mkreku Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 And the Leafs lost yet another game by one goal. Becoming their trademark this season. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Were you expecting more? I'm kind of shocked at how well the Leafs have been faring minus Sundin this season. They aren't last in their division, far from it. Plus there's been those three or four games where the team has comeback from incredible odds to force overtime. I only know this because thats what makes the headlines at TSN for a day or so. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Krookie Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 what a game last night, Penguins and Red Wings huh? Jordan Staal scores 3 times in the third period (once in the final minute no less) to force overtime, and then sets up the OT winner.

They aren't last in their division, far from it. Plus there's been those three or four games where the team has comeback from incredible odds to force overtime. I only know this because thats what makes the headlines at TSN for a day or so. Which makes this all the more odd that mkreku seems so down about the Leafs. They've been playing some damn good hockey and are far above expectations. Hell, they are tied with New Jersey for 8th place in the East! Also, it's nice to see Grabovski doing well. It's so hard to watch Leafs games because I want to see Grabovski do really well, but I hate the team he plays for.
mkreku Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Which makes this all the more odd that mkreku seems so down about the Leafs. I'm not really down about the Leafs, I am as positively surprised as the next guy by the young guys. But I kind of lost interest in the pre-season when things looked bleak and Sundin left so I haven't been following the NHL as closely as I usually do. I guess my disinterest is what you're interpreting as me being down about them. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Deraldin Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I guess my disinterest is what you're interpreting as me being down about them. You're probably right. Also, I find it interesting that a player who couldn't crack the lineup in Montreal has more goals than anyone else in Toronto and is only three points behind the team lead.
Hurlshort Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 It's been rumored that Burke will be heading to the Leafs for the last year.
Deraldin Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 It's been rumored that Burke will be heading to the Leafs for the last year. Yeah, but I wasn't really expecting them to make the switch in the middle of the year while Burke is still under contract.
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Doesn't matter, Burke is a douchebag anyway. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Volourn Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 With a SC ring, a successful career in hockey, millions of dollars, and very likely a wonderful personal life. I don't think he's the douche. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Volourn Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Most unsuccessful people are douchebags. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
alanschu Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Proving that, in fact, most people are douchebags. Sadly I don't disagree with that assertion either...
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 We've discussed the pros and cons of Burke's success before, haven't we? And welcome back to the scoresheet, Alex Ovechkin, may you be a boon to my hockey pool! Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
mkreku Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 But Semin is on fire! I knew he was good, but THIS good?! How long can he keep up this frantic scoring tempo? Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Deraldin Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Montreal fans are stuffing the all-star fan voting ballot box. According to the current voting tally, Montreal would supply the entire starting lineup for the Eastern Conference team. Koivu, Kovalev, Tanguay, Markov, Komisarek and Price all have more than 125000 votes while the next highest is Luongo with 67000.
Volourn Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I'm one of the iggest supports of fan voting for the ASG but this hurts my case to be sure. Silly MTL fans. *shrug* DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Hurlshort Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I miss the attempt at getting one rep from each team. I know that leaves out some big star players (like Malkin or Datsyuk) but it's also great for the fans of less stacked teams.
mkreku Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Yeah, me too. But it might be a good thing that the Leafs won't be sending anyone this year.. Of course, at least we won over the slimy Oilers tonight! FNAR FNAR Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
