I just had an orgasm.

One more for the road:

Oh god, I am so choosing her as my first char. I actually rarely played sorc in D2, but this chick is so much better. The mirror image spell (split into 6) seems especially awesome if it can be combined with a melee augmentation skill/spell like, say, enchant or something.

D3 has been on the board for at least a year now. The april fools joke they did was the loremaster class, he's got no hitpoints but can be pretty powerful.

Anyway, I'm not really that interested in D3. if it's standard diablo fare i'll probably get really bored by the end of normal setting.

This is its third year in production. I'm expecting it to come out 2010 or early 2011 at the very latest.

I find the new skill runes system very exciting. You can check out a presentation about the various skill systems they tried and the final one they chose at gametrailers. It gives some good insight into their development process(Skill horadric cube :shifty:) and shows the awesomeness that is rune-enchanted teleport(think Nightcrawler).

And the awesome thing is this game will run on my Mac! Along with Warcraft 3, Diablo 1, and Diablo 2. **** I love Blizzard.

Now if only they'd release their internal Linux builds of these games I'd be pretty much in heaven.

Ah yes, the Linux heaven where you have to compile your own afterlife. It's hard to get started and a bit buggy at times but it makes it up by being ultra customizable.

These are all old videos. I wouldn't label them orgasm material, but they are pleasantly stimulating.

I run Linux (Ubuntu) and I've never compiled a programme (that wasn't my own) in my life). It also detects my laptop's hardware better than Windoze does. Ubuntu took Plug N' Pray and made it Plug N' Play. But yes, you're most probably correct for any distro other than Ubuntu.

Moreover, ID software releases their games on Linux (e.g. Quake 4) and nobody has to compile anything! :D

This pretty much sums my virgin experience with Ubuntu aswell... And i even think that Ubuntu is now more user friendly than any Windows...

But i still use Windows 90% of the time...

I was kidding...

Also, Linux is awesome as long as it works, but if you have to fix something or get something that doesn't work working you will be plunged head first into the awesomeness that is the console and that is never a pleasant experience.

I have Puppy Linux for troubleshooting, but I use windows mainly because I like to play windows game and Wine just isn't good enough.

I'm expecting it to come out 2010 or early 2011 at the very latest.

On the one hand, I want it now. On the other hand, I'm not quite ready to build the new pc I want to play the game on. Xmas 2009 would be awesome tho...2011 would have me gnashing my teeth. :(

The flashy new graphics look good/are nice, but I only hope it has the same addictive quality of the previous Blizz games. I'm sure the Wizard will be the first I try.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

Mm. I think it's telling that Blizzard are saying it will run on low-end systems and not use DX10.

I.e.: they like flashy graphics but it's not what's going to sell the game. :D

I'm looking forward to Diablo 3, but I'm hoping I don't have to buy a new rig to play it. Right now, it's not mine that worries me. It's the wife's. ...And nowadays, we both need a computer powerful enough to run the latest games.

I'm sure D3 would run on either my ancient pc or my somewhat better one I currently play games on, so probably no serious worries for many people. But I want to play D3 at max resolutions with high settings and all that...which I don't think either of my computers could quite handle without turning into a lag fest. :(

It'd be nice if hubby would play D3 with me (he played D2 for a while) but he's largely lost interest in the way the game market has gone, so I won't hold my breath. heh

Diablo 3 looks awesome and I look forward to its release, but that will probably take a while...

Who do you think we'll fight in Diablo III?

I think it will be Tyrael. Didn't he have Baal's soulstone in him for awhile? And isn't he on the front and center of the box art?

He's been corrupted and driven insane. Act I: The hero learns that a new danger threatens the land. Act II: The hero realizes that Tyrael is the one behind the evil and runs around killing his lieutenants. Act III: Hero confronts Tyrael/Baal who is trying to resurrect Diablo and destroys him.

Eight months later, an expansion pack comes out. Diablo was brought back from the dead and you kill him once more.
