Clan invasions didn't hit until around 3030. Loki is a clan mech, the one in the game is a warhammer (the one being piloted anyway)

I swear, the weapon slots on the arms are not long enough for a warhammer

Actually, they seem longer than they should be.

But eh, maybe Calax can identify it.

on that note the other image on that page of the warhammer looks cool, which btw is useable

In game neither will be I think. The Loki is a clan mech and the warhammer is on the unsuable list for being a stolen design.

And the image that people are talking about is a hellbringer aka Loki

In just a few days, MekTek founders (VAM and WhiteFeather) will be converging on the Vancouver/Seattle areas to meet with both Mechwarrior and BattleTech officials. MekTek's first stop will be in Vancouver to meet with Piranha Games' president Russ Bullock for a friendly discussion about their Mechwarrior endeavors. Following a night in Vancouver, a flight to Seattle, home of the electronic Mechwarrior license holder Smith and Tinker, and its president Jordan Weisman. Here MekTek hopes to finalize the legalities surrounding the free release of Microsoft's Mechwarrior4 that was announced back in July simultaneously with the announcement of the Mechwarrior Reboot. After meeting with Jordan, MekTek plans to meet up with the BattleTech licensees at Catalyst Game Labs, the producers of the BattleTech board game and related novels. Pending success with Smith and Tinker Inc., MekTek will be releasing the free version of Mechwarrior4 shortly there after. Not only has time been a factor in preparing the free release, but monetary resources as well. Studio MekTek Inc. was required to purchase hefty software distribution insurance @ $4500 for the royalty free distribution. Our partners from Catalyst Game Labs and Virtual World Entertainment are helping Studio MekTek Inc. pay for about half of the insurance bill. The trip to Seattle will also exceed $1500, all of which is being paid for by staff out of our own pockets.

In appreciation for our community support, on the free release of Mechwarrior4, we invite members of our community to post one question that you would like MekTek founders to ask regarding the Mechwarrior Reboot. Since Studio MekTek Inc. is under NDA we will openly ask these questions to the official representatives and ask them to please answer any of the questions they are comfortable with. We remind the community that MekTek practices complete disclosure unless otherwise instructed. Note that we will not be asking all of the questions posted but we will cherry pick the best ones for our discussions.

During our visit we will be posting photos taken in Seattle and Vancouver so keep a close eye on the MekTek.net homepage next week! Who knows what you might see!

Please post your questions in this thread. Please note that this is not a formal interview.

The Mechwarrior4 FREE release is still currently to be announced. MekTek had hoped to gain permission for the release while visiting Smith and Tinker, Inc. in Seattle this week. However, we have learned that Microsoft has endured several administrative changes which currently impede the release. The good news, however, is that a meeting to finalize the release is scheduled near the American Thanks Giving Holiday. Smith and Tinker said that it will only take 1-2 more days before permission is granted. From MekTek, we are happy to report that the release is ready and awaiting permission to push that big shiny green release button at MekTek headquarters.

Oh Purkake, MW 4 will probably be released (someday) through mtx, which is mektek's torrent client, so we'll have to torrent it no matter what. :teehee:
