Leferd Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Spurs defense was just too good. Golden State couldn't even cover the spread (Spurs -4.5). "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle

Leferd Posted March 21, 2016 Author Posted March 21, 2016 Then you have significant reading comprehension and inferencing problems. That was their seventh loss of the season. Dropping them below .900. Warriors offense can only be stopped by a combination of Steph Curry not making shots and a sublime defensive performance. Curry shot terribly and the Spurs held the Warriors to only 79 points. In other news...Anthony Davis is shut down for the rest of the year. ManifestedISO Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 First-ever tenth-ranked team in the Final Four--I would've thought this miracle had previously occurred, but, no. Also, SDSU at MSG in NYC for NIT Final Four. Go Aztecs! All Stop. On Screen.
ManifestedISO Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Aztec fail. Twenty-nine percent shooting. No bueno. At least BYU lost, too. That makes everything else in the entire world better. All Stop. On Screen.
Leferd Posted March 30, 2016 Author Posted March 30, 2016 Haha. Wow, this thread has transitioned to the NIT. Shawn Bradley and Jimmer Fredette are shaking their heads. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle

Wow, did you hear that annoying creak as a door, I assume, closed in the background? I'm going to assume that was the Warriors closing the door on Lebron's hopes of getting a championship to Cleveland. 1
kgambit Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 First-ever tenth-ranked team in the Final Four Technically true as they are the first #10 seed to do it but they are not the first double digit seed to make it. LSU (#11) did it in 1986; George Mason (#11) in 2008 and VCU (#11) in 2011. VCU was the first to do it from a play-in game. Syracuse is the first double digit seed to do it without an overtime victory.

ShadySands Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) But will they get to 73? Here is the schedule for the last 5 games and they can only lose once more vs. Timberwolves (April 5) vs. Spurs (April 7) @ Grizzlies (April 9) @ Spurs (April 10) vs. Grizzlies (April 13) Edited April 4, 2016 by ShadySands 1 Free games updated 3/4/21
Hurlshort Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I still expect it. They looked pretty dang good against Portland, better than they have in a few weeks.
ShadySands Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I'm worried about the Spurs games, especially the one in SA Free games updated 3/4/21
Hurlshort Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I'm worried about the Spurs games, especially the one in SA That would make sense as the loss, but it is tough to predict what either team will do about resting players.
Leferd Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 The SAS road game is the only remaining scheduled loss. Question is, will Pop and the Sours players care about an undefeated home record? Also, Golden State hasn't won a regular season game in San Antonio during the Tim Ducan era beginning in 1997. For what it's worth, Vegas put up -260 on the Warriors hitting 73. FiveThirtyEight gives them a 60% chance. They'll do it. The organization --players and management wants it.
