mike kills you Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 ok query: is there gonna be mp ( multiplayer ) and is it gonna b co op or deathmatch or both? It would b really cool to have like a ranking system! Like when u rank up u get skill points, just like in the game and u can allocate them to each skill desired to have high, like in the actual story mode! And each kill u get gives u xp and at the end of each match u get paid a certain amount of money, depending on ur KDR ( kill/death/ ratio ) for that match. U then use that money to buy guns, armor, accesories, grenades, traps and the such... Please I hope it's not too late to make this descion and if u do take my opinion I to mind I hope it helps u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rostere Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I agree, MP would actually be fun... GoldenEye 64 anyone? "Well, overkill is my middle name. And my last name. And all of my other names as well!"
Silvernite Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I'm not a fan of multiplayer. I'd rather have one solid single player experience than an average single player experience with a tacked on multiplayer.
mike kills you Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 No. DAMMMMMMMMMIIITTT!!!!!!!! But I still hope it's not too late to change their minds:)
Enoch Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Multiplayer really doesn't work with the kind of game they're trying to create. Obsidz wants to give their players interesting choices and force them to decide between relying on combat, stealth, gadgetry, hacking, etc. Multiplayer would reduce the character-building process to an exercise in calculating combat efficacy, and pretty much invalidate the usefulness of every build focused on combat-avoidance.
Oblarg Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Co-op simply does not work with the plot, you'd need an entirely different story. A deathmatch mode for a RPG is simply dumb. kreese12 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I don't think MP would work out at all for this game. The only thing that sounds a remotely good idea in this avenue, is perhaps a 1vs1 MP DLC thing.
mkreku Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 A deathmatch mode for a RPG is simply dumb. No it's not! I would love to take my level 30 maxxed out character online to PWN some level 1-10 n00bs. Really. R3411Y! Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Tigranes Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 It would be nice if the combat was good enough to make people want a multiplayer component. Anyway, zero chance of this happening so late in development, unfortunately. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Contagen Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 maybe there could be a system where you can buy weapons from other players and trade different gear and such but quoting oblarg on the deathmatch aspect "no"
Bos_hybrid Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) Personally I'm glad there isn't, SP parts almost always get shafted when MP get added. Unless its Valve. Edited July 11, 2009 by Bos_hybrid
