Aoha
I saw this being mentioned on topic or two and since I loved "Force mage" tree from DA2 I might as well ask if this is something that you wish to see in game. Do you want Psionic class/race in the game? A game play that would be focused on use of mental powers like telekinesis and telepathy. Troller
We gotta hear what they have to say more about the way magic will work, maybe psionic and magic are both the same thing...
Tamerlane
Kenji Sato is under alien control. Sigourney Webb is under alien control. HWP-3 is under alien control. Skyrange 1 is under alien control. Paris is under alien control. ARHGHGHGHG So long as the universe is built around it proper-like, I don't really care. But I figure a universe with powerful telekinesis and telepathy on top of "standard magic" is gonna be pretty friggin' different, and I don't know how to end this sentence so here's a period. Arrgeron
I'd just put in in a skill tree in the mage category. Makes the most sense, no need to have 10 different classes for mages, just let the player decide what they're gonna play.
Karranthain
Yes please, I loved Psionics in the Wizardry games.
Delterius
I'm in favor of waiting for more information about the setting. Psionics always felt kinda awkward in the Realms. But I'm voting yes since it may just cause the setting to become less 'standard fantasy' because of it.
Mystwalker
Here's my pitch on how a psionic class might work. Check it out: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/60075-psionic-class/ Show the brain-melters some love!

Psionics would be a good way to take standard fantasy-fare for a wild spin.
HangedMan
I am also joining the chorus in wanting tos ee a psionic class. However, I'd like to see something closer to the Soul Knife from D&D, as a viable option. Soul Knife is pretty much... you use your psionic powers to create a rather personal weapon. As you gain levels, you can give it different enchantments, even swap them out for new ones, or otherwise change the blade around to do what you want with it. Call me crazy, but, their is just something sort of profoundly awesome about killing the Big Bad with a sword made of your desire to kill the Big Bad. Edited September 17, 2012 by HangedMan Do you like hardcore realistic survival simulations? Take a gander at this.
Amentep
My first D&D character ended up with a wild Psionic talent back in the day, so I'm always cool with psionics being in the game. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Pangur
Personally I think psionics don't fit really well into a fantasy game. But it definitely depends on the setting. Do I want them in this particular game? Right now my answer would be 'no', but it may change when we know more about the game world.
limaxophobiacq
Nope, including psionics in a fantasy setting that already has magic just feels kitchen-sink. Either-or. Edited September 17, 2012 by limaxophobiacq
Tauron
We gotta hear what they have to say more about the way magic will work, maybe psionic and magic are both the same thing... This...tepepathy and telekinesis just might be branch of one magic school. If not, than we have to see whats devs vision of psionics. So far I had to say no, becouse for me it is magic until further notice.
FreezingShock
Yes, actually. I've never played a game which involved psionics before and from what I've read about them they really do seem quite interesting. It is not, however, a top priority. If Obsidian feels there's something more important they should spend their time on then this idea can be dropped at a moments notice without me really being disappointed. ET3D
Psionics is basically magic with a different way of making it happen and different side effects. Given that magic in Project Eternity is soul based and not D&D-like, I think that the distinction might not be necessary.
1varangian
There's no need for psionic powers to be separated from magic. As for reading minds, it's impossible to implement properly in a CRPG. It's also something I hope would not exist in the setting.
