November 23, 20187 yr I think Redskins probably would've won the division had Alex Smith not been horribly disemboweled, but that's the nature of football. At least it won't be the Packers beating you in the playoffs this time, right? Quote Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved - indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.
November 23, 20187 yr Believe me, Barty, I'm already envisioning the last minute drive during wild card weekend where Rodgers ends our season. I have Rodgers PTSD. We need to make the playoffs first, though. Edited November 23, 20187 yr by Keyrock 🇺🇸RFK Jr 2024🇺🇸 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

November 26, 20187 yr I'm not eliminating the Packers just yet. They'll find some way to sneak into the playoffs and Rodgers will murder muh Boys like he always does, assuming we even make the playoffs. I'll only breathe a sigh of relief once the Cheeseheads are mathematically eliminated. Then someone else can break my heart. 🇺🇸RFK Jr 2024🇺🇸 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
November 26, 20187 yr We're three games behind the top 3 wild card contenders (Seahawks, Vikings, and Redskins: it's actually 2, but they all have tiebreakers over us because they all beat us head to head, so it's effectively 3...and also, losing all your games against the other wildcard contenders generally means you aren't going to be a wildcard). There's also the Panthers that I'm not even considering as well. We're not making it. (e): Actually, I forgot about that stupid tie, so only the Vikings are 3 games ahead of us - the other two are "only" two games ahead of us. Still pretty bad. November 26, 20187 yr Everything you wrote is correct and makes perfect sense, but I cannot get the image of muh Boys scoring to take the lead in the 4th quarter while leaving TOO MUCH TIME (read: any time at all) for Rodgers. Rodgers is like a troll. You can't just kill him regularly, you need to burn the corpse or he just regenerates and comes back to kill your whole party. Stock up on oil flasks, Cowboys. So what priority positions do we need for next year? Pass rusher, safety, right tackle and maybe a linebacker (Oren Burks doesn't seem to be a hit)? I'll do it, for a turnip. November 27, 20187 yr Punt on linebacker for the time being - Burks was a 3rd rounder, and his flaw is his game speed, which may or may not improve with time, and we have at least one half-decent ILB in Martinez. Pass rusher is the biggest need, and safety is almost equally as big of a need. Ye' gods, both our safety and EDGE play are just abysmal. Probably OT after that. I actually think Blake is better than half-decent. I'd even put him in the good category (but it might just be me being ignorant). Actually, going into the season, I was very happy with having Blake and Jake as ILB. But I suppose they will cut Jake at the end of the season, which I think is a shame. But okay, the big cannons will be brought in to get good pass rush and safety, we can agree on that. I'll do it, for a turnip. DnD item quality description mod (for PoE2) by peardox

November 30, 20187 yr That was an impressive defensive performance by muh Boys and Dak did exactly what he needed to do in that type of game, make zero mistakes. We're now won 4 straight and are in control of our own destiny. If we beat Philly next week we'll have a stranglehold on the division. Oh God, they've lured me back in. Supabaw! Supabaw! December 3, 20187 yr Okay, the Packers are definitely done. I can breathe a sigh of relief. It won't be Aaron Rodgers ripping my heart out of my chest Kali Ma style this year. December 3, 20187 yr I felt a disturbance in the Force early in the game. I just knew we were going to lose. Didn't think they'd fire McCarthy during the season though. So will be interesting to see who the new HC will be. Sucks to be out of it already, for the second season in a row. The draft can't come soon enough. Go Pack Go. I'll do it, for a turnip. December 8, 20187 yr Biggest game of the year coming up tomorrow. If we beat Philly we won't mathematically win the division quite yet, but for the most part we'll have it sown up tight.
