I haven't played Call Of Duty:WAW for a few days now. I must be sick or something.

This may come as a shock, but Nick and me already bought WaW. Mine is still in the mail, though.

Hurlshot backstabbed the 360 commune by selling his and getting a PS3!

That's a very smart move by him :)

To think I considered buying this console.

I had two die on me and I ever regretted buying the console, so take that for what it is worth. When working, it is a fantastic machine.

But hey, if you are a PC user, you should be used to hardware failures. Seriously, the 360 is only disappointing compared to other consoles. Compared to PC's it's the status quo.

hmm i do not know where do you bought your PCs, but my PCs, which first i bought in 1996, died exactly 4 times on me (in 13 years that i am PC gamer)...

1st time: Motherboard

2nd and 3rd time: Harddrive

4th time: Incompatible Motherboard with Win XP SP3... (which was actualy more issue of bad BIOS than hardware issue)

I've gone through 3 PC's and none of them ever had a piece of hardware fail in their 5 year lifespans. But I can get replacement parts easily for the PC where I live, and thats what turns me of from the xbox360. If I were to get it and it break down on me I would have a horrible time getting a replacement because it all goes through dodgy unofficial sellers. They'd jump through hoops to screw me over. So no 360 for me...

I cant stomach the Wii thing... That leaves the PS3. The PS3 slim is coming soon and it will sell for 300 euros so that might be a better option.

This.

Your not really missing out on anything.

Why bother with any.

Well, hypothetically, the PS3 has the license for many good exclusive titles, and the PS2 had some great titles in its time eg: Shadow of the Collosus, Ico, Okami, Final Fantasy X so I was thinking that the games for the PS3 are bound to pick up sometime... Probably... Hopefully... :shifty:

I use my XBox 360 pretty much only for Guitar Hero -style games and for Live Arcade games. It's great on games like that, like playing Worms or Doom/Duke Nukem 3D with friends. Also I rather play adventure games on it than on my PC. Waiting when my box will go fubar..

I would have bought PS3 if europes PS Store would have better selection of PSOne games. In my opinion the controller is not as good than the XBox 360's controller, but overall it's better system.

I finally cracked and got a 360 this year for a number of reasons:

-PC getting old, can't run the newer games. Not ready to build a new PC.

-Lot of exclusives that don't make it to PC. I like Halo. It takes forever for them to make it to PC and then M$ had to go and make Halo 2 Vista exclusive. BS. Also, I love GTA IV and Lost and Damned add on seems to be 360 exclusive as well as the upcoming Gay Tony. Can't wait for Brutal Legend in Rocktober.

-The recent BS with DRM has been driving me nuts. The delay of Mysteries of Westgate kind of made me snap.

-Friends and family sometimes come over and are interested in games, but sharing a PC just isn't easy. Relaxing in the living room is just easier with a couple of controllers.

-The recent trend seems to be that most of the stuff I'm interested in lately has been coming both to PCs and consoles. Even hardcore PC devs are moving to crossplatform releases like id Software. If all my favorites are going consolized might as well go console.

The last console I owned was a Sega Genesis and I never thought I'd get another console, but things just added up this year so what the heck. The scariest thing was learning about the failure rate. From what I understand the recent ones have been fairly stable (thank goodness). I've had mine for 7+ months now and no problems. I hope I haven't jynxed myself. :shifty:

Still love my PC and there are things the consoles just can't do. Took quite a while to get used to the controller. Never played a FPS on a controller before. Mouse & Keyboard are still better but I've become pretty good with the controller. Recent Wolfenstein controls really well with the 360 controller. I felt almost as proficient as with a mouse and keyboard.

Aw crap, is Wolfenstein a 360 only title? I can't use the controler in fps. Serious, my best move would be to run.

No there is a PC version. Both have been criticized a lot though, mostly for being uninspired.

Elite price dropped to $300, Pro to $250, but Pro is no longer produced, and Elite won't include HDMI cable in the future. This is stupid, with Blu-Ray and Wi-fi, PS3 is clearly a better deal at $300, well, unless you actually care about playing games.

If your 360 gets a red ring of death, which is the most common failure, Microsoft sends you a fed-ex box. You pack it up, put it in the mail (free of charge) and they send you a refurbished one in a couple weeks. It's pretty painless, unless you are a crazy person who can't handle being without a console for a few weeks (which seem to be all over the MS forums.)

Surprise surprise, Xbox (not only xbox but all electronics) customer support in whole ex-eastern europe (he is from serbia i am from slovakia we know what are we talking about) sucks walrus balls... Solving most of the RMAs is as painful as hitting your balls with hammer... Because afaik xbox is not handled by MS directly here, but by some 3rd party business...

EDIT: You are realy lucky that you have that kind of support, but in here, it would be miracle if i got the unit sooner than in 30 days... and 30 days without thingie which i paid 300+ EUR for, is not very good deal imo...
