I don't think it has any CGI cut scenes if that is what you are asking.

It does has narrated text based story bits, like BG and IWD.

 

And probably some ingame cut scenes.

Its understandable if there isn't more due to costs. Also it's not most important, but it would have been a nice extra

There is a sweet resting cinematic.

No cinematics (maybe an intro?) most probably, just cut-scenes in forms of a picture with a scrolling text, an in-engine animation or sketched scripted interactions.

There are movies, just a warning though - Unity's movie player is not very good and it lags a bit (yeah I know lol).

Oh, right! I forgot about the original BG cinematics. Maybe because I only played it a bit many years later. I only remeber the sketch-like intro of BG2 Way better than this one btw.

I really hope Pillars' is nothing similar :D

BG1's bit was cheesy even in the late 90s.
