Walsingham Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 What if I really am the only person who can prevent forest fires? What the hell am I doing working in the UK if that's true, and why hasn't FEMA got in touch about a green card? "It wasn't lies. Deraldin Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Then I'd say that an awful lot of forests are going to be burning down.
LadyCrimson Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 That bear in those commercials always kind of creeped me out. “Things are as they are. Rosbjerg Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I sense that the Green Card is on it's way - but a forest fire has probably delayed it. Fortune favors the bald.

theslug Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Forest fires are good though. Stupid park rangers and ecologists. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

Sand Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Forest fires are good though. Stupid park rangers and ecologists. Only if they occur naturally and not by man-made carelessness. Murphy's Law of Computer Gaming: The listed minimum specifications written on the box by the publisher are not the minimum specifications of the game set by the developer. @\NightandtheShape/@ - "Because you're a bizzare strange deranged human?" Enoch Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Forest fires are good though. Stupid park rangers and ecologists. Only if they occur naturally and not by man-made carelessness. Not really. The function of a forest fire in the ecosystem is the same regardless of how it is started. Human-started fires clear out old dead ground cover & break openings in the canopy so that new growth can start on the forest floor just as well as lightning-sparked fires. Problems only arise when human interaction leads to fires starting either far more rarely or more frequently than they would otherwise occur.
