You can also get meat substitutes that look like meat. I've noticed a lot of chinese shops here in Sydney sell it. Looks and tastes like meat but it isn't.

A lot of the seafood that people eat are either carnivorous (larger fish like Tuna, Swordfish, Flounder, Sole, Cod, etc.) or omnivorous (Lobster, Crabs). I'd probably consider filter-feeders like shrimp and shellfish omnivorous, too.

Pigs will eat meat quite cheerfully. So I've been told. In general however my biology teacher suggested that we avoid predators because they are more prone to parasite infestations, which we may take on board. Plus I'm told most predator meat tastes distinctly bitter. I do know a fellah who was obliged to eat baboon while in Africa.

I tend to not be a huge fan of beef, preferring Pork or poultry. I've known a couple people who went Vegan because it was popular. They then didn't take the various supplements they needed in order to provide the nutrients they didn't get from meat and dairy and started getting sick all the time and were constantly cold. We laughed and ate cheeseburgers.

Id never make it as a vegetarian, I just love meat too much. FFS, my spaghetti sauce alone has a pound of ground beef in it.

I'm a fan of mixing meats in the one dish. I've often thought that if there was such a thing as reincarnation then I must have been Polish. Where possible I always begin with frying some bacon in the pan, and I generally use the 'wrong' stock to go with the meat. i.e. chicken to go with beef etc.

 

Occasinally I have what are best described as mental reboots which leave me wondering what is going on. This happened to me once when I was eating a burger and I threw up. I realised i was chewing cow arse. Which did make me think. But then I'd say the same horror could apply to any number of perfectly normal operations.

 

My favourite food in the world is biltong. Which is raw air-dried meat. NOT pemmican before anyone fething suggests so. You cannot possibly get more meaty than biltong. It's pure condensed raw meat.

I think it's only sporting to point out that the majority of meat I do eat is vegetarian meat. With that in mind could I ask you to perhaps supplement your lentils with more beer, saltbush grass, and rosemary?
