Gorgon
Yeah they're sweet and all, but i'm kinda annoyed at the boundless sacrifices you seem to be required to make because of 'the kids' Last summer vactation, we all pitched in for a villa sized vacation house. The best room does to my elder brother and my elder sister, why,.... because they have procreated. I can't take my dog with me and sit down and have a cup of coffe in the yard of my building, which I pay for the maintanence of with my rent.. why,,, the children.. think of the children. The same yard/garden area has had the grass worn completely off by the commings and goings of the little bundles of joy from the kindergarden next door, and my ****ing bicycle has had it's air let out of it mysteriously 4 times over the last month,, I can take todlers and kids age 15+, keep the rest the hell away from me Edited June 4, 2007 by Gorgon Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. WILL THE ALMIGHTY
From that statement I can conclude all babies are manipulative evil geniuses. Like Stewie. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Hurlshort
She is finally home! w00t! Kiss your last full nights sleep goodbye for about 6 months. 6 months? More like 6 years. Seriously, most babies don't start sleeping more than 4 hours at a time for the first few years.
astr0creep
She sleeps from 1 to 3 hours straight for now, which is not too bad. But it's fading. She's now beginning to step away from the feeding schedule imposed at the hospital nursery. She drinks a bit less but a bit more often and we can see her gaining some weight, which is a very good thing. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/

Well I can only speak from my own experiences but my daughter was sleeping through the night (6-7 hour stretch) before she turned one. metadigital
I think it helps if the parents are as disciplined as they expect the baby to be; no point in expecting the baby to sleep through the night if the parents are not routine with their awake and bedtimes and are upsetting the rhythm of the child. As far as I can tell, the only rythm a newborn baby has is the grumbling of the stomach. Day, night, silence or noise it doesn't matter. She sleeps unless she's hungry and not even poopy pants wake her up(although she definitaly let us know about the discomforts of a wet diaper). http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
metadigital
Yeah, the first few days aren't going to have much rhythm. I meant the rhythm you instill, as you train her (and you) to sleep at night.
