WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I will be drinking whiskey tonight. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Pidesco Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 This reminds me that I have to buy Martini Dry and Stolichnaya. Rostere Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Stolichnaya. I must say that I really prefer Moskovskaya over Stolichnaya. I know it's their cheaper alternative, but the taste is quite unique. Stolichnaya would probably be better if you're making drinks and want as little flavour as possible though. Enoch Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 So, we're trading a reduction in heart disease for an increase in liver disease and highway deaths. I guess I can drink to that. (Tonight, it will be some Dogfish Head 60-minute IPA.)
alanschu Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I'm a bit skeptical to the overall health benefits of drinking 3-11 shots of vodka a day.
Walsingham Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 I've had three pints of real ale this evening and I feel great. Proper pub, plenty of chat, all smiles and warmth in the heart of growing cold and rain. Bloody tops. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Blank Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) I think it's great that alcohol has health benefits. And I think it's funny that they would assume such terrible things about us in the article, "But these [studies] are often misinterpreted by people looking for a health reason to consume alcohol." Pidesco Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Stolichnaya. I must say that I really prefer Moskovskaya over Stolichnaya. I know it's their cheaper alternative, but the taste is quite unique. Stolichnaya would probably be better if you're making drinks and want as little flavour as possible though. Unfortunately, I've never seen Moskovskaya for sale around here, so I've never tried it. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. Walsingham Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 I am pleased to report that I had three beers in the pub last night, then a very fine malt whisky when I got home. I played a couple of hours of Red October and was awesome. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe.
