Every so often the zoom bugs out (I think sometimes when I alt tab? Not sure.) and it'll only zoom the Fog of War and some visual effects like shadows, whereas the actual view stays the same. Reloading fixes it.

 

I can't attach an image right now because I can't reproduce it, but it's happened twice.

Also happened to me, when loading a new area... The zoom would only affect the fog of war ...

This appears to happen consistently whenever I save. Reloading the game fixes it.

Yep, happened to me as well loading new area and entering combat immediatelly (first group of beetles on the area to the east of town).

Thank you all for your postings. We are aware of this issue. It is actually caused by saving your game as Waywocket mentioned. Once you save your zoom in and out function will affect our ambient map as well as the fog radius. Transtitioning and/or loading a game will fix this.
