March 30, 200421 yr Nice find, pregethwr Set many years after the events in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Sith Lord will feature a whole new cast of characters. Sith Lord sounds OK. At least Jedi isn't in the title. Now that would be lame.
March 30, 200421 yr It could use some improvement that is certain. TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
March 30, 200421 yr The Creeping Fear Rumored title for Star Wars Episode 3. :D "Sith Lord" doesn't sound so bad now...
March 30, 200421 yr Horrible title. Fits in with attack of the clowns though. The creeping fear sounds like a Lovecraft book I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
March 31, 200421 yr Interesting.. it also is saying the product is PC, not X-box. You would think if the x-box version was supposed to come out well before the pc that the x-box version would pop up
March 31, 200421 yr Dumb name and I hope that site doesn't have it 100% correct. My suggestion for the sequel is to call it "Dark Lords of the Sith". You see Knights of the Old Republic wasn't an original name when BioWare chose it. It was taken from a novel (that did take place thousands of years ago I think) called "Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic". No similarity story line though and the book came out a few years back. Since the second book in that series was called "Dark Lords of the Sith" I think KOTOR2 should take that title. Maybe the site got the rumor wrong. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=books&n=507846 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=books&n=507846
March 31, 200421 yr Well, it appears also that Lucas Arts is developing it inhouse. Yeah, maybe they got it wrong. "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta
March 31, 200421 yr If true, score one for PC gamers everywhere Yea, but gut feeling tells me I'm wrong.
March 31, 200421 yr Well, it appears also that Lucas Arts is developing it inhouse. Yeah, maybe they got it wrong. If thats true then Delawere isn This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
March 31, 200421 yr Author Nice find, pregethwr Set many years after the events in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Sith Lord will feature a whole new cast of characters. Sith Lord sounds OK. At least Jedi isn't in the title. Now that would be lame. Thanks, but to be honest I just saw it on another site.
March 31, 200421 yr Which doesn't mean much if they just took it from the other or had the same source.
March 31, 200421 yr I think the best title would be KOTOR 2, sans any lame, cliched subtitle with the requisite "dark" something or other in it. Either that or "The Other Knights of the Old Republic".
March 31, 200421 yr I think with "Sith Lord" Gamestop meant that new SW-game where you can play Darth Vader personally that Lucas Arts already mentioned on the GDC. Read here. Don't know whether thats Delaware or not, but at least "Sith Lord" and playing with Darth Vader sounds very.... logical. Rain makes everything better.
March 31, 200421 yr Kotor2's release will coincide with Episode 3 so it wouldn't surprise me if you play Vader. It's the perfect opportunity for a cash-in, and LucasArts don't miss out on them too often.
March 31, 200421 yr If this is true then its Delaware which is a good thing. The last thing I want to see Obsidian do is a Bioware hand-me-down.
