire items that grant attribute bonuses do actually stack, which is interesting because it didn't work that way in Pillars 1.

I think it's a great change, I hated having to shuffle around items on my party to avoid suppression.

And don't feed the troll.

AFAIR from in-game tutorial - constant bonuses do stack, and bonuses from temporary and modal sources work like in PoE I - only the largest.

So % based stuff doesn't stack? I found a helmet with reload speed on it and gave it Maia but it didn't show up in her stats. She already has other sources of reload speed on equipment/skill tree.

Thanks for the helpful replies, guys.  It's great that they removed suppression since it takes away one of the more tedious aspects of selecting gear for your characters.  Now, I only still want to know about inspirations stacking or not and weapon modals stacking.  What do these things stack/not stack with?

What kind of douchebag does that? This thread was almost hitting the 3rd page on the forums without an answer.

It apparently took that comment for him to even get an answer.

You're welcome, haha.

So from what I have observed in my game, it seems that for inspirations, the same one doesn't stack with itself but instead refreshes the duration (if it's longer) of the first instance of said inspiration.  I think that modals do stack with inspirations and constant sources like gear.  Am I wrong here?

You are right.

If an Inspiration gives you +armor penetration, it will stack with a modal, item and buff from spell.

However, the modals and spells are at the same group and they won't stack with each other.

What I am not sure about is whether I will benefit from a bonus to +x in melee if I already have +x in general within the same buff group.

So a bonus from an active ability stacks with a bonus from a modal ability (say +accuracy from paladin aura with +accuracy from the fighter active ability)?

onus from an active ability stacks with a bonus from a modal ability (say +accuracy from paladin aura with +accuracy from the fighter active ability)?

Sadly not.

And it is illogical. Devotions for the faithful replace totally zealous aura.

Personnally, I think it is better to reduce devotions for the faithful (+10 accuracy, and reduce to 3s of casting for example), and allow a full stacking rules.

I didn't realize all this stuff stacked.

Does having 2 rings of protection on do anything for you? Does that stack as well?

What about stacking deflection? Is that still a great strat? I heard that was the way to go in POE1, I'm not sure how effective it is in POE2. I still try to prioritize that.

x of protection stacks, deflection stacks (to the point you can make an unhittable character).
