[PX2 3.0] Frythr's Plated Greaves' DR gets suppressed by armor

SAVED GAME: link

 

OUTPUT LOG: link

 

 

REPRO STEPS:

 

Load the attached saved game.

Select the protagonist an go to her inventory.

Observe she is wearing the Frythr's Plated Greaves boots.

Go to her character record and scroll down until you find the boots and their effects listed.

Observe the DR bonus from the boots is suppressed.

 

 

Is this intended (as in, the bonus DR from the boots gets suppressed from your armor)?
 

If not, I believe the Cloak of Comfort suffers from the same behavior.

This is for sure not intended, and you are correct in assuming the Cloak of Comfort suffers from this as well. Fortunately our designer has fixed this on our internal build, and the fix will be pushed in the next patch =)

Are bonuses from equipment items supposed to stack now or is it an exception to the rule?

Heya hilfazer!

 

This was more of an exception to the rule; if armor suppressed the DR bonuses on equipment in other slots, the only way to get these items to work would be to not wear any armor. Stat bonuses and effects will still be suppressed, but the +DR specifically should stack. =)

Follow up question -- is Pilferer's Grip supposed to be an exception to that rule as well? It's pretty well known that 'Sly' (-10% Armor Speed Penalty) gets suppressed by Durgan refinement, I don't think I've ever seen it posted here as a bug, however, so it might not be on your all's radar.

That's a great question!

 

I asked our designer, and he said that this is indeed working as intended. The only ones that are intended to stack with armor are the +DR bonuses =)
