May 16, 20178 yr They mentioned the slogan being part of the missed marketing because of politics, but the only people who I've seen try to make political connection to Tyranny are reviews that came out months after release.
May 16, 20178 yr Why didn't Tyranny sell? Paradox on Obsidian's RPG "everyone was hoping would do better" I put most of the blame on Paradox in this particular case. I don't blame other publishers for previous Obsidian games.

Paradox on Obsidian's RPG "everyone was hoping would do better" It didn't sell because Paradox's marketing relies heavily on streaming and streamers which obviously doesn't work with a game like Tyranny or else you've managed to spoil half of the game before the game is even out. But then again, it will sell slowly and it already has DLC's coming up, so not a complete failure. Hate the living, love the dead.

June 13, 20178 yr Steam just started downloading something big for Tyranny! And by big, I mean 3.6 GB. It's one big patch: link to thread about patch, and I get the feeling that there may still be more content coming, edit: Fixing link as posting the whole thing broke it somehow. It does look a heck of a lot like Barik's helm, yeah, you're right. Would be good to have a way of freeing him other than giving his soul to Voices of Nerat.

June 13, 20178 yr Welp, there goes my solo characters that went full riposte with a two hander and four material force spells. Probably for the best from a balance perspective though Changing Riposte was necessary.

July 25, 20178 yr There also seems to be two Verse-related achievements (#NEW_ACHIEVEMENT_3_1_NAME and #NEW_ACHIEVEMENT_2_25_NAME), but only one for Lantry (#NEW_ACHIEVEMENT_2_24_NAME) and Barik (#NEW_ACHIEVEMENT_2_23_NAME).
August 1, 20178 yr Man, these new achievements are frustrating. On the one hand, yay, new Tyranny news. On the other hand, it's not actually new Tyranny news. It's a tiny light at the end of the tunnel, except you have no idea how long the tunnel actually is or how far along inside of it you are.
