February 8, 20169 yr Hi, When I visit various fields, woods etc. I generally search out plants and grab them all. Some are more useful than others. Do plants "respawn " i.e. regrow over the course of the game or once picked that is it? Thanks

Do plants "respawn " i.e. regrow over the course of the game or once picked that is it? I'm pretty sure they don't. At least I don't ever recall picking a plant from the same spot twice. However... there's a stronghold upgrade you can build which will generate random plants over time I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com
February 8, 20169 yr I guess the reason why the plants do not regrow is because you collected the entire plant. Gaming is meant to be fun. http://gamingwithscottii.blogspot.com/
February 8, 20169 yr The game should allow us to become a farmer-slash-enterpreneur, instead of an adventurer. One could probably make millions by establishing a Pilgrim's Crown plantation in Dyrwood ... "Some ideas are so stupid that only an intellectual could believe them." -- attributed to George Orwell
February 9, 20169 yr I think they do grow back after a while and there are traders who sell plants too... I wish you could decide which plants to grow in your stronghold botanical garden. I often need the plants needed for adding lashes to weapons - can't get enough of those. Needful Things mod at Steam | Nexus

Sigh.
February 9, 20169 yr They don't grow back. But shops will generate more parts over time. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
February 9, 20169 yr I swear I have been back to locations not visited for days and there is stuff growing again Needful Things mod at Steam | Nexus
February 9, 20169 yr Really? That has to be new. I never experienced that - but I would appreciate it. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
February 9, 20169 yr Maybe seeing plants it is tied to an ingame stat like survival? Then returning to an old area could show new plants because your survival was too low before to see them. That either needs testing or divine intervention by the devs.
