Nihilus5078 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I also thought Galaxian, Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Galaga were good classic games. Dig Dug is kick ass.
Malcador Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Castles II, good memories of that. Pretty good store, GOG. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Rostere Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I must that I recommend the game Original War to anyone who are about to buy something at gog.com... "Well, overkill is my middle name. And my last name. And all of my other names as well!"
Humodour Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Thanks again guys. Could someone tell me how I should play JA2? I got 1/3 of the way through it once then lost it in a disk reformat. I'm guessing JA2 off GOG is patched to the latest version. Should I just play that or should I buy Wildfire and/or Unfinished Business too? I vaguely remember hearing that they're not real xpacks and not worth it.
Deadly_Nightshade Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I'm guessing JA2 off GOG is patched to the latest version. The latest official version, yes. You would, of course, have to add the 1.13 patch yourself if you wanted that. Should I just play that or should I buy Wildfire and/or Unfinished Business too? I would buy the main game first if I were you as the other two aren't that great iirc. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Purkake Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Could someone tell me how I should play JA2? I got 1/3 of the way through it once then lost it in a disk reformat. Very very carefully
Humodour Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Cheers, so patch my current version to 1.13 and don't bother with Wildfire or Unfinished Business, is that it?
Purkake Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Yeah, the original campaign is the one that the modders have tweaked to awesomeness. The others are OK, but pale in comparison with 1.13.

Mainly the patch fixing all those bugs, but the fact that it's on GOG is good too.

Jaesun Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Syberia and Syberia II are 50% off this weekend. Seriously, if you have never played this you are missing out. It is one of the best "Adventure" games with an interesting story to come out in a long, long, long time. Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
HoonDing Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 "Amerzone" is on GOG as well... that's the first Sokal game and referenced a lot in Syberia. E.g. Amerzone cuckoo in Barrockstadt, etc. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
