Notso
So I was wondering, do you guys think it will be possible to do a non-lethal play-through? Is it something people would like to see as a possibility if it isn't currently in the works? Personally, I think the ability to perform a non-lethal play-through would add a huge amount of depth to the player choice the devs have promised. For me, "non-lethal" must absolutely include everything. So that means, for example, being able to talk your way out of the final boss fight. Rabain
I think Josh said in a recent interview that a pacifist playthrough (his words) was not in the current design plan. He did say they planned to make plenty of encounters and opportunities to use non-combat abilities and options to avoid combat via dialog etc in certain circumstances. AwesomeOcelot
I think Josh said no on the PCGamer live chat. Non-lethal options, but not designed for a whole play through, that usually means bosses have to be killed.

True_Spike
I don't think it would fit the game at all. It's not Deus Ex, you're not facing only *people*, not to mention the medieval-like setting of the game. Besides, it's kind of hard to make an epic RPG with a story full of grandiose centered around non-lethal takedowns.
Naurgalen
Like some people said, the setting does not allow for some things like full non-lethal: I'm not believing that you will just knockdown a dragon without him waking up later and going for revenge. (and that's assuming you CAN knockdown a dragon)
jivex5k
I recall hearing something like: Sometimes you have to use violence, even if you don't want to. Something about adding danger to the world. Makes sense to me, and only means some encounters will be that way.
Hassat Hunter
The very first itteration of the HK factory, you could complete it without any battle. It was complete and utter boring. Good thing that didn't make it in the final... So yeah, no combat RPG gets stale, so as goal it's not that great... ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. Notso
I'm not saying you should be able to complete everything non-lethally. Obviously, defeating a dragon without being lethal is ridiculous. However there should be an option to avoid that fight if you want to.
