Get most of my NBA news/updates from nba.com. Sometimes yahoo or msn have a (re)printed article. And, it's all the same. Whichever team wins is best ever gonna win and the losing team magically sucks. Back and forth. This happens with all sports - it was ESPICIALLY bad in hockey but it happens with this too.

Remember when CHI had a 2-1 lead on CLE? They were basically deifying Rose. By the end of the series, I'd swear they all but  labeled him 'worst ever'. Same here with Curry. He had a bad game and he gets trashed b/c the teams lost.  His stats are basically in line with the other game (little better s% but less points) and the team wins  and somehow he shows he is the 'MVP'. COME ON.

It's a best of seven for a reason. Stop flip flopping between games.

Who's flip-flopping?

The general narrative is and always have been that the Warriors were going to win.

After Game 1: The Cavs were doomed without Kyrie.

Game 2: Delly shuts down Curry and steals one at Oracle.

Game 3: Delly becomes folk hero and has gym named after him in his Aussie hometown. Dubs need to adjust just like the Memphis series.

Game 4: Lebron has a blood circle on his head and Dubs play small and fast on tired Cavs. Iguodala could win Finals MVP.

I haven't read or seen much of anything where both LeBron and Curry are interchangeably getting trashed. At least not by the CREDIBLE basketball media -whom I listed.

Talking heads looking for shock value and ratings may have said it, but I don't pay attention to the rabble.

James should be MVP. GS is winning b/c the entire GS team > entire CLE team.

The result of this game is not too surprising. CLE runs out of gas in 4th quarter. NOT SURPRISING.

CLE *might* win G6 (I doubt it) but they ain't gonna win G7. GUARANDAMNTEED.

I think it's pretty obvious that LeBron and the Cavs are just simply out of gas at this point, that's the second game in a row now where you could visibly see the Cavs fade down the stretch.  LeBron is incredible, but he's still human and he's going to wear down eventually.  This was the game where they got the extra day of rest and it still wasn't enough, they're not getting an extra day off again this series.  Obviously, it's not over until it;s over, but I'd definitely be surprised if this went 7.

They don't give you series MVP with 2-11 from the line, do they.

That was pretty rough, but he was still impressive in all other aspects.

Although I can see Lebron still getting it even with a loss.  He's been a monster.

What's Curry's assist to turnover ratio for the finals, I wonder?

It's not great, but he's not a prototypical PG either.  Look at how often other players bring the ball up and set up at the top of the key.  I'm happy if he keeps his turnovers around 5.  He'll make up for it in other ways.  He pulled two offensive rebounds off missed free throws tonight!

I believe if they win G6 on Tuesday they get 2 off for G7.

Turnovers  are eh. Lebron gets his share of TOs, too. This isn't surprising when certain players have the ball in their hands a lot.

Also, I laugh at all the tools bragging about 'Delly'. He just isn't as good as people claim.  Curry missed shots earlier b/c like any shooter he will have his poor shooting performances. It's part of basketball.

As for Finals MVP.. there are multiple players who are in the running for it. Curry, Iguolda, or even Lee since the series arguably 'turned around' when he started getting playoff time. But, with CLE, it's alls Lebron. Always.

Lebron is the best and most valuable player in this series. GS is the best team. It]s not hard to compute.

Lebron has put up incredible numbers. Not to be denied. But if this makes any sense, the Warriors are absolutely containing him --he's actually not as dominant as the numbers suggest.

Iguodala has forced LeBron to work for pretty much each and every shot to the point that he's shooting under 40% for the series. It's a testament to Lebron that he's made so many tough shots, but it's not winning basketball, and the Warriors are absolutely happy that that.

For the series, Cleveland is shooting a lousy 38% and Lebron took half those shots.

Offensively, Golden State is playing Curry off the ball more than in any other time this season. With the increased minutes for Iguodala, Livingston, and Draymond, it's harder for Cleveland to cover both Curry and Klay when they have so many players capable of handling the ball and making decisions.

Late Game 3 and all of Game 4, I'd like Iguodala to get it, after that.

LeBron has a movie coming out, he can get his own Golden Globe then ...

Mozgov never played like this in Denver. JR on the other hand played exactly like this in Denver. Iguodala, I don't remember his time here, sorry.

OK. I said I was gonna stop after three shots. Took a fourth, and then a fifth, because why not??

I love this team. I love that they broke the rules.

  • Jump shooting teams can't with the chip.
  • You can't win by shooting threes.
  • You can't play with tempo and be elite offensively and defensively.

Well this team did it. They played at the fastest pace, scored the most points, and were by far, the best defensive team in the league.

They were tops in FG% and 3pt. FG%. The were tops in Opp. FG%. They had more assists than any team since the Showtime Lakers of Magic and Kareem.

They can play big and they can roll on fools playing small.

They value character more than talent all things being equal.

This team did Don Nelson proud.

This has been a long, dry, and absurdly bad spell and I submit Exhibit A courtesy of Bill Simmons of Grantland: http://grantland.com/features/how-annoy-fan-base-60-easy-steps/

When I first read that piece, I wept. That was the most moving, truthful, and most cathartic thing I've ever read as a self-admitted long suffering die hard fan of the Golden State Warriors. So I thank Bill Simmons for writing it. I thank Joe Lacob for rescuing this team from the dark ages. Stephen Curry, David Lee, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green, Mo Buckets, Andris Biedrins, Baron Davis, Stack Jack, Corey No Passies Maggette, Earl Boykins, Mookie Blaylock, Marc Unstoppably Baby Jackson, Keith Jennings, Run TMC, Rod Higgins, Tom Tolbert, Sarunas Marciulionis, Manute Bol, Sleepy Floyd, Jason Caffey, Cliff Robinson, Tom Gugliotta, Latrell Sprewell, Jeremy LIn, Adonal Foyle, Jason Richardson, Marco Belinelli, Tom Abdenour, Keith Smart, Gregg Popovich, Garry St. Jean, Donnie Nelson, Larry Smith, Otis Smith, Ralph Sampson, Jim Barnett, Gregg Papa, Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, Speedy Claxton, Matt Barnes, and everyone, they're all ingrained. Mostly bad, terrible, tankable years.

Drunken Draymond is a man of the people.

  • He gets out of his parade ride and causes chaos on the street
  • He puts Marshawn Lynch in a headlock
  • He steals a flag
  • He takes a bottle of champagne from a fan and pours it all out on the guy and his buddy

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/25220648/draymond-green-is-having-another-championship-parade-in-saginaw-mi

  • He picks up multiple toddlers and lifts them high in the air
  • He later gets called out by Andre Iguodala as that one "Buzzed Uncle" at the family BBQ.

I know many people are saying DeAndre is going to decline offensively without Chris Paul, but I lean to think what Zach Lowe said about him - he's like a three point specialist. He may only do one thing really well, but he does it far better than anyone in the league. You can't replace him with a Hibbert or Monroe and say everything is fine. That's a big part of the Clippers offense gone. Carlisle will make it work. He had Jamer Nelson throwing lobs to Chandler.

Oh, now both the Lakers and Clippers are in trouble. Heh.

Bill Simmions said it once before during the season too that the clips looked dysfunctional, when during winning streaks.

Edit: Oh, and the biggest loser in all this is Blake Griffin. He can't guard all the tops bigs on a nightly basis. Should have been at the meeting...

Even though their NBA careers only overlapped for one season, I always got Darryl Dawkins mixed up with Hershey Hawkins. Must be the alliteration.
