I don't understand some of your "cry about" points; When it was confirmed that the games(the FPS and the RPG) were shelved (considering Sega NEVER did a official statement about it but we knew) ppl refused to believe it and were way more positive.

 

Now for the 1st time we got an OFFICIAL and updated confirmation from Sega's PR confirming that both, the Rpg and the Fps are going to be finished; a few days later we know that GBX did NEW contracts so anything could happen with the Rpg and ppl still cry about it?

 

Obviously Sega is not going to release the 3 games at time, IMO it's absolutely normal that Obsidian is not working on it now if you understand the timeline AVP->ACM->AC

I'm not sure that if even if the game is to be resumed, it would be in the same hands of Obsidian.

 

Unlike GBX's CM, Obsidian's work and concept arts are all over the places now that could signify that the peeps who worked on the game had already left for a greener pasture elsewhere. So even if it does get resumed, it'll probably will few years down the road which Obsidian may or may not be working on it.

 

Regardless, just cross your fingers that AP finds the commercial hit it needs when its finally released. It'll at least encourage Sega the willingness to invest more risks in continuing developing the Aliens franchise in Obsidian's hands.

This game cannot be done by other studio for a simple reason, they are using exclusive Obsidian Technology that this studio won't allow to share. Probably if it is going to be finished as Sega said it will be with a "new" team from the remain ppl.

That's a fact, even the ppl working right now at the GBX is not the same.

 

Also from what we know there is absolutely no screens or any kind of material from the actual in-game, there is absolutely nothing unlike the GBX game that has leaked videos, ingame screens and finally some concept arts and 3d models in more or less the same amount as the rpg. So it's not a Duken Nukem Forever situation releasing all at once if that's what you mean.

 

IMO Those concepts comming those days are just lucky ones comming from the same person, if it would mean something to the status of the game it would be released 3 months ago and at the same time as others stuff. Also concept arts are the 1st thing that leaks in any game, released or not and and in any amount.
