I wonder will it be released at the same time as EP3?

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God.

So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me?

Nothing personal. It's just revenge.

Well I think we should find out more next week at GDC.

Portal 2 will be a standalone full-price game with new mechanics and it's own story. Not sure when Ep3 will come out.

This.

Hopefully it'll be playable at PAX East, but I highly doubt it.

In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum.

Portal made be want to puke.

I still loved it.

Looking forward to the sequel.

My hat off to you, good sir.

It was kind of fun. Not even close to the hype, but it was playable and had tons of charm.

THIS IS GOOD!

the only better news out of the valve camp would be an announcement of ep 3 coming in july, with the full length half life 3 to be released in november... surprise!

instead we get this, then in 3 years we get ep 3, then in 2020 we get half life 3

Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.

I'm so happy I could dance.

I never dance.

Two points of interest)

a) It is due out THIS YEAR

2) It takes place in (some) natural environments

I think Portal is an example of how important a good ending is. For me, it was an enjoyable game, but the ending ranks up among one of the best I've seen in a game. The final battle, the humor, the ending song just left me very satisfied. When I actually think about it though, most of the game up to that point had just been... ok. Not great or anything, enjoyable but not amazing.

Or perhaps I drank so much I couldn't remember?

I really liked Portal because it was unique and quirky, had great humor and was very consistent all the way though.

I hate it when games just fall apart halfway through or near the end.

Not remembering is failure in itself. Drinking is serious business.

I dunno, I liked the first one and this is good news, but not very surprising.

"Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Portal 2... Humm... It might end up being good but I doubt it will be as good as Portal. -_-

"Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum."

Portal was one of those near perfect games. Hopefully sequel will be just as good.

Let's play Alpha Protocol

My misadventures on youtube.

I was just playing Portal again and in the starting level when you get the Portal gun I decided to make a portal on the ground next to the portal on the wall and jump through it. Normally when I do this, I get flung about in a portal loop a few times and then hit the edge of a portal and don't fall in.

This time, that didn't happen. This time I warped through it about 10 times and then died. LOL!

You can make an endless portal tunnel and fall forever. There's even an achievement for it.

Then how did I die? There's no falling damage is there? I did fall on a camera I ripped off the wall and threw in the portal tunnel first. Maybe hitting that killed me?

No idea, but this is what it looks like.

It was pretty much the first thing I did when I got the ability to shoot two portals.
