Purkake
I finished it. The gameplay was pretty enjoyable, but I take back everything I said about the story before. It was beyond pants-on-head crazy, it felt like the writers took four or five Tom Clancy novels and randomly pasted the chapters together. I mean Russia attacking USA? By air? Trenches in front of the White House? The astronaut? Weird quick-time climbing and crawling? Bullet time out of nowhere? I'd like to see them trump the craziness in MW3, but I'm sure they'll find a way.
WILL THE ALMIGHTY
Still more logical than Metal Gear Solid. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Arkan
I just finished the game myself, and it was pretty crazy. The trenches and whatnot at the whitehouse seemed weird - it would take longer than that to get like that, right? - but it was also really spooky fighting on ground near where I lived for a year, hehe. As someone else put it, it was a rollercoaster ride, and it was a fun game. I'm looking forward to MW3. I hope Soap lives! I wish the Americans had more to do. You finish on top of the whitehouse narrowly avoiding destruction of the whole area, but I wanted to continue on with that platoon or whatever after than scene. "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta

They probably got saved for MW3 as well. In fact, I can't remember seeing as obvious a sequel-tease since KOTOR 2. Which of course should mean that no MW3 will come for several years until a "modern warfare online" gets announced... You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Malcador
Just watched the ending on Youtube, quite familiar to COD4's hah. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Purkake
Still more logical than Metal Gear Solid. I totally though that the ending fight was like MGS4's but MW2 took itself way more seriously. With MGS you can always go back to "oh that crazy Kojima!", but MW is pretty much dead serious... Purkake
That was pretty funny, but I'm pretty sure they were serious all the way through. The whole "jump into this dying person's POV for two minutes" is getting pretty old by now...
WILL THE ALMIGHTY
Agreed. The series needs another shtick other than the "your character dies" plot twist. "Alright, I've been thinking. How many times can you experience dying as a part of the narrative? Hah! "Of course the people don't want war.
