I can't wait to start playing the game. I thought it was a fabulous idea from the start. Is there a time frame for when the beta will begin? :yes:

Yeah, a beta ... or an alpha... or anything we could feel.?

Having slogged through a number of betas... I may hold off... you burn out bug-tracking the beta to the point that the actual game loses some degree of entertainment and value...

Are you gonna throw rocks at me? What about now?

..

What about now?

I won't ever beta/alpha this. I get wanting to play ASAP, but I only plan to play once it's finished.

I'm also on the waiting team. I am in no rush, and I prefer to play the final, full version instead of betaing. I've done my fair share of betas in this life, I deserve a final release, once in a while.

PE seems like it will have more replay-value than most games. Number of different class/races, adventures hall (so you can avoid story npcs etc) and ironman.

I'll still have mods to look forward to after release.

@OP:

I'm a mod on the Wasteland 2 boards (please do stop by, BTW! We've cast Turn Undead on most of the shouty I-will-stab-you-if-you-like-any-RPG-made-after-this-arbitrary-date crowd, and it's become a nice little community), and I'm in the beta.

It's cool having the game (which I do like, even in its current jank-filled state) on my computer already, it's nice to be part of a community dedicated to improving it, and watching the game get better has been an informative and intellectually stimulating experience.

That said, the process of beta testing itself is excruciating. If you're expecting a long paid demo full of quality-of-life improvements like no crashes to desktop, a consistent framerate, most features working as they should, etc., allow me to disabuse you and any other starry-eyed romantics of that notion post-haste.

Is there a time frame for when the beta will begin?

None yet that I'm aware of. I think it's still a bit early to be predicting time frames for that.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

Why wait for the official beta? Just LARP it.
