Meshugger Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 It's all because Putin is one of the Karamazov brothers: http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/01/the-secret-source-of-putins-evil More liberal bellyaching. I disagree with his premise about Russian identity crisis, though there is an inferiority complex. Russia's real problem, as in so many other countries, is authoritarianism and corruption, i.e. lack of the rule of law. Peter is considered a great hero, because he vastly increased Russia's power and made it a player on the world stage. I do not think that the author has actually read the books by Dostoyevsky, as the themes contain a critique of rationality and socialism in themselves, not against western europe. I almost get the impression that the author of the article wants Russia to hate the west. "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
redneckdevil Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Okay, so lets see here. The FBI was denied access to the DNC servers and the smart phone that was hacked. Since the FBI was denied access, they instead had to rely on the findings from a "highly respected private company" so the unclassified report did NOT have hands on facts of Russia's "hacking". According to the findings from the "highly respected private company" and not from hands on forensics since they were denied, they conclude the Russia and Putin "meddled" in the election but found no evidence of voting tampering from them... So even the FBI is saying they themselves have found no proof and have to go on a PAID companies findings to draw their conclusion. And hell even meddling I'd say is the right word since it can be used for sooooo many things such as Putin did in fact "meddle" in our elections when he says something about our elections on tv. So I ask, what exactly HAS been found that is a serious offense that Russia has done for our election? So far we have nothing concrete evidence from our very own govt agencies and instead going off on "private businesses" that since they are going unnamed could also have tailored their findings towards what the person who hired them wanted them to find. It's very crazy that if u keep saying a lie over and over again even when the public KNOWS that it's a lie, people will start accepting some of it if not most or all of it over time if u are bombarded with it.
Gfted1 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Russia got more nukes, China got more footmen. Pick your poison. China is only a problem for Europe and Asia. They would never make it across the Pacific. Russia? We'll just shoot down their nukes and let the fallout blow where it wishes. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Gorgon Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Current anti ICBM systems only promise to be effective against small timers like N Korea. It's still MAD, I'm afraid. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-ballistic_missile Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
HoonDing Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 N Korea wouldn't fire nukes unless as a very final result. What they would when attacked is bomb Seoul and Tokyo to smithereens. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

redneckdevil Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Well I dunno which thread to put this in so here good enough for me. So what do y'all think about about Obama bypassing the 4th amendment and letting the NSA share its information with several agencies (FBI, DEA, DHS to name a few) WITHOUT warrants, court orders, or congressional hearings? So is the 4th amendment basically gone now? How is he able to do so?
Gorgon Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Snowden was right about privacy. It's something you have to claim for yourself with encryption. They have been at it since the Bush administration. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.

Meshugger Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Perhaps this is the real reason on why there's always protests against Trump. Those organizing these very protests have suddenly realized all that benevolent power granted to the executive branch for their greater good is now in the hands of someon else.
BruceVC Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 Perhaps this is the real reason on why there's always protests against Trump. Those organizing these very protests have suddenly realized all that benevolent power granted to the executive branch for their greater good is now in the hands of someon else. What protests are you referring to? Because most of the protests are people addressing the bombast and hyperbole that Trump said to win the election...so far I'm not sure what he has done since winning the election legally that warrant protests? Twitter updates from Trump are divisive and unhelpful but should not be seen as policy "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead" - Nelson Mandela
