Starwars Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Ben Houge (Arcanum soundtracks) - Tarant This is such a great soundtrack. So unique and fitting to the game. Pidesco Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 /snip/ There are some pretty atrocious choices in that list. Europe, for example. I mean, Europe? Europe? Really? "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian touristI am Dan Quayle of the Romans.I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands.Heja Sverige!!Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Gorth Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 Really? I thought you loved all things Swedish? The "classification" is a bit off on some of those bands. Last time I checked, Queen wasn't exactly "heavy metal" Queen - "Killer Queen" “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Oblarg Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) Gamma Ray - Rebellion in Dreamland Edited June 15, 2009 by Oblarg "The universe is a yawning chasm, filled with emptiness and the puerile meanderings of sentience..." - Ulyaoth "It is all that is left unsaid upon which tragedies are built." - Kreia "I thought this forum was for Speculation & Discussion, not Speculation & Calling People Trolls." - lord of flies

Last time I checked, Queen wasn't exactly "heavy metal" Queen - "Killer Queen" Watch me wiggle myself out of this one. Well, Europe are totally cool if you listen to them very, very ironically. Also, the hair and clothes were full of horrible awesome. And I was a big fan of Final Countdown when I was around 6 or 7 years old. Blarghagh Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 That list is fail because no Manowar. Seriously. Manowar is the sum of all things right (and wrong) with metal. HAIL AND KILL.
Oblarg Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 That list is fail because no Manowar. Seriously. Manowar is the sum of all things right (and wrong) with metal. HAIL AND KILL. Gamma Ray is better. Starwars Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) Mark Morgan (Planescape: Torment soundtrack) - The Fortress of Regrets One of the absolute best game themes I know. Chilling, and of course, the moment where it plays in the game is immense. It just seems to tell of a long journey coming to an end. Nihilus5078 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) Runes to my Memory by Amon Amarth now that what I call a great death growl. Man I have had a recent love for Death Metal. but Amon Amarth I have several favorite songs by them: The Pursuit of Vikings Victorious March With Oden on our side Cry of the Black Birds Guardians of Asgaard The Dragons Flight Across the Waves this video might be a bit cruel, but its the only good video I could find. If you'd rather just watch lyrics, look below. The Dragons Flight Across the Waves Edited June 15, 2009 by Nihilus5078

Nihilus5078 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 And some more good Death Metal songs: may be more Doom Metal, but still sounds like it has some Death Metal in it. The 4th Crusade by Bolt Thrower My Dying Bride is a great both Doom/Death Metal mixture group.
Oblarg Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Some of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYLCKDPvOU4 Gamma Ray - Eagle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeiX6bf2OPI Gamma Ray - Rebellion in Dreamland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPWjB2S92BA Gamma Ray - Solid "The universe is a yawning chasm, filled with emptiness and the puerile meanderings of sentience..." - Ulyaoth "It is all that is left unsaid upon which tragedies are built." - Kreia "I thought this forum was for Speculation & Discussion, not Speculation & Calling People Trolls." - lord of flies
samm Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) The Eden House - Freak Regarding metal, I'm looking forward to seeing Amon Amarth, Amorphis, Cynic, Deathstars, Epica, Equilibrium, Katatonia, Moonspell, Opeth, ... soon Edited June 15, 2009 by samm Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority
fastpunk Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Rom Di Prisco - Go Down (UT3 Remix) UT fans will recognize this track, as it is a remix of the theme from DM-Deck 16 and DM-HyperBlast (which was composed by Alex Brandon if I'm not mistaken). Despite initial doubts, I'm quite glad I decided to get the Unreal Tournament 3 OST. It's frickin' mental! The way they are used in the game itself is pretty sad though (broken into fragments and made action-sensitive), it fails to highlight how ballsy these songs are. Aristes Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Funny. I use this thread to try new stuff. Wasn't all that impressed with the Gamma Ray song, but that might just be my mood at the time. Boys of Summer -- Don Henley
