deganawida
That better be the 1930-s film noir style RPG that I have been waiting for. With all the femme fatales, mysteries and gunplay. If it is not, I WILL be dissapointed. (Please Obsidian?) Oh, man, that would rock. I came up with something similar last year, but my idea was an MMO. It'd have to be AO, as my idea would have the PCs smoking cigarettes and drinking shots of whiskey in order to restore health (or "moxy", as my idea went). Pidesco
Is this a wish list? Then I wish for an open-world action RPG with a strong story and.. vehicles. Kind of like the RPG equivalent of GTA4. Made by Obsidian. I don't care about the setting, but contemporary times with nothing supernatural would be perfect for me. So you would also want a film noir style 1930s detective story? The graphics could be Sin City style and you could be a detective solving mysteries and having gunfights with thugs. But not like Mafia, it was good, but this would need to be more detectiv-y. I think it should be more adventure-like with less shootouts and more holding people at gunpoint. If guns are to be used, it should be in short "one hit kills" style. And one melee hit to the back of the head would knock out everyone. Also, it should be real time. Like one night where everything goes south for our detective. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian touristI am Dan Quayle of the Romans.I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands.Heja Sverige!!Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend. EDIT: Looking around, it looks like a PS3 exclusive. Respect the PC, damn it! It was announced as a PS3 exklusive. But then there were rumours and doubts...Look at the Team Bondi website, they state that the game is coming out for "next gen consoles". This might include the 360 as well. Morgoth
So, officially, Obsidian has Alpha Protocol and Aliens RPG in production. Anyone know of any new glimpse for a new project? Kotor3 would be cool, but LA already is married with Bioware so it might just not happen. BG3? new IP? Come one dear Devs, please throw us a little bone! Rain makes everything better. I hope they have their plate full with sequels they are slaving away at for their new Corporate overlords. Also would Microsoft really risk another failure with a franchise that bombed so horribly? Kaftan Barlast
I think the Shadowrun setting is rubbish, people only talk about it because they remember the nintendo game. But seriously, it's unbelievably stupid. It was just some hoodlums sitting around in their basement going "We like D&D and we like Cyberpunk... how about we put them together? Like mustard on a custard pie!" I think they should make an horror platform game set in Jane Austen's books, that would be terrific idea. Just add zombies and you're ready to go. I like how the multinational corporations rule the world in a delicate balance, how magic and technology co-exist and how deadly it feels. Sure, there is some really weird stuff there as well, but you could do a lot worse with a PnP rpg setting.
